Super Beach Bash! [1]

"Ahh! The beach! I can't remember the last time we came here!" Orimi said excitedly.

"The beach...My true enemy..." Tsuki said and held her umbrella over her head, blocking the sun.

"Who's ready to play some volleyball?!" Himeko bellowed and ran on the beach holding a beach ball over her head.

"Wait for me, boss!" Keishi ran after her.

"Mina is happy. Mina is pleased with the beach." Mina ran after Keishi and Himeko.

Ochiyo and Naora smiled then looked at each other then followed Himeko and the others. I went to get the tents set up and placed the chairs under the tent. I had the help from Karasu, Mae, Rimuri, and Bachiko setting up the tent. I helped Tsuki set up her umbrella next to the tent.

"Hey girls! Let's play some ball!" Himeko waved in our direction.

"Okay!" Everyone but Tsuki said.

I walked over to Tsuki and sat beside her. She looked at me then blushed and smiled. She looked back at the others.

"Sometimes I wish I could play with the others. If I wasn't so held back by the sunlight then I could be out there playing like the others.." Tsuki said.

"It's alright, knowing mom and the others, they will be up all day doing activities. That reminds me, later I'm gonna be barbequing food. We are actually having a party celebrating the defeat of the MHHQ if you didn't know." I smiled.

"Wait the MHHQ doesn't exist anymore?" Tsuki asked.

"Yasuo is dead. The MHHQ no longer exists." I said.

Tsuki smiled and nodded.

Himeko and Ochiyo set up the volleyball net then began to assemble their team of five.

"Alright let's get this started! It's me, Ochiyo, Naora, Bachiko, and Karasu against Orimi, Rimuri, Namiyo, Mae, and Mina!" Himeko said.

"I've never played Volleyball before. What do I do?" Rimuri asked.

"Just follow me. You'll get it soon enough." Orimi smiled at Rimuri.

"Alright, first serve is me!" Himeko said as she held the volleyball in her hand. She tossed the ball in the air and ran forward then jumped up and served the ball over the net.

"I got it!" Mae said then returned the ball into the air.

"Mina, give me a toss!" Orimi said.

"Mina is tossing the ball." Mina said then hit the ball with both hands, sending it in the air towards Orimi.

Orimi jumped up and smacked the ball to the ground.

"Not a chance!" Bachiko said then hit the ball in the air using her arm.

Karasu jumped up and spiked the ball. Namiyo dived and hit the ball in the air with her fist.

"Rimuri!" Orimi said.

Rimuri looked at the ball and ran forward then jumped up then smacked the ball down at high speeds. Naora appeared in front of Karasu then hit the ball in the air and grunted.

"You're wide open." Ochiyo said then jumped up and tapped the ball down to the ground with her fingertips, scoring a point for her team.

"The game is intense.." Tsuki said.

"Yeah.." I nodded.

"Woohoo! I'm getting pumped up now!" Himeko smiled and grabbed the ball from the ground after Mae rolled it to her.

"Literally an unfair match. You, sis, and Naora are literally volleyball champions." Namiyo said.

"Hey just get good!" Himeko teased and giggled. "Now into the second serve!"

Himeko tossed the ball in the air again then ran forward and smacked the ball over the net. Rimuri managed to return the ball in the air. Mae walked backwards and tossed the ball.

"Nice!" Orimi said then jumped up and saw an open area then spiked the ball to the ground, scoring.

Orimi's team cheered and gave each other high fives.

"Big brother! Did you see that? I got a score!" Orimi laughed and waved her hand at me.

"Good job, Orimi! Keep it up!" I said then smiled.

The volleyball ball game was very ordinary until Himeko, Naora, Mae, Namiyo, Mina, and Ochiyo left the field to help me set up for the barbeque.

"How about we make this game a little less human, and more monster like." Bachiko smirked as she held the ball in her hand. Dark aura appeared around the ball then she tossed it up then jumped up and served the ball.

"Eh?!" Orimi looked surprised.

Rimuri appeared in front of Orimi in the air and returned the ball to the sky. She grunted as she landed on the sand. "Orimi!"

Orimi escaped her trance then ran to the ball and tossed it in the air. "There!"

Rimuri ran to the ball and her blue eyes shined as she jumped up. She spotted an open spot then spiked the ball to that spot.

"Think again!" Karasu hit the ball with her fist and it flew into the air.

"Nice pass!" Bachiko said then ran forward and left a hole in the ground then jumped up. She spiked the ball and Orimi quickly dodged the ball. "That's a point for us!"

Orimi looked surprised as she saw smoke coming from the ball. "W-Wha...A-Are you trying to kill us?!" Orimi looked at Bachiko.

"Mmm...50/50." Bachiko shrugged.

"Hey!" Orimi pointed at Bachiko. "You're a witch!"

The game continued like this for a while, and Orimi and Rimuri were getting blown away. They were at a huge disadvantage. It stated that way until...

"Orimi!" Rimuri tossed the ball in the air towards Orimi.

"Take...THIS!" Orimi bellowed and smacked the ball, unleasing a pulse-like wave on the ball then the ball flew to the ground creating a shockwave once the ball hit the ground.

Bachiko and Karasu looked surprised then looked back noticing a massive sand crater in the ground. Orimi landed on the ground and looked at her hand then shook her hand and her aura vanished.

Naora laughed a bit. "She awakened her Monster Aura in the heat of the game."

"That's what a competitive game can do to you. Makes you awaken that inner beast within." Himeko laughed softly as she helped cook the food.

I looked at them and smiled.

Everyone had became hungry and once we got done cooking, everyone came to the tent to relax and eat together. Orimi sat beside me and fed me a piece of shrimp. She giggled and I blushed out of embarrassment. Tsuki sat with us and ate her food.

"We should do something tonight." Ochiyo said. "We can't just end the celebration at one day. We should stay here the entire week. No more monsters have been sighted in a while."

"Yeah, maybe we can build some sand castles or something, I mean this is our beach." Himeko smiled.

"This whole area is mine, so do as you please." Naora smiled then rested in her chair.

"Yoshida! Play a game with me!" Rimuri said as she looked at me.

I looked at Rimuri and noticed her on her gigantic blob. I smiled then nodded and stood up to go over to Rimuri. "What game do you want to to play?"

"Let's battle!" Rimuri smiled.

"Battle?" I asked.

Her blob opened her mouth then she pulled out her halberd from its mouth.

"Eh? You're gonna fight Yoshida?" Naora asked.

"We're just gonna do a little horseplaying! Don't worry!" Rimuri smiled.

I looked at her then smiled. "Well if you'd like. Let's do it." I summoned my katana.

Her blob released a tiny beam and drew a large circle around us. "We have to try to knock each other out this circle! I saw this game on TV and wanted to try it."

I nodded then she got off her blob then stood in front of me. She held her halberd to the sky and smiled. She dashed to me and slashed with her halberd. I blocked the attack and stood my ground. I countered her attack then swept her off her feet then she fell on the ground. She stood up then ran to me and I took multiple steps back. I dodged her attack and tripped her. She grunted as she fell out the circle.

"N-No fair!" Rimuri turned around and pointed at me.

"A win is a win." I gave a smug smile and shrugged.

"My brother does have a knack of knowing how to get easy wins." Orimi smiled.

"He's done that since he was little." Naora laughed a bit.

Mae watched and smiled. "He does that occasionally on exams and somehow passes them."

Everyone gave a soft laugh then I went back to the tent and sat down. I relaxed in my chair and the other girls went back outside to play more volleyball. Tsuki sat next to me and watched me play a game on my phone. Himeko had fallen asleep. Naora and Ochiyo were building a sand castle. Namiyo was taking a stroll along the shore of the beach. Mae, Mina, and Keishi were showing off their best devices and valuables.

Everything was peaceful and we all waited until nighttime for Himeko to show us what she had planned. I could only imagine what she had in store for tonight and the days following that.
