Saving Rimuri

Rimuri roared as she made the golem throw a punch. Yaseo avoided the attack then used his energy blade to slice the arm off the golem. The goo the arm left behind quickly slithered back to the golem and a new arm was reconstructed.

"Blast him away!" Rimuri bellowed.

A mouth appeared on the stomach of the golem then it opened gaping wide and a small ball of blue energy appear. The golem released a massive beam at Yaseo. He grunted and dodged the beam and noticed it being shot to the sky.

Mae flew past Yaseo and sliced the legs off the golem. Rimuri grunted as the golem tipped over. Mae prepared to deal the finishing blow but a void opened in front of her. Mae grunted as she was sucked into the void. The void closed then another one opened and blasted Mae into a building. She groaned and rolled on her side on the floor.

"Unit M43! Unit N311E! Provide some support over here!" Yaseo commanded.

"On it!" A woman said then flew toward the golem.

"Nene...don't..." Mae grunted and slowly stood up.

Rimuri watched Nene fly toward her then roared and multiple voids circled Nene. Nene flew upwards then aimed her sniper at the golem's head. She pulled the trigger and a beam of Anti-Energy blasted off the head of the golem, exposing Rimuri.

"I got it all under control, Mae." Nene said then took aim again. She fired another beam of Anti-Energy at Rimuri directly.

Rimuri used a void to teleport away from the golem. The beam hit the ground and caused damages to the road. She reappeared and summoned another void then pulled out her spear.

"Oblisse! Answer my call!" Rimuri bellowed and her spear shined brightly.

She flew toward Nene quickly, but Yaseo intercepted then slashed down at Rimuri. Rimuri blocked the slash with the handle of her spear then roared, pushing Yaseo backwards. She slammed the flat side of the blade against Yaseo, sending him crashing to the ground.

Nene grunted and flew over to Yaseo to check on him. Mae propelled herself toward Rimuri and bellowed. The two rapidly clashed then Mae flew backwards to avoid Rimuri's next slash then flew toward her once again.

Rimuri spit at Mae then the spit turned into goo and covered Mae's face. Mae groaned and tried to pull the goo off her face, but the goo began to solidify. Mae cried out for help and Nene flew toward Mae at high speeds then gripped the goo and detacted it from Mae's face using her Anti-Energy gauntlets. She threw it toward Rimuri and Rimuri caught it then consumed it.

"This monster is highly dangerous! We have to end this now! Everyone get back!" Nene bellowed and aimed her sniper at Rimuri. "Full Power!"

The sniper began to charge up then Rimuri surrounded herself with Monster Energy. Rimuri roared and caused a Collosal Burst as Nene fired the massive beam of energy at the dome of destructive energy. The recoil caused Nene to fly backwards. She bellowed then a bright light shined and an explosion followed.

Nene panted and lowered her sniper. Yaseo, Mae, and Nene watched the smoke clear then noticed Rimuri was nowhere to be found. All they saw was pieces of goo falling on the ground.

Yaseo smirked. "She's dead."

Nene nodded and her sniper disappeared. "Unit N311E to HQ. Target has been eliminated."

"Good, return back to HQ for a check up." The woman said.

I sat at home and watched the news in devastation. "Rimuri..."

Orimi hurried through the door and panted. "Big Brother! Did you see the news?!"

I turned off the TV and stood up. "She saved my life...and they couldn't even acknowledge that and still killed her.."

Orimi looked at me with a sad expression on her face then closed the door. "Big Brother...At least you're safe. She sacrificed herself to save you.."

"Yeah..." I said then slowly trailed to my room.

Orimi watched me and felt discouraged. She nodded to herself and looked determined. She hurried to her room as she was planning something.

The night fell and I sat in the kitchen looking at all the posts on social media about the big win for the MHF. I set down my fork and felt sick.

{We can finally have our normal lives back!}

{Hurrah! Earth is saved!}

{We can finally freely travel without the worry of if we are safe!}

"None of you understand..." I said.

~Flashbacks~

"I just want to be left alone. I don't even know how I'm on this planet or what planet this is! I didn't mean to cause those Collosal Bursts!"

"I didn't ask for this!"

"Go home...I don't want you getting hurt..~ Soon...I will return home and we can watch Humans on TV together and take another bath together!"

~End of Flashbacks~

"I barely knew her...and yet...both days she saved my ass and I couldn't even do a thing for her. She never wanted this. She was scared like we were. They didn't even care.." I said then stood up.

Orimi walked into the kitchen. "Big Brother."

I looked at Orimi and my eyes widened. I stared at her as she was dressed similar to Rimuri. "Orimi, why.."

"You were sad for hours, I thought this might cheer you up a little..? I even spent time to make a blob like hers but in the style of a plushie.." Orimi sweetly at me.

I smiled a bit and walked toward her then rubbed her hair. "You didn't have to do that..~"

"Although she didn't trust me completely, I still thank her for saving you...it isn't fair that she was killed like that..." Orimi said.

"Yeah..." I said then looked away. "It isn't fair huh.."

The next day, Orimi and I walked to school together. I was still down about the news, but Orimi helped me cheer up just by talking to me to get my mind off it. As we walked we heard an explosion. We looked backwards and noticed buildings getting destroyed by a Collosal Burst.

I grabbed Orimi and ran to take cover. She screamed and held onto me tightly. The high winds blew and my phone beeped.

{Warning! Warning! A Level ??? Threat has appeared in Fujitori! Retreat to ONLY shelters! Your homes are not safe! I repeat retreat to ONLY shelters! Your homes are not safe!}

The high winds ended and I peeked around the corner. I noticed someone floating in the air. I pulled up my camera on my phone and zoomed it as much as it could and pointed it at the person.

My eyes widened as I noticed who it was. "Rimuri..?!"

"Wh-What?! I thought she died!" Orimi said in shock.

"She looks different though.." I said.

Rimuri's hair became black, her eyes shined a blood red and her face was full of vengeance. She wore a black and red battle dress, she carried a black sword in her hand that emitted strange energy. Red lightning crackled around her body.

Realization hit me when I realized what Rimuri had become.

~Flashback~

"I do have an Inverse...well not an Inverse but an Alternate Form. It's call the Abyssal Black Monster. I've only used that form once, but I have no idea how it works...it's been so long since I last used it."

~End of Flashback~

"Is that her Alternate Form..?" I asked then groaned as a cutting wave rushed past us.

Rimuri growled and her blobs turned black then the large blob manipulated its body to turn into a dragon. "Abysgon! Destroy everything! Make the humans feel my pain!"

The black dragon roared and charged up an attack. I peeked around the corner and grunted. I looked back at Orimi who was scared beyond imagination.

"I need to stop her..!" I said then looked at Orimi. "Orimi! There's a shelter down this alley! Go!"

Orimi looked at me and looked scared. Her legs were shaking. "B-But.."

"Don't worry...I have to be the one to save her now. So go! Run and don't stop until you've reached the shelter!" I yelled.

Orimi had tears running down her face then she ran off to the shelter.

I ran out and ran toward Rimuri. 'This is really stupid to me. Why am I doing this?! I'm still human dammit!'

Abysgon was about to unleash the attack, but was interrupted by MHF Units shooting energy bullets at them. Rimuri bellowed and slashed horizontally, releasing a purple cutting wave at the units. They groaned as they were hit then explosions happened in the sky.

"Commander Yaseo!" Nene said as she flew toward the scene.

"On it!" Yaseo bellowed and unsheathed his energy great sword then flew toward Abysgon and Rimuri. "I thought we got rid of you!"

"Think again!" Rimuri roared and pointed at Yaseo. "Blast him away! Void Cannon!"

Abysgon roared and released a powerful beam of dark purple energy at Yaseo. Yaseo grunted as his energy shield wasn't enough to block the attack. Mae swooped toward Abysgon and fired multiple bullets at the dragon. The bullets barely scratched his scales.

I watched the scene as I ran and grunted then began to speed up. "Rimuri!" I yelled.

Rimuri roared and slashed wildly, causing cutting waves to fly everywhere. Yaseo, Nene, and Mae dodged each attack wave then flew toward Abysgon once again.

"Abysgon! Void World!" Rimuri bellowed.

Abysgon roared loudly and a void opened in the sky then a dome of Abyss Energy formed around the entirety of the city. Everything became Negative. Time was negative, Kinetics was nevative, even the physical reality became Negative.

I was frozen in place. All I could see was Rimuri preparing her final attack to end humanity in Fujitori out of pure rage.

'I can't let this happen!' I thought to myself. 'Move! Come on! MOVE YOUR ASS YOSHIDA!'

My heart thumped then slight energy surrounded my heart and I began to resist the effects of the Void World. I began to move little by little. My heart began beating harder and faster. I grunted and watched Rimuri then yelled and broke out of the effects of the Void World.

Rimuri noticed me running and looked surprised then stopped her attack. "Yoshida!"

"Rimuri!" I yelled.

The Void World disappeared and Rimuri jumped off Abysgon then hurried over to me. Yaseo, Nene, and Mae noticed Rimuri was gone. They looked around and noticed her running toward me.

"Shoot her!" Yaseo bellowed.

Mae took aim at her with her sniper and pulled the trigger. I noticed the bullet and pushed Rimuri down, making her dodge the bullet then the bullet went straight through my skull. Everyone looked surprised and watched me drop to the ground.

Rimuri's eyes widened as she looked at me. She crawled over to me and held my body in her hands. "Yoshida! Yoshida! Wake up! Yoshida wake up!"

Mae dropped her weapon and her eyes widened. "N-No..."

"What happened?! How was Yoshida the one who was shot?!" The woman asked in their earpiece.

"Yoshida!" Rimuri screamed then her aura surged powerfully around her body.

Orimi panted as she made it inside of a shelter. She sniffled and wiped her eyes then noticed Fujin and Chiziwa. She ran toward them.

"Orimi!" Fujin yelled and hurried to her. "Where's Yoshida?"

"He's...he's still out there!" Orimi cried.

"What?! Yoshida is still out there?!" Chiziwa asked in shock.

"He said...he wanted to stop her. He told me to run and I ran and ran! I don't know what's going to happen to him!" Orimi cried.

Fujin and Chiziwa looked at each other then looked back at Orimi and brought her over to a bench so they could comfort her.

Rimuri laid down my body on the ground and her hair covered her eyes. "He only wanted to protect me...despite not knowing me or my true nature. He died saving me...I won't let your death go in vain, Yoshida.."

"I'm getting crazy fucking readings! Her power level just skyrocketed! Her Monster Aura is off the charts! At this rate a singular Collosal Burst will destroy the entirety of Japan! You need to retreat!" The woman yelled.

Yaseo and Nene flew off. Mae couldn't move as she stared at my dead body. Her body trembled as she felt the destructive energy of Rimuri.

Rimuri soared to the sky and summoned a massive void. "I'll kill all of you! He was the one human who gave me the time of day! You took him away!"

The void began to absorb the Life-Force of the cherry blossom trees and birds that flew around. The weak MHF members also had their Life-Force absorbed as well then fell to the ground dead.

"Die! Final Abyss!" Rimuri bellowed and fired a massive beam of Abyss Energy at Mae.

A woman swooped down and grabbed Mae, getting her out the way in time then watched the beam. The beam struck a building in the distance and a massive explosion happened, taking out that entire residential area.

"C-Commander Ochiyo.." Mae said and looked at her as if she's seen a ghost.

Ochiyo looked at Rimuri and grunted. "We can't defeat her...Yoshida's sacrifice was the final straw...how could she feel so much emotion for someone she just met.."

Ochiyo looked at me then rose an eyebrow as she watched me. She noticed a small orange flame on my chest.

I gasped for air then sat up quickly and held my forehead. "Fuck! That hurts!"

Ochiyo grunted softly then flew away with Mae in her arms. "We need to leave."

"Not so fast!" Rimuri roared and summoned a void, causing Ochiyo to fly in then another void opened and Ochiyo was finally met face to face with Rimuri.

I looked up and noticed Rimuri. I grunted and stood up. "Rimuri!"

Rimuri and Mae heard my voice and they both looked at me surprised.

"Yoshida! You're alive!" She said and flew toward me. She hugged me and I held her.

"What the hell is that void?! Rimuri! The thing is turning into a black hole! We will all die if it isn't stopped!" I said and pointed at the massive red void.

"I don't know how to stop it! I'm sorry! I raged out when you were shot!" Rimuri said in a panicked way.

'If I don't think of a way to calm her down quickly...All of Japan is gone.' I thought to myself.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Rimuri cried out.

"Rimuri! You want to stay on this Earth right?" I asked.

"With you? Yes! You're the only human to be nice to me within the two days we've known each other!" Rimuri said.

"Then be with me forever." I said then pulled her closer to me then kissed her.

Rimuri looked surprised and her face became red. Her body shined white then the white glow shattered into energy particles. Her hair became white again, her eyes shined blue, and her battle dress disappeared and her usual white dress reappeared on her body.

Abysgon roared then slowly dispersed into black energy particles. The giant abyss that was summoned began to shrink and shrink until it disappeared. Ochiyo looked at her phone and noticed all energy levels were back to being regulated and normal.

I pulled away from the kiss and cleared my throat. "Sorry...that was the only way I knew how to calm you down."

"What...what did you do to my face..? What was that, Yoshida?!" Rimuri asked wanting to know what a kiss was.

"It was a kiss. I probably should've asked be- mmph!" I started then was interrupted by a kiss from Rimuri, this time it begin a genuine kiss.

She pulled away and rested her forehead against my shoulder. "Thank you..."

Ochiyo watched, awestruck from what just transpired. "He tamed her...He actually calmed her down.."

Mae watched with disbelief. Not only did she see me die with her own eyes, she saw me alive once again and I tamed Rimuri. Yaseo and Nene watched from the sky and Yaseo grunted softly.

"Who really is that kid..?" Yaseo asked.

"I don't know, but we can just say it was a miracle he even survived that bullet." Nene said.

"Let's go home, Yoshida..~" Rimuri smiled and summoned a void and walked through it with me then the void closed.

"Whoever that kid is...he is not normal. I'm going to figure it out. If he turns out to be a monster...I will kill him." Yaseo said then flew off to HQ.

Nene grunted softly. She didn't agree with Yaseo but just stayed silent and went back to HQ as well.

School was cancelled for an entire month due to Fujitori's destruction which means I had to find something to do for a month while Fujitori was being worked on.

With Rimuri calmed down, her Monster Aura couldn't be tracked at all. She was free to roam about. She does have a human disguise which was the same appeared but with human skin.

Orimi was brought home by Fujin and she ran toward me and tackled me into a hug. I hugged her back and listened to her cries and comforted her. Fujin watched and smiled.

Fujitori didn't have a happy ending, but due to Ochiyo's warning...we didn't suffer many lost lives other than those unfortunate enough to be caught by the burst, but the workers agreed to put better defenses in Fujitori.

All there was left to do, was plan what we were supposed to do for the month with no school.
