Chapter 1

"I think that's enough fish for us today! We can't go grabbing them just like that. Let them multiply atleast!"

Honeymaren shook her head as Ryder effortlessly caught the last fish as his prey using their pointed staff. He chuckled and took it before putting inside the basket. Turning around, he proudly carry his own basket as he made his way to Honeymaren.

"You need to calm down, the forest is a blessing just like all of these!" He grinned while gesturing all those fishes he just caught, "Besides, we need to prepare plenty of foods! This is a celebration especially with Elsa living with us now!" Ryder laughed, he seemed to be genuinely happy like a little kid as he grabbed Honeymaren's hand, tugging her excitedly, "So come on! Help me do the cooking!"

Honeymaren finally let out a small giggle while covering her face, "I can't I'm going to look for some berries first!"

Watching from the distance, Elsa felt her lips curved into smile, she watched as Ryder and Honeymaren tugging at each other's hand, arguing whether what should be done first.

A small tug on her dress made her look away, Elsa glanced around and found herself looking down at the small kids, giggling as they look up at her.

"Do the magic! Do the magic!"

They all clapped their hands excitedly and Elsa grinned before kneeling down in front of them. Before she could do the trick, Bruni came out of nowhere and landed on Elsa's shoulder.

The fifth spirit glanced at the little salamander before flicking her wrist over and over again as magic of snow came out of them. The little kids of the Northuldra tribe couldn't help but to enjoy and giggling around as they were amazed by Elsa's powers.

Elsa on the other hand, she was far enjoying it as well. Since she started residing in the Enchanted forest, Elsa's smile never faltered. But it doesn't mean she didn't miss her first home. Arendelle, she missed it even the people there most especially, Anna.

Even though she was living far from her, they were occasionally writing letters, thanks to Gale the wind spirit for delivering it fast enough.

But nevertheless, she was happy now even if they both have different obligations and responsibilities, they can do both of it because that's what they called for. The two sisters have finally found their purpose and their calling.

Small grunts accompanied by giggles made Elsa snap out of her thoughts. She almost covered her mouth to stifle a laugh seeing the Northuldra kids ended up falling on the snowy ground.

"Alright that is enough kids."

Yelena's voice spoke.

Elsa stood up and waved her fingers as the children started to runaway from her, laughing as Yelena pretend to catch them.

"I'll never get tired of them." The fifth spirit said and Bruni looked at Elsa while licking his face.

Yelena smiled while admiring Elsa. She took a deep breath while placing a hand on her shoulder, they both made their way to join the other Northuldras.

"We're glad to have you here. Taking care of this forest while protecting it is a big responsibility. Still, we feel like we need to say thank you a thousand times from freeing us." Yelena said just in time they reached the tribe.

Elsa glanced around, a swell of pride was burning inside her. She was happy, truly happy this time. Her hand touched Yelena's arm with a small squeeze.

"You don't have to anymore. Since it's my grand father's fault anyway, we owe this freedom to all of you." She said. Remembering what her grand father did made her feel uneasy. She still couldn't believe how awful it was.

Yelena nodded her head with a sigh and glanced around.

Everyone was enjoying the freedom they have right now. Some are even admiring the sky, it will take a lot of time before they can get used to it. The clear sky was enough to remind them how truly free they are.

"I still think you need protection Elsa." Yelena said out of nowhere as her eyes were trained on Ryder, cooking some of the fishes he caught earlier.

Hearing this, Elsa slowly turned her head to look at Yelena, tearing her eyes away from Honeymaren as she began preparing some wooden tables for them.

"Don't worry about me. I can take care of myself, I have my own powers. Besides the magical spirits of the Enchanted forest are making sure that I am safe." She said and sighed before turning her eyes back to the tribe, "So far I think I don't need it, I sense no threat, we're free and happy. And if there's danger I make sure to keep everyone safe while using my powers." Elsa finished as she turned to face Yelena.

"You are right, the magical spirits are on your side, protecting you. But they also need protection Elsa, and you are what they need. If you look on the other side, you're somewhat, prone to danger as well." Yelena thought about it for a moment before continuing, "If you're in danger who's going to protect them? The forest and the magical spirits? I'm afraid we're not strong enough to protect you, we're a small tribe." She said, "Who knows what secrets this Enchanted forest is keeping from us? What creatures are living with us...are they good or bad?"

"So are you saying there's a possibility that I might be in danger? Even the Northuldra tribe? Everyone?" She said and Elsa looked down to her hands, "But we are just celebrating our freedom and happiness....trouble and danger are too early for that...." She muttered under her breath.

But in the back of her mind, she knew what Yelena was saying was true. Danger was not exceptional, it could be anywhere. If Elsa does need protection, where she can find one? Who's going to do serve her and be her companion for the rest of its life?

"I have a suggestion." Yelena's voice snapped her out of her thoughts, "I know you're thinking where you can find someone or something that will protect you." She faced Elsa with her hands behind her back, "Just like what I've said, we're living in this Enchanted forest, I can guarantee you that you can find one but it is a challenge. It's always has a challenge."

Before Elsa could ask further about it, Honeymaren called them out.

Elsa blinked her eyes, thinking deeply about their conversation. Yelena started to walk away as she glanced over her shoulder to look at the fifth spirit.

"I'm going to tell you more about it in a private place if you're interested, but for now I'm statrving." She smiled.

Elsa nodded her head and found herself following Yelena and the rest of the tribe. They all began celebrating with their new-found freedom, some even dance while the magical spirits joined them.

But deep down even if she was enjoying it, Elsa's mind drifted back to what Yelena told her.

She then glanced at the forest and wondered, what does this forest is keeping from them? What kind of Enchanted forest is this?

And from that she knew she will find out, soon enough she will discover its secrets.
