53 President Chen

After signing the contract, the Chen's representative invited Yan Shu and her group for a dinner with president Chen sometime in the future.

They all agreed, trying not to look too shocked at that. A meeting with president Chen was too unexpected. 

Chen Mu Sheng was still in his early twenties, but he already commanded one of the largest companies in the country. Known as the picture of ruthlessness, he was said to focus completely on his business, not caring for earthly pleasures.

So why would someone like him invite them? He never socialized with other people.

Trying not to linger on it, they left the room and found Mu Feiran waiting for them.

Unable to contain herself, she hugged Yan Shu tight. To have so many representatives fighting over a project, that was a first in Fengshan's history. She even invited their group for lunch at the canteen.

The other board members also came to congratulate them, and also to inform them that there would be an announcement about it on the college forum.

Elated, but also exhausted, the students headed to the canteen where they had lunch with their teacher. Fortunately, it wasn't for nothing as they were later told that they could have the rest of the day off.

Arriving back home, Yan Shu got a message from Chen Mu Sheng's secretary. He wanted to set the dinner for next Monday evening. She agreed. After that, she sent a message to inform the Crazy Batch about the dinner, and everyone else soon began to talk about it.

Too tired to follow along, she decided to go to bed.

On the other side of the country, Chen Mu Sheng stared at the bustling city from his office on the last floor of the building.

"President Chen," Tang Feng, his personal secretary, spoke. "Ms. Lu and her friends agreed to the Monday dinner."

"Good. Before you go, I need you to look into that Yan Shu for me. For some reason, I can't find anything about her further than two years ago. It's like she appeared from thin air."

"Certainly. If I may suggest, we should start by asking Mr. Go. He visited Fengshan as our representative, and he heard that she was an orphan."

Chen Mu Sheng nodded. "Okay, call him up."

A couple of minutes later, there was a knock on the door.

Chen Mu Sheng didn't look up from his files. "Come in," he spoke, prompting Mr. Go to walk into the office.

Go Jichen was the head of project management. He and Chen Mu Sheng could be considered friends. Being an avid gamer, he felt really impressed by the Game of Legends which was different from anything he had seen, so he personally went to the meeting as the Chen's representative.

But little did he expect that the person who designed it would be Yan Shu, the person that Chen Mu Sheng had spent years looking for. So without thinking twice, he immediately informed Tang Feng about it.

Now, being called to Chen Mu Sheng's office, he skipped the greeting and said everything he had heard and saw about Yan Shu. Go Jichen knew his boss well enough to know that he always preferred to go straight to business.

"How did she become an orphan?" Chen Mu Sheng asked as soon as Go Jichen ended his report. "I couldn't find anything about it. Also, she was registered as an orphan on the Saren orphanage. That orphanage is a property of the San Groups." He thought about it for a couple of seconds. "I told Tang Feng to look into her, and I want you to work with him." He focused back on his files.

Go Jichen took as his cue to leave, so he gave a quick nod and left.
