Empress' Evolution

The bright red light of the flames swallowed her vision but soon that red light transformed into a blue hue and she was dragged into that light. ‘What’s happening?’ It was too bright and she was forced to close her eyes, she was blinded — even though she was already dead. After being pulled into the light she began to feel annoyed as her skin was irritated by some kind of rough sand. By the time she opened her eyes. She could see the full view of the sky. It was blue and there were clouds scattered about. ‘Ugh, is this Hell?’ She stated as she rubbed her head with her fluffy and furry ‘hand’. ‘Furry?’ She looked at her ‘hands’ and her mouth opened wide. Her hands had become soft and fluffy paws of a white-furred beast with purple spots. ‘What the hell?’ She touched her face with her paws and confirmed that it too did not belong to a human. Below, she felt something was moving, she can tell as if it was another limb connected to her. ‘Don’t tell me!’ Turning her head around, she found a seven-inch tail sticking out behind. ‘Phew!’ She felt relieved that it wasn’t what she thought it was. “These soft and paws, this cuddly fluffy hair, this cute tail — ah shit, did I become a beast after my death or have I been dreaming of being human as a beast all this time? If it is the latter that is one long and realistic dream.” === [It’s the former, stupid bitch.] === Said a woman’s voice from in her head. === As always thank you for reading, also the image in the cover is not mine, I found it on Pinterest and thought it was cool and suitable. All credits got to the illustrator. Also, this is a new type of story that I have not read about yet. Basically I am writing an evolution novel without prior knowledge so I don't really know what is considered cliche in this genre. I will be posting this story on RoyalRoad.com

Hero III

Mirsha was born from an impoverished family. They were always hungry in the slums, but she was capable of smiling because of her family.

Her parents would feed her more, holding off on eating even if they go hungry. Of course, Mirsha gave them her own share, not wanting them to go hungry. If they were going to starve, then she too would join them. Always, she saw her parents as loving, and on her seventh birthday, the reason for their love was discovered after she was sold off.

The truth was that she was nothing but cattle to be fattened, that would be sold when the time was right. Mirsha did not stop smiling; she kept her light, not wanting to wallow in despair... but still... she cried.

When Mirsha escaped the White Room with Will, they decided to have a family… where they would be able to support one another.

But that dream was coming to an end as Mirsha faced the man with who she swore her life.

Dhampy could see everything being thrown at her. The move set of the Wendigo was indeed quick and deadly, it moved according to its instincts, but it was still a formidable being. However, against someone like her, the Wendigo looked nothing more than a child indiscriminately waving its hands around.

But with every strike it did, the Wendigo becomes quicker.

Its movement becoming sharper and its ferocity greater.

The Wendigo roared and sent out a flurry of strikes to Dhampy's direction. Its every strike sending out frost to her direction, freezing her limbs, making her slower with every exchange.

'It's acclimating to its body...' Dhampy could see the end of this fight... and she witnessed that at the end of it, she was not the one laughing.

Dhampy deflected its strikes, and Mirsha, with a heavy heart, unleashed black fire from her palms… she was just about to let the flames go… but, she hesitated.

Mirsha bit her lips, seeing the visage of her beloved, twisted, beyond he who truly is… she knew that he was already beyond saving, that his mind had already been taken over by the darkness that he always had, yet, she failed to attack the Wendigo.

"WILL! Wake UP! THE APES ARE GONE! PLEASE!!!"

Mirsha called out, hoping for a miracle to happen, but the only response she received was its rage.

CLASH!

Dhampy stopped the Wendigo's claws from reaching Mirsha.

"It's already becoming stronger, don't add to the danger. I know he's your husband, but not anymore."

"But… he might still be there! I might still be able to call him out!"

"No one can control the Black Spirits."

"Then… what about you? How are you still sane after being monsterized."

Dhampy looked at Mirsha and shook her head, "It's impossible to save him. Back at the Island of Beast, I was lucky enough to have the right replacement for the Catalyst. But right now… we have nothing of the sort… so, we can only kill him and put him off his misery. If we don't, everyone here… including your daughter, will die."

Mirsha looked back and saw the group of humans huddled together behind her. Mirsha and Lucia exchanged looks and nodded her head before finally steeling her resolve, "I understand... give me an opening, and I'll be sure to deliver a powerful spell."

"Make sure to follow through."

Swoosh!

Dhampy moved once again, and into the battlefield, she went. Her sword moved, and drawing the power of her own blood, Dhampy hastened her movements to compensate.

Dhampy threw her sword up with a burst of strength. The Wendigo parried it, but that gave Dhampy to cross the distance and got below the Wendigo.

BAM!

She struck the Wendigo's chin with her palms. The beast's legs left the ground, "Mirsha, now!"

'So this is the fabled 006? She's become better than the last time I saw her in the White Room… no… she's more skilled now than the last time I saw her.'

Mirsha clapped her hands and called upon the flames of the world.

Black flames manifested around her and then took the form of hounds, "Blasting Hounds."

Two hounds went and darted forward, wanting to tear the bastard apart in an explosion.

The Wendigo was in mid-air; it would not be able to escape. But right before the Hounds could bury their teeth on its flesh, the Wendigo executed a maneuver mid-air.

It twisted its body and then kicked one of the hounds away, then stomped on the other one's head...

'Did it just... copy me?' Dhampy was in disbelief.

DUKCHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

The Wendigo's screeched beckoned the darkness and the wind to whirl. The frost wailed, and the surrounding started to be filled with ice.

'It's trying to use the enclosed structure to its advantage.' Dhampy made her move against the beast before anything could be. The structure of the building was not to her advantage; thus, she made her move.

Blood Manipulation

She activated her skill; the blood from the fallen humans gathered and formed a curtain surrounding the Wendigo. The Wendigo howled in defiance, freezing the blood and smashing the sheet of blood. It smirked, knowing it stopped Dhampy's skill.

CRASH!

The Wendigo saw Dhampy behind the curtain, running away. Its blue eyes raged and intended to come for her.

"Cover me."

"Yes."

Mirsha got in between the two. Black fire flew up like a curtain, and ten black fireballs appeared around Mirsha before shooting off to the Wendigo.

FWU!

"Black Lord's Cloak —"

[Black Lord's Cloak — Blood Invocation [activated] —]

"Mirsha, go back."

Dhampy's voice echoed and from behind.

Dhampy appeared in front of the Wendigo, her speed multiple times that of what she earlier showed. On her hands, there were chains, and as her hands slipped through the Wendigo's defenses, Dhampy drew her fist back.

"Penta Art — Earth Fist — Hardened Force."

BOOM!

The Wendigo's body was blown back and out of the Hangar.

DUKCHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!

The Wendigo roared from where it got blasted out of a woman with flowing blood hair and cloak walked out. On the woman's arms were chains made of blood wrapped around her arm.

[Blood Lord's Cloak — the Lord's Cloak's second form. You will be invincible as long as blood flows on the battlefield.]

"[Executioner Form] — let's finish this."

Lord's Cloak is very powerful but is Class (Species Oriented)
