259 At Crossroads

"Ugh!"

A smoldering Chief was pulled from the heart of the churning flames. 

"Good work, Chief." 

He turned his head as he heard a young girl's voice. It could only have been Lilith whose image was now more holy than ever.

"Priestess?"

"Take care of our people. Leave the rest to me."

With a wave of her hand a gust of wind swept Chief. But it was not just him but the others as well. The other daemons and the remaining humans were all swept to the 

"Chief, that was amazing…what is happening!? Where have you been hiding your strength? I didn't know you were so strong!" Red ran towards Chief in search of an answer. 

An answer he could not give.
