Chapter 17 - Edah part 3

"Hurry is very cold." Said the voice coming from the hole.

Even though they were in the forest there was nothing around, there was only silence which was even creepier than monsters hollering.

"So...?" Yanos said glancing over the hole. 

"We can't do much as long we don't know if Edah is trapped down there with that thing, there isn't much we can do right?" Tobyah wondered "if we can attract it out of the hole we could actually see what we are dealing with." 

" So..?? Once again I don't think we coming up with the solution here" Said Yanos said impatient. 

"So..what about we throw rocks..." Everyone frowned at Tobyah. 

"Throw ....rocks .... That's your idea?" Grabbed Yonas Tobyah by the collar.

"From what I understand monsters have a different perception from humans right...? It will may not know the difference between and attack or rocks falling down. " 

"And how is that supposed to bring it out of the hole?" Asked Yanos already breaking their whisper volume.

"Why are you taking so long, I am cold."

"I wanna stab that thing" Yanos clutched his sword tighter. 

"Calm down ." Rahul grabbed Yanos's hand. " Let's try the kid plan first. The worst that can happen is nothing."

Alana collected a few stones and looked up as she walk over to a tree. Rahul asked what was she doing. She pointed up. She planned to climb up so if the thing came out she could see and shoot it.

He nodded in understanding.

"Edah, we going to take you out, you have to be a brave girl put your arms up so we can reach you." 

No reply came out of the hole. Alana threw the first rock, nothing happened again, they all threw a rock.

"Uncle, help me out, things keep falling on me, come down and help me out." Yanos was again ticked by the monsters demanding speech. 

"Seems like your plan didn't work" whispered Yanos agressively.

In the tree Alana was feeling uneasy like they were missing something basic, while they were fussing with eachother down there, her heart pounded so loud, she looked around trying feel her sorroundings. Her instincts to told her to look back, she slowly turned around. 

What she saw almost made her fall down. 

It was Edah, she was right there, hanging from tree branch, her once rose cheeks were bluish, Alana reached with her hand , Edah's skin was so cold. Her heart was silent, everything around her was silent she could hear nothing, not even the leaves that danced with the small cold breeze. Her face darkened as she reached for Edah and pulled her over to embrace her. She threw down the other rocks in her hand. 

Her small cold face reaching Alana's chest, made her let out painful loud cry.

Everyone looked up as they trying to make out what happened to make Alana cry. They walked a little closer and saw a little hand fall over on the side of Alana. 

Their eyes were filled with anger and pain.

" COME OUT YOU MONSTER" Yanos's twisted face was red, purple in anger he no longer cared about anything. 

Alana lost conscience due to the shock her, body still holding little Edah fell down the tree.

Rahul saw it happen, but his legs weren't fast enough to reach both of them. Before she touched the ground, Alana's eyes opened up, her eyes were glowing red. 'hmm ' she feels something over her body and embraces in a instinct and turned over falling on her feet. 

Rahul was speechless. But there was no time to process anything, since the monster was starting to crawl out. It stretched one of its members in direction of Rahul that was focused on Alana. Yanos quickly stroked it.

"Me and you first, Bastard!!" Yanos angrily shout at it and chopped the member that was out of the hole.

'I don't know... I want to sleep ...it's cold... I don't understand what is happening, and who is this little person. But your heart seems to hurt alot, you are burning in anger, Alana. ' Tera had woken up out of Alana loss of consciousness. 

'him? No. Him? Also No.' Tera was acessing the situation around. 

Because it was being attacked the monster crawled out of the hole completely. 

It was weirdly shaped and huge. It looked a morphed being with other beings. Had legs arms all about, it's face resembled a human with hair. The mouth was huge and it's tongue was hanging out, it's body was like it was naked. 

"Uncle you didn't came to help me" it said with Edah's sweet voice. 

"Disgusting" spat Yanos. He was ready in position to cut that thing into pieces. "Tobyah do you know what this thing is?"

" .... I... We have no chance." Is face darkened.

" What hell are you spewing." 

"Its a Megera, there's no way to defeat it." 

"What??" Yelled Yanos, frozen in place.

"There's no records of anyone encountering and coming out alive."

"Calm down Tobyah, if there's a name, there's surely survivers." 

"I don't ..." Before he could finish it started attacking. Everyone was dodging its attacks, Rahul was having dificulties, but was still dodging it. 

Tera had layed Edah's on the cold ground, and stood there looking without moving, somehow the attacks never reached her. 

'So that thing is what's making your inner... boil.' Tera remained unfased with the monster moves and attacks.

"I am cold uncle, I am hung.." said it with Edah's voice. Tera fehlt anger rise through her body and ran towards it and pull the thing tongue's out with her hands. Everyone was surprised. She jumped right back again throwing the tongue to the floor. 

'I need something to cut, this girl still uses her bow. Useless. ' Tera moved her gaze to Eustace who had a sword but was not using.

"Hey boy" said Tera rudly to Eustace. " I need your sword, can you watch the little one" 

Eustace without thinking got up from where he had fallen, and handed the sword to Alana/Tera. He quickly started to check on Edah. 

'Now I can cut it, this sword is very light I may need to cut more times quickly. 

Good! It doesn't seem to regenerate.'

"Hey you" said Tera rudly to Yanos. "I am going to cut it to pieces block it's attacks in case it goes beserk." 

Yanos was speechless with change in posture and speech from the lady, the thought of her being another monster did cross his mind, but she was fighting on their side.

Rahul was assisting with defence aswell as Yanos.

Eustace was focused on Edah and Tobyah couldn't take his eyes out of Megera, he was drawing it as fast as he could without taking his eyes of it.

"Hey you , monster expert, there is a way to defeat Megeras." Tera said jumping to the monster head and stabbing her sword through the head, many times in quick montion. Her face was getting dirty with black blood from the monster. She was grunting with each stab. "There... You can kill a Megera by reaching into its core and destroyed." She pulled out Megeras insides, and kept stabbing.

Megeras cries could be heard all over, she could no longer Mimic Edah's voice.

A growling voice came out of Megera ."Uncle help!"

At last Tera put her sword through its core. 

Megera shriek echoed through the forest. As Tera stood over its body, that gushed it's blood and insides out. 

Tera walked slowly dropping the sword. " How is she?" 

Eustace was trembling, is voice was cracking. "She is cold she will freeze to death. Her breathing is already very weak." He almost choked in his words. 

'I'm sorry, I know you wanted to keep me hiden from them, but it's the only way to save her.'
