Pretty / Update

It's been at least a month from when I was first sent here. It actually hasn't been the worst time ever. It seems so real. If I pinch myself, it hurts. My stomach healed up fine even though it left a scar. Everyone- well almost everyone- would help me in the town as I was viewed as important. Sadly, my fame has faded once more and I go unnoticed. From what I understand, I technically let the slime "be free" and "let it go". I just wanted to save the kid and look what happened, I got sliced in half! I don't want to hear them complaining when I don't save someone. But I did take a break from my wings as I didn't want to take a good fall again.

I actually don't want to leave this reality, I can do whatever I want basically. And don't get me starting on all the animals! Yesterday, I was exploring the fields and there was this fox-like-creature. It was an orange fox but had these wonderful horns and wings. It was very friendly and came right up to me. It even followed me home and got to keep it. I named it Fiona and I couldn't get my hands off her soft, layered fur.

Other than that, I did learn a lot in the past month. Low level magic is common. But the higher the level, the less people that could learn it. My parents both had a little bit of earth magic, while my brother had some wind magic. And the people here seem so.. real. It's almost like they are actual humans. But it might be an issue if I can't tell an NPC from another person.

Either way, today I'm supposed to go to this awakening ceremony tomorrow. It's supposed to show you what type of magic you have. I technically already know mine. But my magical abilities are grayed out and I can't use any of it until after the ceremony, sadly.

I woke up to loud chatter, my new fox friend, Fiona, howling, and my family running down the stairs. What a nice way to start the day. I spring out of bed, grab Fiona, and slide myself down the railing. By the time I get there, no one is in the house and the door is wide open. I carefully peak outside to see crowds of people making their way to the town square.

Muttering is everywhere. As I push through the crowd, all around me, I felt like I couldn't escape the muttering. Then, I saw her. She was surrounded in this golden dome that pushed outwards. I walk inside of it and I feel almost.. comforted. It was almost like an angel.. no, she was the angel. The only words I could bring myself to say was one word, 'Pretty..'.

She, and the other kids that were up there, came down and I was pushed forward. I guess it was my turn? Should I have read something beforehand or did I miss the instructions because all they told me was to focus. Would have been nice to tell me what to focus on. So I just sat down and cleared my mind, like I was mediating.
