Beginning Of Training.

After getting my smart wallet, I was wandering around the black market. I needed to grow stronger.

'I have experience in fighting and killing humans but I don't have any experience in fighting monsters.'

Sam was the best assassin I'm his previous life with enough power and preparation he could kill any human but he never fought any kind of monster. Since this world is full of dungeons and monsters, to grow stronger he needs to have experience in monster fighting.

'Two months are remaining for the entrance exam so I need to start training fast."

'Should I spend the next two months fighting wild monsters outside the city?"

A question came to my mind. It was a risky idea but I needed to take risks to grow stronger. Strength is necessary to survive in this world.

'High risks, High return.'

I guess I will do it.

I made up my mind that I would spend my next two months fighting monsters and ranking up.

'I need to prepare for it. So my plans for the next two months are gaining experience and ranking up to E rank.'

"Let's do it."

I had my plans ready now it is time for equipment.

After some time I got my money.

1.5 million L. It is quite a lot but with this, I will be able to spend it on a lot of resources.

I visited many stalls and brought the necessary items.

Now it is time to go outside of Neotropolis. I got out of the black market and got on the hovering train to go to the last station that was at the outer edge of Neotropolis.

In front of me is a very large forest. Full of trees and nothing can be seen through them.

I started to go into the forest. Slowly leaving the last few touches of human life I went in.

Sam went into the forest and took out his long sword that he bought from the black market.

A black steel long sword with a medium crossguard.

I chose a longsword as a weapon despite being a mage and support.

When I fought the demonic cult I found out I don't need to be a necessary class to use its weapon.

From what I know everyone is assigned a class when they awaken and every class has its pros and cons. So everyone focuses on their class and uses whatever is suitable for it.

No mage or supporter uses a sword since their main firepower is magic and it takes a lot of time to master a weapon that is not designed for you.

Warriors and assassins use weapons mostly. Archers use a bow or crossbow.

I chose a longsword because I know how to use it a little and I know how to use daggers. So I can add my daggers experience with swords.

One is short and the other is big.

Pushing the thoughts at the back of my mind I slowly moved through the forest. I found some trees with trunks marked by giant claw marks indicating that a huge beast passed through this area.

'I guess, I don't have a choice....'

Looking around I found a mud puddle and started rolling in it. I intended to mask my scent. The beasts in this world went through an evolution with mana. So they are physically a lot stronger than my previous world as well as their other senses.

So even though it was uncomfortable, I did it.

After he was fully covered in mud Sam followed the claw marks, because where there are animals or monsters nearby there has to be some kind of water source nearby.

Sam was planning to spend two months in this jungle so he needed to know where the water source was, it would be extremely helpful.

While moving through the forest I could hear distant growls and roars.

Finally, after walking for twenty minutes, I saw a huge lake.

The lake had a big plain beach with no trees. I marked the lake because it will be useful.

After that, I started to walk towards a hill. Even though it wasn't visible I more or less knew its location.

I started climbing the hill. After some time I reached the top.

"What a sight"

A beautiful sight of the green forest was drawn into the man's brown eyes. No matter in which direction he looked he couldn't see any sign of civilization nearby, indicating that he was in the deep forest.

I can see that the sun will set in a few hours. I needed a shelter to spend my time here. From tomorrow I will train and hunt.

When I was climbing the hill I found a small cavern with enough space to live comfortably for the next two months.

Using the knowledge gained from my previous life I started to collect dry branches and dragged them into my temporary home. I started to fortify the cavern entrance.

I took off my dirty clothes and put on something comfortable.

"The sun is setting soon."

Seeing that the sunlight would soon disappear, I started to construct a campfire.

I used the dry branches and moss as a tender to create fire. I brought out the flint and steel.

Whoosh!

Finally, the tender caught on fire and soon Sam had successfully made himself a source of heat and light.

I brought out the food I had with me for this journey. I cooked it and started to eat it.

I brought out a sleeping bag from the storage ring that I brought from the black market along with many other things.

'I have been through worse than this.'

All the fatigue that I accumulated throughout the day caught up to me.

Which made me very sleepy.

I was in a safe position today.

Will I survive the night to see tomorrow?

I didn't know.

I needed to take this risk to get out of my comfort zone to get stronger.

'Do I need revenge?'

A question popped into my mind. Revenge is something that the previous Sam wanted against the bright family and his mother.

Do I need to take it?

"No. I will do it."

Even though the previous Sam hasn't done anything to me because he tried to kill himself I was able to come here. One way or another he gave me another chance. I will honor the contract I made with him.

If I want to destroy the bright family then I have to reach a stage where nothing can touch me. For this, the next few years will be crucial for me.

I need to lay a good foundation for it. I will start it at the academy.

I thought about my plans and slowly drifted towards sleep...
