"My mother Emma and father James both were awakeners."
"My mother, She was a fire mage. At the young age of twenty-one, she rose to B- rank which can be told is pretty rare. It indicates she was pretty talented."
In the human continent, The higher rank an awakener has, the more power that awakener can have in society. My mother was a B- rank at the age of twenty-one so she was quite popular.
During a dungeon raid, she met my father James Charon who she later fell in love with or that's what I thought.
"My father James was an B-rank warrior in his thirties. By coincidence, they started to raid dungeons together and during one of the dungeon raids somehow she got cornered by monsters but got saved by my father."
A typical hero is saving a beauty.
The old Sam said it looking at me.
"That's not the whole story. Is it?" I said.
"Nope."
"I learned my mother's true nature after a long time gone by"
The old Sam said and continued.
"After my father saved her she started to follow him. As she fell in love with him. After some time my father also fell in love with her because she was beautiful and talented"
"They started to dating, but right after they started dating my mother Emma being a fire mage, her reputation started to grow and many suitors from the high-class family came to her with a proposal to take her into their family"
"Seeing this, my father became somewhat jealous and asked my mother to marry him."
My mother agreed to marry my father without any objections.
"After that, both of my parents left their raid team and moved to a sub-city of Quantumburgh. Where they decided to get married."
"One year after their marriage they had me, their only child Sam Charon."
"They both cherished me as their only child and they were determined to nurture me to be a good person"
"They vowed to protect me with their life"
"Our tiny family was complete and perfect."
"But"
"All of this happiness was short-lived. As the days turned into years, the threads that bound our family together began to fray. The laughter that once filled our family was echoed with hollow tones, and the warmth that surrounded us started to disappear slowly."
" When I turned two years old, my mother suddenly started to train again and started to raid the dungeon again. She started to spend more time outside."
"With her talent, she quickly got famous again. In one year she became an A rank awakener. Seeing this my father tried to catch up to her but his talent had already reached its limit."
"Soon she started to travel all around the human continent, she was spending most of her time going around the human continent, meeting different people, partying etc."
People started to respect and admire her, when they heard she was married and that her husband was an B rank awakener who reached his limit, they started to badmouth my father saying he was holding back my mother.
People started to say my mother should leave my father and search for someone better for her.
All of that started to put pressure on my father and he tried to catch up to my mother to stand by her side.
But in the end, he failed. Various nasty rumours started to spread about my father, and my mother never tried to resolve the situation.
In the end, my father took the wrong path and started coming home drunk every day.
"My mother never tried to resolve the situation with my father and they started to have arguments daily."
"This started to affect me one way or another and they started to blame me."
" Even when the situation was bad at home, I was still a little happy, because I liked to spend time with Sera. Even though she was from the Rosefield family."
"That was the only source of happiness I had. Until one day..."

"Why did you also come home drunk today?"(Emma)
"Sorry, I will not do it again." (James)
"You bast*rd! You told me the same thing yesterday. Do you think a simple sorry will change everything? You know that because you're useless you can't do anything. You are destroying my career because of you. I can't do well in my career." (Emma)

The memories continued to shift once more, I started to see in the same circumstances the young Sam was with his father being yelled at by his mother. This caused young Sam to be terrified by both of his parents. I started to realize Sam's life.
.
.
.
"Shut the f*ck up, you bitch!!! (James)
Hearing my father's shout, my mother stopped.
"You are living your life to the fullest. Going around the world, partying and you are telling me I destroyed your career, I am holding you back. Why are you complaining about everything I do? I never questioned your way. Wherever you go outside…. You are receiving compliments, while I am living a life where whoever passes by me looks at me with disgust. Because I am your husband. You bit*h! you have no idea what I go through. So don't tell me how to live my life." (James)
.
.
.
Emma stood still, she couldn't process what was happening at that moment.
"Ha…Ha..ha…haha….haha! I know why you are yelling at me every day. You never loved me because if you did you wouldn't have any kind of problem with me." (Emma)
"You must be getting tired of me. You are annoying me every day because you want to leave me. You think someone like me doesn't deserve you. Is it the reason you are spending time with that rich bast*rd from the Bright family? Is he the reason you don't come home anymore? Did you also meet him like how you met me? Did you spread your legs for him because he is from the Bright family? Don't tell me you already f*cking that bast*rd…" (James)
Slap!
"SHUT UP!! Don't you dare to bad mouth him in front of me. He is way more of a man than you can ever be."(Emma)
.

While everything was happening they forgot about me. They were arguing in front of me, their four-year-old child…..
"I didn't understand what was happening back then"
Sam told me as his life flashed before my eyes.
" I never understood it. I tried to stop their argument but they didn't pay any attention to me. I didn't know what I should do. I just cried, trembling in fear, because I was scared."
"While I was scared at home, I found my happiness somewhere else."
