Chapter 08: Come With Me

I woke up when I felt something heavy on my tummy. Why the hell is it heavy?

I slowly opened my eyes and came face to face with a sleeping devil. I paused for a second to look at our position. Both of us are on my bed with his right arm on top of my hips. Our lips are only inches away from each other.

Because of that I screamed so loud!

"What the fuck!"

He woke up from the sound of me shouting next to him. I quickly got out of bed and stood next to my bed all flustered while hugging myself.

He groaned, “Woman, it's still early! Why the hell are you shouting?!"

Did he just shout at me? Seriously? Why is he the one getting angry? I looked at him with annoyance.

"You! Didn't I tell you to sleep on the couch? Why are you on my bed?!" I shouted angrily.

This guy's getting on my nerves! He's been a pain in the ass since last night as well.

"I'm not comfortable there. It felt like my whole body would get cramped so I moved on the bed last night,” He explained.

I feel like my anger started boiling up to my head because of this guy. I wouldn’t even be surprised if smoke would start coming out of my eyes and nose because of annoyance. I just left the room while stomping.

That Son of a bitch!

He followed me in the living room while still sleepy. He even yawned while scratching his half-closed eyes.

"Hey, Heavenly. Make me a cup of coffee again."

I closed my eyes out of irritation. He feels so at home in my place up to the point that he’s starting to boss me around.

I then looked at the wall clock. It's still six o'clock in the morning. My class starts at nine o’clock today. Thank goodness it's still early.

"Heavenly!" He called.

I closed my eyes again, trying to calm myself down. I might punch him if I lose control. He's even more stubborn than Colleen herself! Why am I surrounded by simple-minded kids?

"I told you not to call me that! Call me, Ven! Ven only!"

"Okay, fine. Make me a cup of coffee, then." I rolled my eyes at him. He's too bossy!

"Later. I'll take a shower first. Stay there and don’t go inside my room!" I stared at him menacingly.

I saw him sit back on the couch. Good boy. I sneered at him before turning my back. I went back in my room and walked inside the bathroom. While preparing to take a bath the scene from last night played in my head.

-Flashback-

"Vylant. Vylant Augen. It's nice to finally meet you, Heavenly Salazar."

I felt chills ran down my spine because of what he said. For some reason his introduction sounded like he has ulterior motives. I don't like this feeling.

"W-What are you?" I asked him while stuttering.

For some reason, I feel like I'm not ready to hear an answer. I already have an idea but I'm scared to hear it.

"It's a bit hard to explain but I'll try my best to make you understand everything." He inhaled a large breath before faking a cough. I got more nervous because of that. "I-I'm not from this world."

I expected that answer from him. Even though it's unbelievable, it's quite obvious. Though I can't help but to be frozen in place when he confirmed my thoughts.

"H-How come I can see you? Or should I say, why are you showing yourself to me?"

He knowingly looked at me before answering, "Heavenly, I need your help. You have something that can help me and my world."

What the hell? I have something that can help him and his world? "What would that be? And why do I have it? I literally have nothing to do with this."

I thought if he answered my questions things would finally be clear, it'll somehow be understandable for my mind. But it only got fucking complicated!

"I need you to come with me, please. Come to my world."

"What?!"

Is he out of his damn mind? Or is it me who's getting crazier and crazier as the seconds pass? What the fuck is happening?

"Why would I go there? Are you serious?" I asked in disbelief. I slowly walked backwards from what I've heard.

"I am damn serious. My world is in complete chaos right now. Our enemy is on full force and it's my responsibility to save my people."

"Why is it your responsibility?”

I don’t even know why the hell am I buying this. Things are getting more and more complicated. I'm not even sure if we're on the same page at all.

"I'm the prince of our kingdom. The heir to the throne."

His face was dead serious while saying that in front of me. It seems to me that he’s not kidding at all. But even if everything he said was true, why should I care about him being a prince and his dying world?

"Why me? I mean, out of all people, why me? I don't get this! There's nothing special about me besides being drop-dead gorgeous." I joked.

To be honest, I'm actually panicking inside but I refuse to show it. I even clasped my hands together to ease the shaking. He inhaled heavily before he spoke again.

"I won't be here if you're not--"

"Gorgeous?" I added.

"Special."

Ah, special.

"What is it anyway? What do I have that makes me special?"

He looked at me like he's having a hard time to enlighten me everything he just said. Ha! You better explain patiently. I endured the times when people thought I was losing my sanity because of the illusions only I can see.

But honestly, I'm actually quite happy that I can see him now. This only made it clear that I am not crazy after all. People can also see him while I was dragging him inside my condo earlier. It means I’m not the only one who can see him. He’s real.

“Look, I’ll believe everything you’ll say. So, spill it already.” I said as I looked at him straight in the eyes, letting him feel that I’m serious too.

“It’s really complicated. You will understand it better if you come with me now.”

“What? Like, right now? In your world?”

He nodded without hesitation while looking at me straight in the eyes.

“No! No way! I won’t go there. If you’re going to force me to come then you better get out of my place right now.” I replied then I stood up, I went outside my room to drink some coffee so I could calm myself from all of this while he started talking again.

“Heavenly please… Listen to me. I don’t have much time.”

I stopped on my tracks when I heard his pleading voice.

“What do you mean?” It made me raise my eyebrows along with my curiosity.

“I have a time limit in this world. Seven hundred hours at the very least. If I don’t go back within that span of time, my body will dissolve. I’ll vanish without leaving any trace. “

Is he making me guilty? If he is, then he’s doing great because it’s effective. But I don’t want to go! I won’t go.

“I hope you’ll understand too that it’s not that easy for me to do. Do you expect me to just trust a stranger? Does that even make any sense?!”

It’s my first time knowing that there are other worlds and this guy wants me to go there already? In another person’s perspective, that would be suicide!

“Put yourself in my situation, would you agree if a stranger suddenly asks you to come with him in another world?”

“I will, if it’s you. And we’re no strangers! We are far from being one,” He stated.

My brows furrowed. What does he mean by that?

“We are connected, Heavenly. I know you can feel it too. Our connection.”
