The Cottage

When Luc tells me about the magical dome surrounding the cottage, that make me thinking back about my cottage. All the little things that i think is normal is actually not normal

I always using the gas, electric and water bill as an excuse to come here in the cottage so my parent don't asked me why I always come back here every weekend and school holiday.

But then again I actually don't have to give them any reason because I never have any opportunity to tell them. They actually never ask me about what I do.

I tell myself that they love me, that they don't know how to show their love as I am not close to them, and during my stay with Nana we've never visit my parent and my parent never visit me either.

But deep down I know that I am nothing to them. I am just deluding myself as I love them because they are my only family, a relative that I know.

I should stop thinking about my family, it only stressing me. I know for sure what lies on their heart.

Thinking back about my utility bills, I actually never received them. At first when my Nana still here I thought that she pays for the bills. But I never received any utility bills since my Nana passed. Did I pay for the cottage maintenances? Hmm I thought I did. but when i think about it, i realize that I never pay anything apart for the grocery and my school fees and some necessity. What am I thinking (mentally facepalm) how can I pay for maintenance. Except me and my Nana, no one ever come here. Hmm well except for Luc but that different story.

I never realize that my whole life I actually live with magic surrounding me, maybe that's why I believe Luc. I know I don't believe him at first because I thought he is mocking me and not because who he is.

I live in this cottage since I am 10 years old and from the ancient gate that don't have electric remote that only require me to open it with my palm. The cottage itself, the outside and inside is totally different.

we never have visitor, no delivery man, no mail man.

My Nana says our neighbor is about 500 meter apart but I never saw any houses or junction along the road. And from the small town to the cottage takes about an hour's. I used to bike to school back then and I never thought about the distance because I don't feel tired. Nana has an old car in the garage that we only used it" to get grocery or on rainy day she sends me to school. I don't know how to drive so I don't know whether the car still can be use or not, I never check it since my Nana leave this beautiful world.

"….by, baby"

Luc calling me bring me back from my thought. "huh.. sorry Luc I am just thinking"

"Yeah I thought so, been calling your name a few time. What are you thinking baby?"

"I just thinking about this cottage, when you tell me about the magical dome it makes me realize all the unusual things that I take for granted. I never thought to ask my Nana about the cottage of why is it different.

When I started to live here all I think is about myself about my gift and why I am different that's even my parent don't want me and weird thats no one want to be friend with me."

"Baby, I will always be by your side"

"Thank you Luc... I am glad you found me"

"Luc... I told you about my birthday right?

"Yes, it's tonight right?"

"Yes it's tonight" I hold my necklace with the key. "My Nana gives me this key to be used to open an old chest in the library on my 18 years birthday at twelve midnight"

"Nana says that I will get my answer, I really hope that it does help me understand a few things. But... I… I just… I am nervous"

"Don't worry baby I will be there with you"

Later after our late dinner and taken my long bath. I knock on Luc door it's already 30 minutes past eleven. Hmm should I asked him to move in to my room, hmm I love cuddling with him" I can feel my face heating up and at the same time Luc open his door.

Chuckling. "Baby why are you blushing in front of my door?"

"Are you thinking of something naughty?"

"n..No ..No I am not I just… I Just.."

" I can see your ear already red baby, don't worry you can think of all the naughty things if It involve me"

"Luuuuc… don't tease me" I whine while covering both my ear with my hand

Hahaha… "you are so cute baby"

"arghhh.. Luuc.. its time...come with me it's nearly midnight, I bring you to the library"

This morning after our talk and cuddling I bring Luc to explore the cottage. Actually we have 20 rooms all together and one master bedroom. It's huge with king size bed a sitting room, en-suite bathroom, huge closet and mini pantry with small refrigerator. It's been empty because Nana doesn't want to stay there. Nana asked me to move in there, hmm I do like the room but it's huge for me. but now Luc is here maybe we can both occupy the room. Arghhh i can feel that i am blushing, hope Luc doesn't notice he will tease me endlessly.

All the room also has the same setting but the master bedroom is two times bigger than the others room.

The cottage is huge, as Luc say its not a cottage but mansion. We don't have housekeeper but surprisingly I never saw any dust accumulating it's like it's been cleaned every day. This is one of the things that I never think of why. I just pass it as normal.

The library is also huge, with lot of books. This where I spend most of my time growing up, I remember reading about mystic creature a werewolves, vampire, Elves, dragons and other magical creature. I been fascinated reading about their story. Huh… if Luc is real then are all the magical creature exists? i will ask him later

When we are inside the library we sit down facing the medium size old chest. It's already twelve; I take out the key from my necklace and open the chest and the chest and the keys suddenly disappear. Exchange with a palm size medallion. From the center of the medallion theirs is white light and slowly forming life size person, the apparition have long white hair and he is huge.
