After the short story, the soldiers have a small festival to welcome the new recruits.

In Nori's perspective, he is exploring a dense forest. filled with dead animal carcasses, blood, and a bloodcurdling smell of decay and filth. He jumps from tree to tree, trying his best to ignore the stench. He finally reaches a hollow part in the forearm. There he sees a sullieto of a muscular man with sharp claws and three deer-like horns.
Nori hides from the creature, but the creature spots Nori. He looks around, and the next moment, it's behind him. It slashes at Nori, but Nori uses his wind manipulation to push the creature back as it slashes him. Nori looks in horror as he sees the creature's traits. Scaly reptile skin, a human face, sharp fangs and claws, two tongues—he read about this in a book. as soon as Nori's brain hits what the creature is. He flees, using all his speed to run from the Cyo. Nori dashes up using his wind, far from the cyo's reach, and heads back to base at full speed. He instantly goes to Commander Xeno's office and explains to Xeno the situation. Xeno asks Nori if the Cyo chased him, to which Nori replies, "Probably not, as I don't think that one can fly.
Xeno looks frustrated but tells Nori to clean up and get up in formation in line as he's about to give another speech.
Lucian and Yuri ask him about what happened, and Nori tells them to wait for Xeno's speech, as he'll explain everything soon.
