123 Chapter 123: Crown Prince Elif

"I've come to stop you from killing Edvin, and while I may not be able to physically stop you, as the Heir to the Fairy Clan, I must give it my all to protect my clansmen, whether they stepped out of line or not." Replied Eyvor with resolve as she moved in between Elif and Edvin.

"Then, if you don't want to waste any time, I suggest you move; I'm going to kill him." Replied Elif as he ignored Eyvor and began squeezing Edvin, causing him to grunt in agony.

Fortunately for that insect, Edvin, Eyvor, summoned an artifact from her dimension ring before using it to destroy my palm, freeing Edvin from my clutches, which greatly angered me.

"Eyvor, just because we may be friends, don't think you can act however you want before my presence, especially right now." Said Elif coldly as he reached his hand forward and manifested another purple palm; however, compared to the previous palm, Elif was utilizing his full strength this time, which shows how enraged he truly was because even against Comet, he was still massively holding back.

"Prince Elif, h-he was still holding back!? Even when confronted with nearly every clan member from the younger generation, he still hadn't revealed his true strength! Just like Empress Maria said, he truly is a monster." Commented Patriarch Aasveig with a slightly shocked expression; though he wasn't the only person who felt that way, almost everyone watching had the same response, as for the first time in six years, Elif's full strength was on public display.

"This, is this the true might of Prince Elif?" Muttered Fulton in disbelief as he emerged from the hole in the wall his body made when Elif attacked him.

"Is he truly in the same generation as us?" Asked Clove as she also emerged from the hole in the wall.

"Ugh, so this is Elif's true strength; no wonder he views everyone in the OverRealm beneath him. With power like that at my fingertips, I'd also think the same." Said Edvin quietly in shock; though he may hate Elif, even he couldn't stop himself from slightly respecting him for his display of strength.

"P-Prince Elif, please, can you calm down for just a minute and allow us to converse properly?" Asked Eyvor as she tried her best to suppress her fear and remain calm when not only before Elif's killing intent but also his purple palm; seeing his full strength only made her realize that if Elif so wished, without her artifact, she wouldn't be able to resist if he decided to take her life.

Seeing Edvin pitifully kneeling behind Eyvor in fear, my desire to kill him had slightly waned, but not to the point where I'd let him live, just enough where I was willing to take a moment and allow Eyvor to speak. Granted, I will still kill him when she finishes persuading me not to kill Edvin.

"Fine, Eyvor, one minute; you have one minute to persuade me to allow that fool to live; after that, move so I can kill him." Replied Elif as he eyed Eyvor, then Edvin, before folding his arms, though the purple palm was still there hovering over the three of them menacingly, ready to strike down at any moment.

"T-Thank you, Prince Elif." Said Eyvor as she released of sigh of relief.

"I don't know what Edvin did to provoke your anger and incite the desire to kill him, Prince Elif; nonetheless, taking his life would only grant you momentary pleasure while causing permanent damage to our alliance, your alliance with the Kingdom of Druids, and any possible alliance in the future. Those things may not be enough to persuade you but don't forget you're the Crown Prince of the Elven Empire, the future Emperor, and as a future Emperor, your goal and duty is to improve the Elven Empire's standing, prestige, and power, and killing Edvin will cause major complications to this down the road. You're no longer a child, Prince Elif; you have a responsibility; from now on, your actions and words will affect the Elven Empire, whether positive or negative. While they may be minor, who knows what'll happen in the future." Added Eyvor as she finished persuading Elif, though his cold expression never changed.

"One minute, your times up." Stated Elif coldly while Eyvor sighed as she noticed she failed at persuading Elif; nonetheless, although she failed, she didn't move and continued protecting Edivn.

"So you're going to stay standing in my way?" Questioned Elif as he closely approached Eyvor, standing less than three inches apart from one another.

"I may have failed in persuading you, Prince Elif; however, as the Heir, I have many responsibilities, and protecting my clan members is just one of them." Replied Eyvor as she readied herself to fight against Elif, even though she knew she didn't stand an ounce of a chance, though I suppose luck was on her side today.

"Hmph, well, aren't you lucky." Remarked Elif as he waved his hand, causing the release of pressure on all of the Fairies and his purple palm to dematerialize.

"W-What are you doing, Prince Elif? Aren't you going to kill Edvin?" Questioned Eyvor while both she and Edvin were confused and surprised, though Edvin wouldn't say anything about it as long as he could live.

"Don't tempt me, Eyvor; the only reason I've decided to let that pathetic fool live is because of what you said. I'm no longer a child, my actions and words will have an impact on the Elven Empire, an Empire that I'll be managing one day in the far future, and I don't want to cause some massive complications for future me, just because I happened to kill Edvin in a fit of anger." Replied Elif coldly as he eyed both Eyvor and Edivn, evident to all that he was still very much angry, though unlike before, he was suppressing it.

"However, don't for a second think everything is okay; I may be holding back today; but if I ever lay eyes on Edvin again, I don't care where we are or what setting we are in; even if it's in the middle of your birthday celebration, I'll kill him. That's a promise of a Prince, Eyvor, don't think you'll be capable of persuading me again; miracles only happen once, after all." Added Elif coldly in anger as he bombarded the fearful Edvin with his killing intent before reluctantly holding back.

"I-I understand." Replied Eyvor seriously with a light smile while Edvin just stayed silent, lest Elif decided to kill him.

Taking my eyes off Eyvor and Edvin, I observed my surroundings and all of the damage my little rampage had caused, though luckily for everyone, I had been mostly holding back. Hence, the damage wasn't nearly as much as I expected, but still, it was no longer as pristine as before.

'Tch, I'll think about that later; I should leave before I suddenly decide to go back on my word and kill that insect.' Thought Elif with a frown as he started walking toward the exit while ignoring the stares of fear he was getting from nearly everyone the same age as him; Eyvor was the only one who looked at him without fear.

"I'll reimburse you for the damages, Patriarch Aasveig; just send me the bill; Illumia, Idonea, Marley, let's go." Stated Elif calmly; Idonea and Marley quickly followed after him as they all approached the exit.

"Until next time, Patriarch Aasveig." Said Illumia as she vanished before reappearing right behind Elif, causing Patriarch Aasveig to release a sigh of relief, frustration, and anger, though mainly relief knowing that nothing too serious had happened.

Once I neared the exit, I was also approaching Matriarch Aasveig, who had been glaring at me ever since she arrived, and while I would typically be slightly annoyed, I would've just ignored her; however, I currently wasn't in the best state of mind.

"What do you want, Matriarch Aasveig? You've been glaring at me since you arrived." Said Elif in an irritated tone as he stopped beside Matriarch and eyed her.

"Hmm, nothing." Replied Matriarch Aasveig as she began heading toward Eyvor, deciding to hold back her comment until he was in a better mood.

Seeing how she didn't want to say whatever she was thinking, I clicked my tongue and ignored her as I left the dining hall before exiting the manor after navigating through the hallways. Once outside, I quickly flew into the sky, leaving the floating island in search of my temporary residence so I may hopefully quell the raging anger in my heart.

When I arrived at my temporary residency, I walked into my house without saying a word before shutting the doors behind me.

"Do not bother me." Ordered Elif once he entered the house.

Seeing His Highness angrily enter his house while ordering no one to disturb him, I tightly gripped my sheathed sword before looking at Ms. Illumia in curiosity, and it seemed Marley must've had the same thought process as me.

"Ms. Illumia, can you tell us what happened and how that insect angered his Highness so much? I've never seen him so deadest on killing someone." Asked Marley in both curiosity and anger.

"Yes, I don't mind." Replied Illumia, reverting to her usual blandness as she explained what transpired between Elif and Edvin to both Idonea and Marley.

"H-He verbally humiliated and degraded Princess Elaine, yet he is still alive!?" Exclaimed Marley in utter shock, though her loud voice was heard by Elif, who released some of his Qi in response, causing the entire floating island to shake violently for a while before it eventually calmed down.

"Be quiet, Marley; His Highness is still enraged about what happened, and I'm sure you don't wish for His Highness to vent his anger on you." Reprimanded Idonea, though she wasn't any less shocked than Marley; both knew how much Elif treasured Elaine.

"I-I'll be silent." Replied Marley quietly with slight fear.

"Even I'm surprised, His Highness, let Edvin live; although I'm sure he wishes for nothing more than to kill him, what he did was the right choice; killing Edvin would've given him more problems in the long run." Commented Illumia with a slight smile before shaking her head and walking toward her house, leaving Marley and Idonea alone.
