343 The Prophecy

By now Hildara understood she was no ordinary woman. She had been blessed by the gods and had been blessed with powers. Powers that lay dormant in her and mostly she didn't understand them.

Rilias had gifted her a ruby bracelet as a gift for the birth of their daughter. The moment she wore it and touched the ruby with her index finger, it glowed as if emitting thousands of rays of light. It perplexed her and at the same time made her feel warm.

She wished for protection against anyone with ill intent. Hildara understood that some of her wishes did indeed come true so she hoped that her coming generations remained protected from this new threat she had unknowingly created.

Hildara had heard about the incident at the palace and although she was not close to her family, it still broke her heart. She prayed and prayed for the powers that had been transferred from her, to vanish, but seemed like not all her prayers were meant to be heard.
