Chapter 22: Let's build a house part 1

Rina's POV

After Garwyr returned, he told me that he took care of the merchant. At first, It may look like he killed him, but he just found some evidence convincing enough to arrest the merchant to be arrested. He 'submitted' them to the knights of Sarvall, making them take action.

He said that we should wait a month, and then he'll investigate what had happened then. I was not in a hurry to know what happened to that merchant, so I didn't really care that much.

A week has passed, and it is still the same as usual for us. This time, however, there are many new things that we have done since I have built some facilities.

I've been enjoying gardening together with Garwyr. I've used magic to speed up the growth of the crops and planted new ones using the seeds that I gathered by converting vegetables with magic. Of course, I let Garwyr do the hard work by tilling the field and harvesting them, Mwuahahaha!

Other than that, I have also been making some magical tools that can help Garwyr with his hunt. For example, I have made a tube that can help drain blood faster and put them inside a vial. It can also be used to draw out some sap on trees or something similar. It automatically pours the content when used by giving your Mana. I also have other stuff made, but it is not ready yet, so this is the only one I can give to him, for now at least.

Whenever I gave something to him or made some stuff, he always had a faraway look on his face.

Thanks to the books given to me by Garwyr, I managed to learn some skills.

The skills I received are pretty good, especially [Dimensional Control]. The ability to use "Storage" at level two is very helpful. I'm excited to level them up, so I'm happy to learn more new skills.

By the way, the golem from before are made by earth magic. I thought at first that you needed some sort of skill or something similar to make golem, but according to the book "A Great Sage's Biography," They are made by earth magic.

Hmm? Why did I make a golem? Well, it's only just a whim. Since tending the garden is hard work, I thought I could make a golem so I could leave it to them. That is why they only knew simple orders and movements since for that purpose.

I also noticed that ever since Garwyr returned, he is pretty calm whenever I do something out of the ordinary(according to this world anyway). He is usually flabbergasted, but now he always listens with a wry smile. It looks like he's given up? I don't know.

Now that things began to settle down, it's time for me to make the thing that I wanted.

I want to build a house. A dream house. Right now, I have the skill, time, magic, resources, and a helper(Garwyr) to make it.

After eating breakfast, I stood up and declared loudly.

"Alright! Time to make a dream house!"

"That came out of nowhere... Aren't tents enough?"

"What are you saying?! Don't you want a proper house so you can feel at home?"

"Well, yeah... but..."

"Besides, I want to build and design our house just like I always dreamed of. Cooking at a kitchen, sleeping on a bed inside a room, and gazing outside as I finished reading a book while sitting on a sofa..."

I sighed dreamily.

"Ahh, that will be wonderful!"

"I see."

He smiled warmly.

"Then let's build your dream house."

I looked at him with a confused look.

"What are you talking about? It will also be your home, so it will be 'Our' dream house."

He was surprised when I said that. I mean, we have been living together, so of course it will be our house.

He then nodded and smiled as he seemed very eager.

"But are you sure you want to build it here? Sherwood forest is not exactly a good place to live in, especially in the deepest part, like where we are."

"There are a lot of good resources here, though."

"Sure, but it's not like we're safe here, you know?"

"Really? But I never saw any monsters near the camp."

"That's because i constantly hunt any monsters that may come here."

"Is that so? Then, thank you for keeping me safe."

"You're welcome, but that's not what we are talking about right now."

I gave him a knowing smile.

"Let's build it here. When the time comes when we have to leave, I can do something about it."

"... And that will be?"

I gave him a wink and put my pointing finger on my lips, making a shushing gesture.

"You'll know when the time comes."

"Aaannd, I am not looking forward to it."

He shook his head as I giggled.

"Anyways, any idea what the house would look like?"

"I got the blueprint right here."

I said as I pointed to my head.

"I've been dreaming about it for a long time that I memorise every single detail of how my house would look like."

"Oohh! Very nice."

"Hehe, yep, but what about you?"

"Me? Well, it's not like i have any idea of what is mine, so let's go with yours."

"Are you sure?"

"Mhm, if you're happy with how you will design it, then I am fine with it.

"Hehe, okay then."

With that, I told him how the house would look like.
