Chapter 1

19 year old Elodie felt fed up. She could hear her husband screaming about how long she took to make dinner ready. Her 4 year old son stood beside her as she made dinner. He kept asking about everything and touching everything.

She was tired of chastising him so let him be. She was heavily pregnant and tired but she had to make the dinner or her husband might hit or starve her for a few days.

She got married to him at 13. She didn't want to but she pretty much didn't have a choice. Her mom and dad divorced before she was even born. She lived with her dad till she was 8 years old. Her dad had to relocate abroad but her mom wouldn't let him take her along so she started living with her and her husband.

Living with her step dad was hell. He hit her at every chance he got. Her mom didn't really give fuck so he got away every time. She was sexually and physically abused. At 13, her stepdad somehow convinced her mom to sell her off to Adric. He was rich and offered 3million. The price for her suffering and misery. They got their marriage certificate the very next day and she moved into his house immediately.

It turned out her husband was a masochist. He derived pleasure from pain. He treated girls as toys. He hit her at every chance. He raped her repeatedly. She had her son at 15years old. She felt ashamed sometimes as she married her husband when he was 36years old. He was way older than her.

Despite how hurriedly she prepared the dinner her husband still found fault with it. There were bunch of rules in the house that Elodie found stupid. If she broke any one, her husband will beat her till she was close to meeting her ancestors. Her son was her only reason to live. The new baby is an addition. She felt like she getting more tied down with the new baby's arrival. She couldn't leave the house much. She could only read and write. Her husband refused to sponsor her further. She had no job and she could only go out when she drops her son at kindergarten or when she goes out to buy groceries. Her life was boring and repetitive.
