126 DON’T YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY SHE LEFT YOU?

"I told you!" Ella says loudly shrugging her shoulders.

"I should have listened to you all this while." Shamim whispers sadly.

"It's fine, at least it's not too late."

"It's not too late? Do you know how much energy I have invested in that girl?" Shamim asks almost crying.

"Thank God you have not married her or engaged her."

"Thankfully I haven't." He whispers and is silent for a while. "Actually, what do you plan on doing concerning Miss Vivian?"

Ella shrugs her shoulders again. "I don't know."

"You have no plans whatsoever?" Shamim asks again.

"Yes."

"But I think at the very least you should try and reach out to her."

She shakes her head with her eyes closed. "No I don't, what's the point of trying to reach out to her anyways? she is happy where she is. Reaching out to her is like trying to remind her of the horrible pasts."

"You don't care to know why she left you?" Shamim asks lowering his voice.

"I do, but the fact that she left me all alone in the first place is still hurting me to my bones. I was mentally and emotionally derailed then. If not for mom and dad, I could have actually died over night." She whispers very sad.

"I will suggest you at least try and find out why she left you, no one is asking you to make up with her or anything."

"I do miss her, seriously."

"Just fight your ego and reach out to her, it's past ten years already." Shamim whispers.

Lola opens the door without knocking and peeps inside holding the door's handle. "What are you both doing?" She asks.

"Nothing much, we are just discussing somethings." Shamim replies.

"Come downstairs, food is ready." Lola says with a smile.

"Alright, we are on our way." Shamim replies again.

Lola notices that Ella is just sitting very quiet and only her brother was doing the talking. "Ella what is wrong with you?"

"Nothing mom." Miss Smith whispers still sounding somehow down.

"Are you sure?" Lola asks again and walks in to observe her daughter well. "Are you okay?"

"Yes mom." Ella replies trying to brighten her tone a bit but it didn't work out.

"You don't sound okay to me." Lola persists and touches her forehead checking her temperature.

"Mom." Ella calls and fakes a smile. "You worry too much, I will be fine."

"How do you expect me not to worry? When my daughter isn't sounding well." Lola nags.

"Mom just stop it, you treat us like babies. For God's sake we are adults now." Shamim complains.

"Till death you will still remain my babies." Lola says and pulls Shamim cheeks.

"Dad is your baby now." He says and removes his cheek from his mom's palms with smiles. "You care about him alone anyways."

"There you are, acting jealous again." Ella says pointing at her brother.

"You already have a girlfriend for yourself so stop getting jealous over the relationship I have with my husband."

Shamim giggles and suddenly, his mom's manner of dressing got his attention. "What are you wearing?" He asks staring at the boy short which his mom has on.

Lola looks at herself again and replies. "Just a regular pair of shorts and a nice tank top."

"You shouldn't be wearing this anymore mom, you are just too old for this. How can a woman with two grown adults children still dress like this?"

"But your father likes it a lot." Lola says trying to defend herself.

"He asked you to wear these?" Shamim asks again.

"Yes." Lola nods.

Shamim sighs deeply already giving up, if his dad asked his wife to do so, then he is in no position to complain. "Alright." He whispers calmly.

Kylie walks in the room to with a lot of smiles as always. "Dad is waiting for you all."

"Alright, let's go." Ella holds her baby sister and walks out of the room successfully escaping the conversation her mom was trying to have earlier.

"I wonder why she is always smiling." Shamim says with a broad smile as he watches his sisters walk out of the room.

"Let's go have dinner, it's getting late already." Lola says and drags her son out of his room straight to the dining room.

Malik sits with his youngest daughter on his laps and he feeds her with some fish. "Do you like the fish?" He asks.

Kim nods with a smile as they have been taught not to talk while eating.

"You guys have started eating without us." Kylie says with a sound tone of jealousy in her voice.

"You were taking for ever, and Kim was already hungry." Malik says and looks at his eldest daughter. "Hi dear.,how are you doing?" He greets as he puts some pieces of fish in Kim's mouth again.

"I am fine dad." Ella replies and takes her sit. "How was work today ?"

"It was fine thank you." Malik replies and looks at his son. "Shamim, how are you doing today?"

"I am fine dad." He replies with a smile and sits too.

Lola immediately starts serving everyone's meal. The strong and very nice aroma of the food fills the entire room.

Kylie sniffs deeply and happily. "The food smells so beautiful."

"Do enjoy your meal." Lola says facing her daughter.

The entire family enjoys their meal and the whole room is quite for some minutes. Malik continues to feed his youngest daughter directly from his own plate of food.

"I already ended things with Cassandra."shamim whispers breaking off the silence.

"Are you for real?" Lola walks with happiness written over her face.

"Yes mom."

"This is so wonderful to ear." Malik adds, he notices Kim struggling to get off his legs and he gently assists her and watched her closely as she walks up to Kylie. "I think she is filled."

"You want to go upstairs?" Kylie asks her little sister.

"Yes." Kim says calmly with a nod.
