98 ABDULLAH’S HELP

Ella shuts the door quietly and locks it too. She walks straight to the drawer where she had kept her phone. Miss Smith carefully picks her cell phone and tries calling Vivian again but it still isn't going through.

"I wonder where she is now, or did something bad happen to her? But I guess nothing happened to her because if the note she left me, did she leave with that boyfriend of hers?" Ella asks herself.

By all means, she wants to find Vivian, but Malik isn't willing to help her so she has to look for help elsewhere. She remembers that Abdullah had always talked about his older brother who is very good in tracking people using just small informations provided. She thinks about it for a while, If she is to ask Abdullah for help, then she has to tell him everything that happened.

"Will it be a good idea to tell him everything?" She asks herself. With time she concludes on telling him everything that had happened, there is on other choice anyways. He is the only hope left for her to find Vivian.

She unlocks her phone and texts Abdullah. "Hi dear."

It takes about 30 seconds before Abdullah reply. In the process of waiting, Ella considers changing the topic when he replies.

"Hello, how are you doing?" Abdullah texts back.

Ella takes a deep breath and thinks for about 5 seconds wether to continue with the conversation or just change the topic to something light. But for how long is she going to keep pretending and hiding from almost everyone around her? She decides to tell him the truth. "I haven't been able to pick your calls for a while."

"You have always been giving me excuses of you being so busy and not being with your phone. You even opted out of our house hosting. Ella tell me what exactly is going on, is everything alright with you?" He asks.

Even though they were just texting each other, Ella could feel he is really worried about her. "A lot of terrible things have been happening, I planned on keeping it from you before, but I don't think I should anymore. You know who I am anyways. So I should just let you know all that happens."

"Something terrible? Can you tell me here or do you suggest I come over to your place?" Abdullah asks again.

Ella looks at the message and smiles. "This boy worries a lot." She says in her mind and types a message to him. "No, don't bother I will tell you all you need to know here."

"Alright, I am listening." He replies.

Ella exhales deeply and types. "The day I came to your house, after the fun and I went back home. I couldn't find Miss Vivian anymore, she packed all her things and left. I even thought something terrible happened but she left me a goodbye note."

"I can't believe this! Can I call you?" Abdullah asks through the texts.

"No please don't, I can speak at the moment." Ella texts back.

"Can't speak? I do not understand what you mean by that?"

"After she left me, I tried calling her thousands of times but I couldn't reach her. So I got very sick, I really thought I was going to die but God saved me. I managed called principal Lola, she came to my rescue with the police officer that handled my case the other day at the police station. They rushed me to the hospital, and I was unconscious for a while. When I woke, I realized I couldn't bring myself to say anything."

"oh goodness! Ella, you mean you can't speak at the moment? No wonder you have been avoiding my calls. Darifa and Asma are pretty much as worried as I am now." Abdullah texts back expressing his feelings.

"At the moment, I am at the police officer's house, His name is Uncle Malik. He has a son of our age and they are really nice." Ella types trying to brighten Abdullah's mood a bit before going to main point of it.

"That's good to hear, but what did the doctor say about your voice?" Abdullah asks.

Ella looks at the message for a while, not knowing what to type as a reply. She is pretty much aware that regaining her ability to speak might take a while. But she didn't want to tell him, so as not to make him scared. "He says if I stop thinking of those things they would make me sad and do all the things that will make me happy, I will regain my voice again."

"Thank goodness, Ella please listen to the doctor. Do only the things that will make you happy, I want you to regain your voice before we resume school." He texts.

"I will try my best, but there is something I want to tell you." Ella types already hitting the nail on the head.

"What is that? Feel free to tell me anything that's bothering you." Says Abdullah.

"You told me about your brother that could track anyone anywhere with just few information about the person isn't it?" Ella asks and hopes for a positive reply in return.

"Yes I did, but why asks if about him? Do you want to find someone?" Abdullah asks.

"Miss Vivian left me without telling me what exactly warranted the action, she even put me in this terrible situation. Don't you think I should look for her and ask her what she left me?"

"I think it's better to just let it pass, everything happens for a reason. Moreover, looking for her is very bad for you right now, you could get really hurt when you realize why she left you. So I suggest you forget about her for now, and focus on speaking again." Abdullah suggests.

Why are they saying the same thing? Lola and Malik said the same thing earlier too. How come they are not thinking like her? How come the three of them have the same mentality. Ella asks herself almost offended with the reply Abdullah gave her.
