Elites From Another World

A fairy tale about a Forgotten Knight remembered by many, reuniting with his Heavenly Saint, who is known by none. A cursed tale about a damned youth encountering the demon of the battlefield. Both tales tell different stories, but only the people involved know what truly happened, and what stories remain untold. ... Fate? What does that have to do with anything? Sometime we meet the most unusual people, and other times we meet people we've met once before, but had no idea we did. Arcane High is a place which has a lot of "fate" surrounding it. For a place which falls outside the bounds of a normal school, it managed to do what any normal school always did. Bring people together. Ean, Heaven Kinston is the Third Young Miss of the Kinston family. She has never gone to any normal school before, and her first is Arcane High. Due to unusual circumstances, she manages to get into this school, and she meets the most unusual people by… fate? Despite the grandeur of the Kinston family, their youngest daughter, Heaven Kinston, is pretty much unknown by everyone but everyone somehow knows her. Her life until she gets to Arcane high can be described in one word, Unknown. Ean's life is unknown to so many people, including herself. How so…? Her life, though it had its ups and downs, had seemed very normal to her, until she gets to Arcane High and starts to realize how sheltered she's been. Sometimes, she wonders if she's ever met anyone apart from the people she currently knew. Other times, she forgets she ever has such thoughts. And most times, she recalls fleeting memories of those thoughts, that was probably one of the reasons she had agreed to go to Arcane High. Calm seas appears calm to whoever looks at its surface, but only those who go into it, know how turbulent it is within. The saying can describe Arcane High's current situation. Unbeknownst to everyone else, not just Ean, Ean's entry into Arcane High set something into motion, which uncovered more secrets than those who were involved knew existed. Come along and unravel the mystery behind the word "fate", and what role it plays in this unusual tale lived by one and many others.

As I watched him walk off I couldn't help but feel angry, but there was nothing I could do, I needed him!

'She wouldn't want me to be going through all this…', Alexander was wondering if he should take a break, because all these was truly exhausting.

Had it been he never met Ean, then he bet he wouldn't be thinking like this.

'Give up? I won't give up because of her, and there's nothing she can do about it!', A flash of determination flashed through his eyes, and a wave of shame washed over him.

He couldn't believe the thoughts he was having, after everyone's sacrifices he wanted to give up. He had been through so many things in his eighteen years of living and so many things almost made him give up, but he never did! Because of the people that were around him and the people that he had met.

Regaining his title as crown prince was only an auxiliary goal, it was a means to achieve his other goals.

Alexander mentally recalled them while walking towards the car.

'Get back at Leslie and his treacherous aunt, somehow find a way to destroy the main branch of the Anderson family, find out what exactly happened to Alexa…'

He slowly stopped when he had thought that far. He suddenly found it hard to breathe, his chest felt stuffy and his heart rate spiked up. Alexander held his chest and took slow deep breaths.

'It's okay it's okay… it's oka…', he mentally comforted himself and remained like that for a while, before he continued walking towards the car.

Ding

Just as he reached the car, a notification came in on his phone, he checked it out and found himself smiling.

'She found it! But it's quite long…', he furrowed his eyebrows at the file that was being opened on his phone.

When he opened the door, his thoughts were disrupted by the conversation that he heard.

"Should we wait for him?", he heard the drivers voice and replied to his question without waiting for Xavier to speak.

"There's no need I'm already here", he said a little bit coldly. Although he was no longer angry at Xavier, he didn't want him to know!

He felt Xavier's gaze on him before he looked away. Alexander's full attention was on his phone as he read through the information his sister sent him.

The car was silent as the driver manuervered it out of the parking lot, they were ready to go.

Alexander looked up at Xavier who was staring outside the window, then he unconsciously looked out as well.

There was nothing, just a lot of students going in and out of the school.

'That's a lot of students, who knew the school had contained them all', he knew these were students of Arcane Elite High only.

Everywhere became silent again and he brought out headphones in order to watch a video when he heard Xavier's silent whisper.

"Artemis…"

Alexander paused. The headphones in his hands slipped due to his unconscious trembling, he turned to look at Xavier who was looking outside the window.

His sage green eyes were shaky, and his complexion paled terribly, as he trembled in shock.

'That… how did he… it's impossible right?'

It had been a long time since he heard that name, and he had long accepted the reality of never hearing it again or meeting the person themselves but…

Xavier. How did Xavier know her?!

'Could they be the same person…? That's not possible, they look nothing alike!', the thought flashed through his mind but he denied it almost immediately.

Alexander might be silly and sometimes a little bit stupid, but he wasn't so stupid to not be able to recognize the people he had met.

Especially the ones that left such an impact on him!

The change in Alexander was completely noticeable if anyone had been paying attention to him.

His gaze remained on Xavier who had also not moved from his previous position, he was in a daze but Alexander wasn't, and had heard him loud and clear.

'But how come? It hasn't been that long… could there be- no something doesn't match…', Alexander wasn't thinking straight, and he was overwhelmed with shock, hence his condition acted up again.

'Calm down deep breaths…'

Deep breaths, deep breaths…

A little while later, Alexander had finally calmed down and he realized his mistake. Instead of thinking about Xavier, he was meant to be looking for the person called Artemis, not like he would have any hope finding her but he wanted to try.

Unfortunately for him, the car had already driven out of the parking lot and was on it's way home.

"Damnit!", he cursed softly.

He glanced at Xavier who had closed his eyes and wondered if he was asleep, he was about to ask him for confirmation but he decided not to bother so as not to alarm Xavier.

He rested back on his seat, and thought;

'Is it really Artemis? If it it, then that means he's Knight… But I've told him a lot of the things about the person I was looking for… That can't be it, something is missing here… it really doesn't add up…'

He looked at Xavier again. Xavier looked nothing like the person he was trying to find. But there was a subtle resemblance between him, and the person in his memory. And once again to Alexander's misfortune, that resemblance was not uncommon.

'What exactly am I missing?!', Alexander started to hate his incompetence and his slow reaction time.

If he had immediately gotten down from the car, to look for 'artemis' there was a slight possibility of finding her…

…But not he couldn't even if he wanted to.

"Knight… Artemis… what exactly links this two together? They're both nicknames, but what do they mean…", Alexander mumbled out in thought.

He looked down at his phone, and decided to continue reading the information his sister had sent him.

But Alexander seemed to have offended Lady Luck because she was not on his side, and everything in the extended file comprised of scattered but detailed information about the appearance of unidentified creatures, and where they were found.

'Thame cliff…', Alexander spotted a familiar term, backed out of the app and went to the map on his phone to look for it's location.

'It's near a jungle…! Could this be the place?', Alexander pondered for a little while longer, before he sighed and turned off his phone.

"I'm not getting anywhere with this…"

Ean walked through the school gates once again, but had her gaze fixed on the watch instead. Her phone was dialing a number, but the call was simply not going through.

She ignored her phone and continued to stare at her spoils of war. The watch was made in an unusual way, and everything about it was unique. She turned it over and saw the initials, N·E, engraved on the back of the watch.

"So it's not hers…", she mumbled softly then moved her gaze to her phone.

The call wasn't being picked up.

'Just what is going on?!', she was getting frustrated.

She had called both Diamond and Ms Gigi, she even called the driver, but none of her calls went through.

Beep

The call got cut off, and immediately after an unknown number came in.

She glanced at the string of numbers and realized she didn't know who the caller was.

Just as she was about to pick the call, someone grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her back.

Then she turned around and… she simply turned around. Ignoring the weirdness she felt, she met the gaze of the familiar stranger.

'Why do I feel so light?', she frowned slightly and turned her phone off.

A familiar stranger? Any guesses…
