Love Is Never Easily Obtained.

"Misaki, I'm going to die"

Is what I thought of saying…

I did not have the resolve to do that just yet, the mood just wasn't the most favorable one to do so.

"Wh-What is it Zakou?" She asked whilst my eyes dove off into the sky as the atmosphere was covered in stars and various other bright colors, "Nothing." I answered with a sigh of relief while I threw myself onto the grassy ground.

"Im just admiring the night sky." I added as I gazed off into the distance.

"You know, I don't know anything about love or romance, I'm not sure if your still willing to-" I ignorantly rambled my thoughts as she quickly spoke over me, "I don't know anything about love or romance either, Your the first boy to ever like me back, b-but I don't know how you-" She said full of doubt, But I quickly responded.

"N-No! I-I really really REALLY like you, I never really talked to any girls in my personal life, but the first day I saw you, I didn't think twice about the fact that I knew you were special, W-Well putting my nonsense into context-" I gently took both of her hands, "T-Todomaru Misaki, w-would you like to be my girlfriend?" I requested as I looked at her in the eyes.

I could clearly see how her eyes teared up and sparkled in the bright night.

"Yes! I will!" She smiled in response, I gently placed my hand on her face and pulled her close towards me and kissed her, as a tear of joy quickly ran down her face.

"Zakou, Promise me, that from now on you will be honest with me and keep no secrets to yourself, Okay?" She demanded with a serious look on her face, "U-Uh, Y-Yeah." I answered with a gulp as a drop of sweat ran down my face, "So, I want you to go ahead and tell me what you were going to say at the Hospital." She demanded, "I'm not sure right now is the-" I started, "Please." She said just like in the Hospital, "If you insist, Misaki, I'm going to die." I said with a straight face.

"Z-Zakou, I-I don't get what you're saying, What do you mean you're going to die?" She seemed awfully puzzled and frightened.

"Just like I said, I'm going to die, in a year." I implied while I held her tight and looked at her in the eye.

"This is why I don't want to-" I began as my eyes yearned for help and forgiveness, "It doesn't make a difference to me, I love you no matter what circumstances in which you are." She said with a bright yet calming smile, "B-But why- Why are you-" She asked with fear in both her voice and eyes, "My powers are killing me, that's what's happening." I implied.

"Y-You're powers? W-What do you mean your powers are killing you? How is that even possible!?" She questioned as she kept getting more concerned.

"I have a heart disease that never seemed to be a problem growing up, But it looks like when my powers manifested, especially all of them, it started to get worse. My body is weak and fragile, It can't keep up with the strain of all of these powers- Even if I don't use them, they are slowly eating me away like a burning leaf." I explained as I trembled in fear and terror.

"D-Does Jonetsu and your family know!?" She asked in anguish, "No, And they won't know, I need you to keep it a secret." I requested hoping she could keep it a secret. If someone were to find out, it would cause me a whole world of problems.

"But if we tell your father we could find a way of saving you-" She insinuated in anguish and fear as she was clearly worried, "No, Telling my Dad would only make things more complicated, and he will most likely dispatch me off of my assassination duties." I said while I shook my head.

"I have to do something about my powers or my disease. Sooner or later she will let it slip, Her concern for me will get the better of her and tell it to Jonetsu, and Jonetsu knowing is an automatic message towards my Mom and Dad." I thought to myself.

"Either way, Let's go back inside, They will start getting concerned if we stay out here for too long." I said as I got up from the ground and whipped the grass of my pants, Soon after I helped Misaki to get up, "Don't worry, I will find a way to-" I started but she soon spoke over me, "We, Will find a way to save you." She implied as her soft and kind voice brought peace to my mind.

"Yeah, We will do it together." I said back with a smile of relief and gratitude.

We both made our way back into the house, where we were greeted to the Kissing Booth Game which was still in session.

"Oh, you two are back." Said Jonetsu as he chewed on some popcorn, "Yeah, Missed us?" I asked with a sarcastic yet superior tone of voice, "No, Once I saw you two making out, Gale and I came right back." He answered once he swallowed his popcorn.

"Y-YOU DID!?" Misaki and I yelled with our faces red. I quickly took back my composure.

"E-Either way, What did we miss?" I asked while Misaki and I sat next to Jonetsu, which we sat next to each other.

"Well almost everyone had their turn in the game, At this point I have not participated, But it currently is supposed to be Ganjo and Hitomi." He explained as he again munched on some more popcorn.

"G-GANJO IS PARTICIPATING!?" I yelled in shock, as I never knew Ganjo would take part in such a lewd game.

"Well, He's more like being forced to participate because of Reimi." He implied as he threw some more popcorn into his mouth.

A short while after idly chatting waiting for the next round to start, Reimi came in as she dragged Ganjo across the floor, She sat him down which he already had a blindfold on. Shortly after Hitomi came and sat in front of him.

"Well, I guess it's going to start, can't wait to see what the outcome will be of this." Jonetsu chuckled as he once again was chewing on popcorn.

We all paid close attention to them as they sat without moving an inch, But it quickly got to us when Hitomi started to move.

"Hitomi Huh?" Thought Ganjo to himself, as he smelled Hitomi's perfume with his great sense of smell.

"He may not remember, But I've liked him for a long time, before we were even in high school...." Hitomi said to herself as she slowly moved closer to Ganjo.

It was impacting for us, But Ganjo quickly reacted and grabbed Hitomi by the arms and pulled her close to him, and gave her a short yet pleasing kiss. It quickly ended when he let her go.

"G-Ganjo." Gasped Hitomi with her hand over her mouth, as she straightened her posure.

"That's as far as I will go." He said out loud. He got up, took his blindfold off, and took his exit.

"Come on, He's such a sore player." Reimi sighed in disappointment, "Well, either way, At this point we all know who are the only people that have not participated, Jonetsu and Jun, Could you two step up to the stage?" Reimi said as she pointed at Jonetsu and Jun.

"Well, looks like it's your turn-" I spoke, which I quickly noticed Jonetsu was currently not sitting beside me, "Uh, Right here." Jonetsu said as he tapped me on the back, "What the heck, Where were you?" I was completely confused about him suddenly disappearing, "Just doing something real quick." He smirked.

He made his way up to the stage, Put his blindfold on and sat down, Shortly after came Jun up the stairs with her little fairy close to her. She did the same as Jonetsu did. You could see how she was embarrassed, I've been an assassin for long enough to be able to notice someone in love from a mile away.

Soon after, they started to move closer to each other, But suddenly we heard a loud slam where the front door was.

"Oh my, Who could that be." Said Ms. Hayami as she got from her seat, She slowly made her way towards the door as we could clearly hear, "I'm home."

"Oh no…" Said Misaki as she shivered in fear, "What's wrong?" I looked at her as I could see the terror in her eyes, "T-Thats my Dad." She implied with a frown.

My Dad got up from his seat, as his eyes shone but quickly faded.

"We're leaving, Everyone get their things and head home." Said my Dad with a serious look on his face, "W-What? B-But why?" I questioned his decision, I saw no problem in us being there, Until Jonetsu came and placed his hand on my shoulder, "We're leaving." He frowned.

"M-Misaki, What's going on!?" I demanded an answer as I was clearly confused and left in fret, "Zakou, Just leave…" She mumbled as her eyes quickly sank into darkness, almost like splashing ink on a sheet of paper.

Everyone got up from their seats as soon as they felt Dad's presence grow in menace, they took their things and quickly left through the front door.

"What the hell is going on here?" Said Misaki's father with a sneer, "N-Nothing dear, W-We were just celebrating Misaki's friends birthday-" Shivered Ms. Hayami as there was fear in her voice, "And who the hell said you could do so?" He answered with hate and anger in his voice.

"D-Dad, W-We have to do something-" I suggested as he grabbed me by the arm and pulled me away, "We were just taking our leave." Said my Dad looking at Misaki's Father in the eyes.

As we swiftly went out the door, I quickly took a glance at Misaki's Fathers eyes, and In my years of being an assassin I have never seen so much fear in a person's eyes, it's almost like if he was never given sympathy or mercy as a child.

"D-Dad, Why the hell did we leave!? We should have done something!" I yelled as I yanked my arm away from his grip, "Son, Listen to me, That's nothing for us to get involved in, That's a family matter, Do you understand?" He said whilst looking at me with his dark yet fearsome eyes, "Y-Yes, I-I understand." I quivered with a mumble.
