Incoming

The surrounding darkness crept further in.

Katherine was cold and dizzy. Her mind felt sluggish.

Goosebumps, a storm is coming.

There is potential.

She'd need about 2500 watts. She crawled around in the pitch black room for 10 minutes before she found a sheet metal wall reaching up to the floor above. Air contact.

Time goes by, she can't tell how much.

Loud footsteps from the wooden  floor above.

Door slams open, lights on. The two guards come down and grab her under the arms and drag her upstairs.

There he was again. They dropped her at his feet.

"The two you were working with, where are they?"

"Who..." she mumbled.

He came closer and wrapped his hand around her thumb.

"Try me bitch, I'll break it"

She looked around in the room. Eyes barely open.

"3 aircrafts are closing in on here. Probably CIA"

"And what you're saying is true?"

"Yes" she replied.

"Prove it."

"A storm is forming and floating here from the west in about 14 minutes, the aircrafts are coming from south and they'll be here in 7. As I see it, you have no choice but to move. Either the CIA takes you down, or I fry you and your men if you manage to take down the CIA."

He leans down interested.

"And if CIA takes us?"

"Then I take 'em down. You have no time to worry about any 'friends' I might have."

He laughs.

"You... how the hell did you end up here. You could've been anybody, excel in any number of jobs. Instead you snatch yourself a big name and pretend you belong in this business."

They let her down and she painfully rolls onto her back, her head resting beside a patch of blood.

"Living is easy with eyes closed. Let's just say I'm trying to live up to my potential."
