[88] "Infernal training"

[The next day]

The alarm went off promptly at 5 a.m., waking Jiwoo, Ares and Kayden.

Jiwoo opened his eyes, yawned and stretched his body. "What time is it?" he asked, still sleepy.

"It's 5 a.m.," Ares replied, stretching with his cat body.

"Get up, it's time to start your training," Kayden said with his eyes almost closed.

Jiwoo quickly got up and exclaimed excitedly. "Training will begin!"

"Yesssssss," Kayden said and then asked excitedly. "Are you ready?"

"YIIIIIII," Jiwoo shouted.

"I can't hear you," Kayden joked.

"SIIIIIII," shouted Jiwoo even louder.

Kayden laughed, and Ares did the same.

"Let's go to the basement," Ares suggested, at which point they headed that way.

In the basement, Jiwoo saw a black punching bag hanging from the ceiling.

Ares transformed into his human form and pulled a black ribbon from his pocket. "Come closer," he said, holding out his hand.

Jiwoo stepped closer and Ares asked. "Give me your hands."

Jiwoo held up his hands and Ares placed a ribbon in each, touching them with his finger.

Instantly, the ribbons adhered to Jiwoo's wrists.

Then, Ares repeated the process on Jiwoo's ankles.

Jiwoo looked at the ribbons on his wrists and ankles and asked curiously. "What is this?"

Ares smiled and replied, "Gravity x2."

Jiwoo could feel his body getting much heavier because of the gravity tapes.

Kayden smiled and said. "With the following training, you will greatly improve your ability to accelerate, decelerate and change direction. You will also strengthen your endurance, muscles and joints."

"Through weight training, you will learn to use your powers more efficiently and avoid wasting energy unnecessarily," Ares added.

Jiwoo moved around, analyzing his body and experimenting with the new sensation of weight.

"Practice on the punching bag. You must become an expert in hand-to-hand combat in the shortest time possible," Ares instructed.

Jiwoo nodded and stood in front of the punching bag, while Kayden, in his cat form, positioned himself to the side, and Ares watched from behind.

"Begin," Kayden said seriously.

Jiwoo threw a punch and was surprised to realize that he needed much more energy than usual to get the same result. He looked at Kayden searching for an explanation.

However, Kayden looked at him seriously and said. "What are you looking at? Hit harder and faster."

A shiver ran through Jiwoo's body, and he quickly replied. "Yes, sir."

Ares and Kayden smiled as they watched Jiwoo hit with greater speed and force.

Slowly, Jiwoo began to hit the punching bag with a steady rhythm, while Kayden pointed out his mistakes and openings during the punches, and Jiwoo corrected them on the spot.

Thirty minutes later, Jiwoo was sweating profusely, his forehead soaked and his clothes wet. His strokes became slower and weaker.

"What are you doing. Hit harder. Your punches are weak and slow. Is this how you plan to beat your opponents?" reproached Kayden.

Jiwoo's face reflected despair and exhaustion as he tried his best to regain his strength and speed.

After continuing to hit the bag for a few more moments, Kayden said. "Finish."

Jiwoo looked intently at the punching bag, and his fist began to charge with electricity as he punched with his maximum speed.

The bag jerked and froze.

"Well done, get some rest," Kayden congratulated.

Jiwoo fell to the ground, breathing heavily as he tried to recover.

"Now, focus on circulating your force control," Ares indicated seriously.

Jiwoo adopted a meditative stance and began to circulate his force control.

After a short break, the training continued for another hour and a half.

At the end of the workout, Jiwoo walked up the stairs barely leaning against the wall, dripping sweat on the floor.

He headed off to take a shower and get ready for school.

....

Wooin and Jiwoo walked through the classroom door, chatting happily.

Three girls looked at Jiwoo in awe, captivated by his newfound beauty and change of attitude.

Jiwoo and Wooin took their seats, and suddenly Subin walked through the door.

The students present were surprised by Subin's beauty and her presence in their classroom. They were not sure who she was.

"Subin, what are you doing here?" Jiwoo asked.

The students were taken aback. The three girls would start whispering, curious about Jiwoo's connection with Subin.

Jiwoo spoke with Subin for a while, and then the teacher arrived, discovering that Jisuk was also in his class.

The class passed quickly, and as they were about to leave the school, they were intercepted by a young man with very short dark blond hair and black eyes. Seokcheol stood in front of Jisuk, blocking his path.

"Who are you?" Jisuk asked, his face twisted in anger.

"I am Seokcheol. I'm sure you know me. Why do you always avoid me during the winter vacations? Are you afraid of me?" Seokcheol said.

"Who the hell are you, get lost!" Jisuk replied angrily.

"Let's go fight. I've been looking for you for a long time," Seokcheol challenged.

Jisuk grabbed Seokcheol by the neck and gave him a knee strike in the stomach, knocking him unconscious and lying on the ground.

"Get lost. I have no idea who you are," Jisuk said, continuing on his way, with the men accompanying Seokcheol clearing a path, allowing Jisuk to walk away.

Jiwoo, Subin and Wooin slowly followed him.

[At night, in the territory of Shinhwa]

At the top of the imposing building, an enigmatic man with dark violet hair and black eyes gazed at the dazzling city spread out before his eyes. The wind caressed his face as his gaze was lost in the horizon.

Suddenly, a mysterious man, with a mane of even deeper violet hues, descended from the heavens and knelt silently behind him.

"Have you found any clue to my father?" asked Suman Kang in a controlled tone, making clear his interest and determination to discover the truth.

Having concluded his conversation and revealed his true intentions, Suman walked away and moved nimbly, jumping from rooftop to rooftop of the surrounding houses. Suddenly, he decided to stop on one of the rooftops and was perplexed to observe a young man smashing concrete and street grates with sheer brute force.

Suman watched him with marked interest, as a question arose in his mind. 'Could he be an awakened one?'
