[58] "Electricity against telekinesis"

An intense electric blue aura envelops the cat, generating an explosion of dazzling light.

Dr. Delein, startled by the spectacle, covers his eyes, stunned by the glare.

Streetlight bulbs throughout the neighborhood explode simultaneously, a roar of shattering glass is heard everywhere.

"How can you idiots make such a racket without securing your surroundings?" says Kayden disdainfully as he performs a finger snap that creates a spatial isolation field.

Dr. Delein, perplexed by the spatial isolation, observes his surroundings and then the man closely, trying to decipher his identity and intentions.

"Who are you?" asks Dr. Delein cautiously.

The young man smiles arrogantly, reveling in Dr. Delein's confusion. "Who am I...don't you know me?" he replies in a mocking tone.

Dr. Delein takes a detailed look at the young man and thinks. 'That enormous amount of electricity and power... Could it be him, But... How can he be in a place like this?".

"I can only think of one person...," he mutters to himself.

Suddenly, a faint voice booms in Dr. Delein's ears like a storm, "Mr... Kay... den...".

"Is that you?" asks Jiwoo with difficulty, struggling to articulate the words.

Kayden gives him a reassuring smile and nods, silently confirming his identity.

"Are you really him?" asks Dr. Delein, feeling a cold sweat break out on his forehead. "Kayden Break?"

Kayden flashes a smile that reflects some contempt and replies with disdain, "Exactly...".

Kayden, with a serious and angry tone, reproaches him. "Don't you think you went too far by getting involved in the combat of these young men?"

Delein, sweating nervously, asks. "Do you know this boy?"

Kayden, with a smirk on his face, replies. "Do I know him?"

"Since we've interfered, shouldn't you show these youngsters a real fight?" suggests Kayden with a mischievous grin, releasing his aura.

Delein looks at him trembling and replies. "No need... If I had known you knew this young man, I wouldn't have intervened...".

"Really? Well, it's too late for that. I know this young man and I cannot allow you to interfere as you please in the battle of these children," Kayden states arrogantly and then adds angrily. "You attacked someone you shouldn't have."

He raises his hand and electricity crackles.

Delein gestures desperately for them not to fight and says. "No, wait...".

Kayden, with his menacing attitude and a cold stare, sentences. "Die... I don't have all day to waste on you."

A powerful bolt of electricity descends from the sky and hits Delein hard, generating a spectacular impact.

The intensity of the attack perplexes Wooin and Jiwoo, who are dumbfounded as they witness Dr. Delein's charred, kneeling body.

"Argh... argh...," Delein breathes heavily.

"Ohh... You didn't die and you held on. Unbelievable... I underestimated you. I just have to use more energy," Kayden says, discovering more electricity in his hand.

At that moment, a young man with glasses and short black hair interferes and stands in front of Delein, looking with a serious face at Kayden.

"Who are you, kid?" asks Kayden with contempt.

"Please... Excuse the professor," Wooin says with difficulty, he was still disoriented.

"Professor?.... That's why you're getting in the way," Kayden deduces, frowning.

Kayden's face turned ugly and in an angry voice he said. "Get out of the way, kid. If you don't want to die with him."

A weak voice made Kayden tremble.

"Mister Kayden... there's no need for you to go on." said Jiwoo.

Delein stood up with difficulty and Wooin looked at Jiwoo in astonishment.

"What do you mean don't go on?" asked Kayden.

"Can't you see your condition? If I hadn't intervened, you would surely be dead this instant, I told you that the awakened world is not the same as the normal world," replied Kayden.

Jiwoo, with a sad face, said. "I know... I was a fool, but I don't want you to kill people because of me. Just him being with me is enough. Wooin is my friend at school."

The atmosphere became tense and a cheerful voice broke the tension.

"Mr. Kayden, you shouldn't worry so much. I don't think it's that big of a deal. Even if they find us, nothing will happen," Jiwoo said with a smile on his face.

Kayden's face became serious and he slapped Jiwoo's head, saying angrily. "Nothing will happen, you got me involved in a matter I shouldn't have been involved in. You know what it means, I told you that you make easy enemies with other awakened people and from what these two clowns said, they are being pursued by an organization."

Delein and Wooin looked stunned.

Jiwoo closed his eyes and groaned weakly in pain. "Mr. Kayden, that may be.... But with the great Kayden on my side, I shouldn't be afraid," he said trying to reassure Kayden.

Kayden looked very proudly at Jiwoo and said. "Jiwoo, you finally know how great I am."

"Yeah, it was amazing, the strength you showed..." said Jiwoo excitedly.

Kayden laughed unhingedly and said very proudly. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Boy, you know how to recognize talent, and that barely showed a small part of my power!"

Delein and Wooin stared open-mouthed at the conversation between the two of them.

Delein sneezed, and Kayden stopped laughing and glared at him menacingly.

Kayden's face changed, and he said irritably. "Hold still, boy, you've got a lot of injuries.... It will take a couple of days for your wounds to heal and a week for your bones to heal."

'What a weird attitude Kayden and Jiwoo have and Jiwoo is a bit... innocent,' Wooin thought inwardly as Delein nodded.

The main figure, who seems to lead the group, surveys the messy place and orders the others. "Check the surroundings quickly." said Sheonha Park.

"Yes, Mr. Park," the other hooded men reply, and disappear from the sight of the man who seems to lead the operation.

Meanwhile, Seongha Park walks further into the lab and looks around in surprise and thinks. 'Have they left already, but according to the information we investigated they should still be here.'

The office door opened abruptly, taking Jiyoung Yoo by surprise. Immediately, Inhyuk burst in with obvious signs of concern on his face.

"President, we have corroborated that there has been a clash in our territory," Inhyuk announced.

Jiyoung raised an intrigued eyebrow. Without wasting a second, Inhyuk hurriedly handed her a tablet, which showed a blurry photo in which four people were clearly distinguishable. Two adult men were in the foreground, while behind them were two young boys.

"These images were taken from cameras in the area," Inhyuk explained.

"You don't get to see who they are very well," Jiyoung demonstrates, putting the tablet aside to look at Inhyuk.

"Yes, chairwoman. Although the people in the first image are not clearly distinguishable, let me show you two other images," Inhyuk said quickly as he switched images on the tablet. Two new images were displayed on the screen.

Jiyoung carefully examined the photo that showed fragments of the street that were burned.

"They have tried to remove all the trace, but they couldn't and from the burn... it can be evidenced that it wasn't from fire," Inhyuk explained.

"Mmm... Electricity?" asked Jiyoung.

"Yes, I think the one who fought was Kayden," replied Inhyuk with concern.

"With who?" asked Jiyoung.

"From what we found out, we think with Dr. Delein. The union entered our territory and headed to Dr. Delein's lab, but we couldn't find him, we are still searching," reported Inhyuk.

Jiyoung kept silent as his eyes fell on the other photo, which showed two visibly injured young men. One of them had cream-colored hair, while the other sported black hair and wore glasses.

"Do you know who these two young men are?" asked Jiyoung.

"Ma'am, the young man with black hair and glasses is Dr. Delein's student and the other one I don't know who he is, but we assume he is the boy behind Kayden," Inhyuk replied.

Jiyoung laid the photo carefully on his desk and plunged into his thoughts, trying to connect the dots and understand the situation as a whole.

"President...," Inhyuk said faintly.

Jiyoung looked up, snapping out of her reverie. "Yes...?" he replied.

"The two young men attend the same school as Jisuk..." revealed Inhyuk.

"Hide this information and make sure it doesn't leak out that Kayden is here," Jiyoung instructed earnestly, aware of the importance of keeping the event hidden.

"Yes, president..." replied Inhyuk obediently, assimilating the orders and their importance.

"I will personally take care of this situation and the union so that nothing goes wrong," Inhyuk assured.

Jiyoung nodded with approval. "I trust you will do well, Inhyuk. Keep me informed of any developments."
