55 [51] "World Awakened Academy Part 3"

Garrith approaches Ares with a concerned gesture and says. "Ares, the students have nothing to do with any differences they may have with the teachers."

Ares, with his menacing aura, replies coolly. "Your teachers attacked me. I just wanted to talk to you, why are you attacking me, shouldn't you consider it a provocation?"

Garrith, trying to remain calm, replies. "I apologize if you were attacked, but you must understand the situation. You entered my academy without permission."

Ares seems to understand and replies. "I understand, don't worry. I won't kill any students from your school, we only attack the awakened with whom we have conflicts."

Garrith looks surprised. "Someone from my school messed with you?".

Ares nods. "Yeah, well, not with me, but I came so I could talk. Wouldn't you like to talk somewhere else or would you prefer here?"

Garrith hesitates for a moment and decides to go somewhere else.

Garrith thought, 'Yeah? But not with me? Talk somewhere else? This guy wants to fight.'

Then he said aloud. 'Well, let's go somewhere else,' waiting for Ares to move.

Ares smiled and went somewhere else.

Garrith noticed that all the students were unconscious for a moment and then they saw a few teachers approaching with nervous faces in the distance.

"Headmaster, many guards and teachers appear to be dead. We counted that there are hundreds of casualties," reported a concerned teacher.

Garrith's face changed instantly. "Take the students to the infirmary and concentrate on protecting them. I'll take care of the rest," though without waiting for a response, and he disappeared in the direction Ares had gone.

The three teachers looked at him in surprise as he walked away.

One of them reacted and said. "Let's not waste any more time. One of us should go get the sick and the rest of us should look for people to help transport the wounded and give them good medical attention."

Garrith reached a plain where Ares was waiting for him.

"Ares, don't you think you've gone too far?" asked Garrith very angrily.

"What do you mean?" asked Ares puzzled.

"You think that by killing hundreds of teachers and guards at my institution, you're going to get me to believe everything else you say?" said Garrith with an angry, but calm expression.

Ares raised an eyebrow in surprise. 'Edward killed the professors?" he asked incredulously.

"Don't worry, I give you my word that I will not allow harm to come to any of your teachers who are not involved in this," Ares said with seriousness in his tone of voice.

"Why should I believe you?" questioned Garrith, clearly distrustful of Ares' words.

"Because if it was my intention to hurt your students or teachers, I would have already done so during the meeting where I found you. You should know that I have my own rules and my own code of conduct," Ares replied emotionlessly, displaying an arrogant attitude

Garrith seemed to be thinking about Ares' words before speaking again. "I'll believe you for now, but if I find out that there have been more victims in my institution, I'll hunt you down no matter how long it took," he threatened sternly.

"As you wish," Ares said indifferently.

"Okay, now what do you want to talk about?" asked Garrith, already impatient to know what this was all about.

Ares looked disgruntled as he spoke. "Of course I came here to fight someone who is said to have power comparable to the top ten awakened in the world rankings, but I notice you don't have your bird with you," he expressed in a voice full of desire.

"Yes, that's right, I don't have it here," Garrith replied, astonished by Ares' holding.

"You really are careless not to have your familiar near you. It would be so easy to kill you like this," Ares continued, without losing his arrogant attitude.

Garrith frowned. "It's not very comfortable to always have him here. Besides, who would dare attack the world awakened academy?" he defended himself.

"HAHAHA!" it's true! Looks like I'm the only crazy one who would," Ares replied with a wry smile.

"Sure," Garrith said in total agreement. But in his mind he hoped. 'This guy is crazy.'

Suddenly, arcs of light appeared around Ares' hand.

"Let's have some fun," Ares said as he raised his hand wrapped in light towards Garrith.

Suddenly, a huge beam of light shot towards Garrith.

'But... what a crazy fucker,' Garrith thought as he generated a shield around his body to protect himself.

Ares' attack slammed into the shield, covering it completely and continuing on its way, destroying several buildings in the area.

When the dust cleared, Garrith appeared in perfect condition, with both hands he uncovered a shield around his body.

"Not bad. I thought without your beast you'd be garbage," Ares said, acknowledging Garrith's skill.

Garrith stared at him, thinking to himself. 'This guy is a complete lunatic.'

Garrith directed his hands towards Ares and launched a powerful energy attack.

'That's it,' Ares said as he launched another bolts of light to defend himself.

The two attacks collided in the center and exploded forming a huge explosion.

"That's it?" asked Ares with a smile.

Garrith felt irritated. "What more do you want?"

Ares smiled as beams of light were generated in the sky and descended at high speed on Garrith.

Garrith calmly watched the lightning in the sky and when it descended, he counterattacked and defended with a shield.

A loud return and sound ensued.

Garrith's figure emerged from the smoke in perfect condition, only the sleeve of his clothes a little burned.

Garrith raised an eyebrow and said. "Did you dawdle long enough?"

"Not really, but it's boring to defeat you without you using your power to the fullest," Ares said arrogantly.

....

[Harold's place]

I descend from the sky and quickly see another figure do the same.

I look happily at Fjord and say "I didn't expect you to dare follow me".

Fjord replies "Of course I would follow you after all you entered the academy without permission", the vice principal said.

I don't wait any longer and quickly throw several icicles made of very sharp and strong threads.

The vice principal quickly defends himself by launching several attacks, which are pierced and continue their course towards him. The vice principal has to create a shield which is hit by the sharp attacks and they slowly cross the shield.

"Shit...", says the vice director.

The vice director covers the icicles with his energy and destroys them showing great control of his power. And he quickly moves in several directions, launching several energy attacks towards me.

I create several thread barriers to defend myself.

A silence forms in the atmosphere and two of us stare at each other head on.

"Not bad..." I say.

The vice director doesn't change his face, still serious as a rose. 'I thought he wasn't that strong.'

I laugh when I see that he doesn't respond.

On the fingers of my two hands strings shoot out towards the ground and slowly three puppets with humanoid bodies form.

"Let's see how much you can resist," I say to the vice director as I control the three puppets and direct them towards Fjord.

The surprised vice director launches several attacks towards the puppets and me, but they are all easily dodged and in a second Fjord has in front of him three humanoid figures throwing a punch at him.

In desperation he throws three punches that collide with the punches of the puppets, cracking the ground. Fjord recoils and thinks dumbfounded 'What a tough puppet, I thought that punch would destroy it'.

I direct the puppets to surround the vice principal.

The puppets from three different directions quickly approach the vice principal and he launches several attacks, which hit the puppets without doing any damage, continuing on their way towards him. He receives three powerful blows to his body.

Blood comes out of his mouth and three more blows are about to hit him, when a huge explosion is released from his body, generating a huge shockwave.

The puppets recoil from the impact, cracking his body a little.

Fjord will react quickly by backing up and launching powerful attacks towards the puppet behind him, destroying it with difficulty.

He faces me and the two remaining puppets.

A little surprised I say "It's been a while since they destroyed a puppet of mine, it's the least I expected from the vice director of the world awakened academy".

Then Fjord wipes the blood off his face with his hand.

Harold replies. "I guess you don't have much stamina, I figured we'll have a showdown that would satisfy both of us."

Fjord looks at him with an angry look and his eyes show a huge murderous intent. "HAROLD...," I shout back.

At that moment, a figure descends from the sky and stands next to Harold.

Fjord looks at the new figure in detail to try to figure out who it is.

He looks at the figure and says "Edward, are you done?".

"Yes, we can go, I'll be done with them," Edward replies emotionlessly.

Fjord was quite surprised to see Edward and I think to myself. 'Edward Whitehead.... The Punisher. was he here too? So there weren't just two intruders, but three'.

'We must go, let's not waste any more of our time,' Edward says.

The puppets disappear, which relieves Fjord.

Then he turns to me and says. "You are lucky, vice principal, that we can no longer entertain ourselves. I hope the next time we meet we can pick things up where we left off" with a smile on his face.

Finally, Edward and Harold leave in search of Ares.

And as they leave, I hear a voice say to me. 'No one wants to see you again...'

....

[Where Ares]

Two figures descended from the sky and stood to the right and left of Ares.

Garrith discovered in surprise the two figures that had just arrived.

He recognized one of them as Edward Whitehead. "I didn't know he was in this place too," Garrith thought to himself.

"I'm done, we can retire," Edward said without paying attention to Garrith. Ares nodded and said goodbye to Garrith.

"I have to retire, I hope we meet soon," Ares said.

"I don't expect that," Garrith replied directly.

Ares let out a chuckle before leaving without another word.

The three of them leave the academy.

Garrith demonstrated in the direction they had gone. 'To think that such an incident could ever happen,' he thought to himself.

'I'll have to be very vigilant for a while. I hope there won't be those excessive casualties. Although he said words, it is almost impossible to hide this incident. This will concern and alert several organizations that have their members in this institution."

Suddenly, a voice spoke in Garrith's mind. {Beware of Frame and vice principal Garrith Luterain}.

Garrith recognized the voice as that of Ares.

'Can Ares speak telepathically?' wondered Garrith.

'And what does he mean by beware of Frame? Does he have information that Frame is plotting against my academy? If that's true, I can't let it happen.'

Garrith analyzed Ares' words in his head for a few minutes until Fjord arrived.

Garrith saw Fjord in a very bad state, his hair disheveled and his clothes dirty and torn.

"Director have they left yet?" asked Fjord.

"Yes, they're gone," replied Garrith placing his hands behind his back.

"Go get treatment," said Garrith worriedly.

"Don't worry, vice principal, I'm fine. It was just a small injury in my confrontation against Harold," Fjord replied with a smile on his face.

"Then, vice principal, I think it's convenient for you to be here at this time. Go help the students," Garrith said in a serious voice as he walked away from the scene.

Fjord changed his friendly expression to one of dissatisfaction and anger as he watched Garrith leave.
