[41] "Silvia's little demonstration of power"

[The next day]

Ares is lying on a bed covered in bandages.

After opening his eyes, he looks at his bandage-covered wounds and comments. "It wasn't necessary to do that, I'll heal fast with my healing factor." Ares gets up with difficulty, opens the door and walks out of the room.

Rebecca and Silvia watch him leave the room.

Rebecca greets Ares with a not so pleasant face and says, "You woke up."

Ares asks. "I guess something happened while I wasn't conscious, how long have I been in a coma?".

Rebecca replies, "Not long, just a few hours."

Ares realizes that something important happened in the last few hours and asks "What happened?".

Sylvia replies nonchalantly, "We ran into some awakened ones."

Ares asks. "So what's the problem?".

Rebecca answers uneasily. "We understand that they came looking for you when they learned that you were probably not in good shape and apparently they belong to the Italian mafia."

Ares asks if they confronted them and Rebecca confirms that they killed them all.

Ares replies nonchalantly. "It doesn't matter what happened. They were looking for me anyway, it's only a matter of time before we come into conflict."

Silvia, unconcerned, adds. "We killed some wimpy flies."

Rebecca looks at Silvia in astonishment at her comment.

[Rebecca's flashback]

In a house, Silvia and Rebecca were chatting when suddenly, Silvia, who was lying down, stood up with a serious expression on her face.

"What's wrong, Silvia?" asked Rebecca with concern.

"I feel several auras in the distance," said Silvia.

"Are they coming this way?" asked Rebecca.

"No, they are far away for now, but if they search this sector, sooner or later they will find us," warned Silvia.

"What do we do? Ares is still unconscious," said Rebecca, sensing that the situation was delicate.

"Of course we're going to fight. I'll take care of them," Silvia said with great self-confidence.

Rebecca was shocked to see Silvia stand up and stare at her. "Are you sure?" she asked.

"Yes, they are not as strong as you think. Open a portal to go," Silvia commanded as she climbed onto Rebecca's shoulders.

Rebecca nodded and created a blue spiral that appeared before them. The two entered the portal and disappeared from the house.

A few hundred miles further, a portal appeared and from it emerged a woman and a white dragon.

At the top of a building, four figures felt a shiver run through their bodies and turned nervously as they watched a woman and a white dragon appear out of nowhere in a dark blue spiral.

"Who are you people?" one of the men asked cautiously.

Just as Rebecca was about to speak, Silvia unleashed a grayish celestial light that enveloped the environment, sealing and transforming everything around her into an exquisite crystalline structure.

"(Crystal world)"

The four men were perplexed as they surveyed their surroundings, their eyes widening as they became aware of the surreal scene unfolding before them. However, they quickly averted their gaze to the beast, capturing their full attention.

Rebecca is also dumbfounded, not knowing how to react to Silvia's display of power.

Has she used her power of space isolation?" asks one of the men.

"We're from Letta's mafia, I hope we won't have any trouble, we're just here looking for someone," says another man trying to defuse the situation.

"You are in my territory, entering without permission is a declaration of war," replies a female voice.

The men fix their gaze on Rebecca, who remains silent, while Silvia watches them indifferently.

The men realize that the beast can speak and are dumbfounded.

"Does the animal talk?" asks the most surprised man.

"Yes, I can talk," replies Silvia calmly.

Rebecca, fully aware of the growing tension saturating the atmosphere, acted with alacrity. Extending her hands toward the people, she channeled their energy and shaped a barrier. In a magical burst, chains and locks emerged, enveloping the barrier with an impenetrable appearance.

"Well done!" says Silvia.

The figures trapped inside the barrier look at each other angrily and threateningly. One of them, visibly irritated, speaks to Rebecca in a contemptuous tone, "Little girl, you don't know who you're messing with."

The others sit down and prepare for a possible battle, while Silvia and Rebecca wait patiently to see what will happen next.

"JEJEJEJEJE, threatening when you're in someone else's territory, that's pretty stupid," said Silvia as glass needles appeared everywhere, surrounding the men.

"Shit..." exclaimed one of the men as he saw the crystal needles appear around him.

"Defend yourselves!" someone shouted, as the four figures generated a shield of celestial energy to cover themselves.

The needles' attack proved devastating. In an instant, three of the protective shields crumbled like paper and the needles relentlessly penetrated the bodies of the three men, ending their lives instantly.

A feeling of panic seized the last survivor, who, in desperation, unleashed an explosion of impressive proportions that spread from his body outward, shattering the needles that had not yet pierced his skin.

Fortunately, the barrier created by Rebecca withstood the impact and suffered only minimal cracks.

After a few tense seconds, the glass on the floor was restored to its original state, flawlessly intact, while the man remained kneeling, his body scarred by wounds and burns.

"I guess you're the strongest of the four of us, but nothing more than that," said Silvia by way of mockery.

Rebecca was amazed at the power displayed by Silvia and thought to herself. 'So easy it was to defeat them and from the looks of it it didn't take Silvia long to create the crystal world.'

Rebecca clasped her hands together and the barrier shrank and disappeared.

"Well done, Rebecca. We have to wipe out any awakened we encounter. We can't let our position be revealed," Silvia said firmly.

Rebecca disagreed and asked. "Isn't it better to be missing? Then they won't come to investigate the area."

Silvia thought for a second before answering. "No, it's better to wipe them all out. That's what Ares always does, and so do I."

[Current time]

"Silvia finished with them and they are from Letta's mafia" said Rebecca, worried.

"Letta's mafia?" asked Ares, trying to remember who they were.

"Yes, they are an Italian mafia organization and their leader is Ezio Letta," explained Rebecca.

"Ezio Letta...sounds familiar," Ares mused.

"He's in the top 20 in the world rankings," Rebecca reported.

"Interesting...", Ares replied with a smile.

"Do you think he's coming for you?" asked Silvia, concerned for her friend's safety.

"If he does, I'll be ready to fight," Ares answered with determination.

"But you're still injured, you shouldn't risk it," Rebecca argued.

"Ares has always been a brave fighter, he won't give up so easily," said Silvia in support of her friend.

"Of course not! If I find him, I won't let this great opportunity pass me by," Ares assured confidently.

"I can't with you, do what you want," Rebecca said, angered by Ares' stubbornness.
