32 [30] "Long Family Part 2"
The flames were stopped by the shield, and the angel, with its other hand, directed a huge lance towards the dragon in the sky.
The lance cut through the dragon's scales, leaving a large wound.
"Shit... How is it possible that my great defense can be destroyed?" Long Wu exclaimed, astonished.
Ares didn't give Long Wu time to recover. With a movement of his hand, the angel struck the dragon's face with the shield, stunning it, and his lance cut off one of the dragon's legs.
Long Wu lamented as he watched in astonishment as one of his limbs fell.
"This won't end like this," he said, looking at Ares, who was covered by a massive angel.
The enormous dragon moved at incredible speed and bit into the angel's body, throwing it to the ground and colliding with a mountain, destroying it.
The dragon's jaws began to burn with terrifying fire, releasing it near Ares' body. He raised his hands to form a barrier of light in an attempt to counter the fire.
"Hahaha, burn... suffer, it's what you deserve," Long Wu laughed maniacally.
"It should be you who dies," said a person who emerged from the fire with a severely burned arm. With incredible speed, they appeared on the dragon's chest and cut it with the lance.
A large amount of blood spilled onto the ground. "Argh... Argh..." the dragon groaned.
In their left hand, the person held a ray of light that pierced through the dragon's body. The enormous dragon's lifeless body fell to the ground.
"Phew... Phew... That was entertaining. I think I went too far," Ares said.
The dragon shrank in size, and an elderly man with a deep chest wound, a hole in his stomach, and a missing arm appeared before it.
Ares approached Long Wu slowly. "Tell me where the true dragon's blood is located," he asked with a threatening voice.
"Hehehe, to think I would die at the hands of a child," Long Wu said.
Ares repeated his question, not pleased. "Only the family leader knows where the dragon's blood is. I won't tell you," Long Wu said before beheading himself.
Long Wu's head rolled and fell at Ares' feet. "You're a fool. Do you really think that by dying, I won't find what I'm looking for?" Ares said as he picked up Long Wu's head with one hand and covered a part of his eyes and head with the other. "Let's see what I can find in your memory."
Ares is transported to Long Wu's memory, where he can see how he learned to control his strength and how he improved it over the years. Finally, he discovers where the dragon's blood is hidden.
"Who would have thought, something so valuable was hidden in plain sight. That's why the Long family didn't worry if spies searched for the ancestral hall of the family," Ares laughed.
"Hahaha, who would have thought? It was hidden within the body of the family patriarch," he added.
Ares put his foot on Long Wu's body, and a ray of light completely erased Long Wu's body, even evaporating his blood. But a drop of intensely red blood did not disappear and emitted immense power.
"A single drop of original dragon blood is terrifying. I can't imagine how the dragons that lived for thousands of years in ancient times must have been," Ares said.
"It's a shame they went extinct so long ago, but the Long family did a good job hiding it from other Awakened," Ares said.
A woman in a white shirt, black suit, and tie descended from the sky.
"Ares, thank you for killing Long Wu. I took care of the other members of the Long family," Rebecca said.
"Don't worry, we have a common enemy," Ares replied as he stored the blood in a special bottle.
"I'll be busy for a few months, conducting my experiment. What will you do? We know that the destruction of the Long family will cause a lot of upheaval in the world, and because of your connection to me, they will pursue you," Ares said.
Rebecca looked at Ares and thought for a moment. "I would like to follow you. You said you would be busy for a few months. I want to train during that time and be with you," she said.
"Fine, but don't get in the way of my research. It's very important, and I've been preparing for this for many years. I never expected there was something so valuable in the world," Ares said.
"I won't get in your way. Can you tell me what that blood is?" Rebecca asked.
Ares sighed and said, "Do you know how powerful the original dragons were in ancient times, right?"

"Yes, I just need time. Let's go, I can't wait to start my research," Ares said as he disappeared from the place.
"Alright," Rebecca responded, snapping out of her daze and following after Ares.

In a massive Buddhist temple, an old man was meditating, emanating a stunning golden light. Above him, a blurry image of a praying Buddha could be seen.

Teng Zexian opened his eyes, and the sacred aura, along with the Buddha, slowly disappeared, revealing an old man with a normal appearance.
"Teng Xiao, who destroyed them?" Teng Zexian asked.
"Master, from what we have gathered, it was Ares Seo, the Emperor of Light. He completely wiped out the Long family. Some say he was searching for the drop of original dragon blood," Teng Xiao replied.
"Ares Seo destroyed the Long family? The Emperor of Light, that awakened youth with terrifying talent and a disciple of Kayden?" Teng Zexian asked.
"Yes, Master Zexian," said Teng Xiao.
"The blood is no myth. It has remained elusive for countless years. Even when the family leaders were killed, they wouldn't say a word; they would only commit suicide. It was said that when the head dies, they have a special way of telling the next heir where the blood is located so they can protect it," Teng Zexian explained.
"Master, it was said that Ares not only destroyed Long Wu but also eliminated Long Wu's body," Teng Xiao added.
"Well, it doesn't matter. Don't worry about the external matters. Focus on becoming stronger. You are the heir of the Teng family, the next supreme monk. Let the elders handle the world's problems," Teng Zexian said.
"You may leave," he added.

'The only reason the Long family was still alive was because the Awakened held onto the hope that with each generation of patriarch, they would be able to find the drop of blood,' he reflected. 'The destruction of the Long family will cause great disturbances in China. Families and organizations from outside will come to investigate what happened,' he thought.
"Should I contact Qin Shuang?" he wondered and then murmured, "I can't reach out to her grandfather; he's disconnected from the world, training."
"Probably. We will have to make an appearance to deter the awakened ones from the outside," he concluded.

En another area of China, a majestic figure can be seen sitting on a throne with an elegant appearance. Their long black hair falls over their shoulders, and their dark brown eyes radiate an aura of unmatched superiority and grandeur. Their stern face gazes coldly at the person kneeling before them.

"By Ares," the voice said solemnly.
