[28] "Confrontation"
In a moment, Gero Schäfer released a grayish-brown aura that covered the entire island.
(Spatial isolation)
"Let's see what you're made of, kid," said Gero Schäfer.
Gero Schäfer raised his hand and launched several attacks.
"Normal attacks?" Ares said, confused.
"(Light shield)," Ares invoked a golden light shield to protect himself.
"Letting my attacks hit... Are you stupid?" Gero Schäfer said with a big smile.
The attacks reached Ares, colliding against the light shield and causing great destruction in a part of the island.
The light shield remained strong, protecting Ares from Gero Schäfer's attacks.
The dust cleared, revealing Ares.
"Not bad," Ares said with a smile.
'No injuries at all,' Gero Schäfer thought to himself, surprised.
"It's incredible that you're unharmed, but I don't have all day to play with you," Gero Schäfer said.
"Play with me... I decide that," Ares responded defiantly.
Suddenly, Ares disappeared and reappeared in front of Gero Schäfer, who was impressed by his speed.
'What...?' Gero Schäfer thought, astonished.
Ares's fist, wrapped in rays of light, swiftly headed towards Gero Schäfer's body.
'I can't allow that attack to hit me directly,' Gero Schäfer thought, determined to dodge the blow.
(Magnetic barrier)
A brown light materialized in front of Ares, forming a barrier right where his attack would impact.
A loud crash shook the place as the energy collided with the barrier, sending Gero Schäfer flying and destroying a part of the magnificent medieval structure and the trees on the island. Ares looked sadly at the destroyed area in front of him.
"He must have survived, this can't be all," Ares said sadly.
In the distance, Gero Schäfer got up from the ground with his clothes torn and minor injuries on his body. Meanwhile, Gero Schäfer thought to himself, 'A powerful attack. Who would have thought this kid would be so strong. This is a problem, I probably won't be able to defeat him if I use all my strength, and with Kayden watching from afar, it's very likely I won't make it out of here alive.'
Gero Schäfer walked towards Ares.
"Oh... so you're still alive. Thank goodness, I thought you were already dead," Ares said with shining eyes, looking at Gero Schäfer.
Gero Schäfer trembled at Ares' response and said, "From what I knew, Kayden was crazy, but now that I know you, you're much crazier than him."
Ares paid no attention to Gero's comments and simply said, "I have no time to waste."
"(Magnetic field)"
The battlefield is covered with a dark field of energy as Gero Schäfer relentlessly approaches Ares, who watches him with interest as his opponent moves with a powerful and menacing aura about twenty meters away.
Ares observed the scene with a devilish smile on his face and said, 'HEHEHEHE, this is what I want.'
"(Opposite poles)"
Suddenly, two enormous brown spheres with a gray center appeared at a distance of 10 meters from Ares.
Gero Schäfer showed a devilish smile and said, "Let's see how cocky you are after you die."
Ares looked on in astonishment as the two spheres spun in opposite directions, growing larger and attracting all nearby objects.
The magnetic force of the spheres grew stronger, dangerously approaching him.
He knew he had to retreat to avoid being trapped inside, but it seemed too late. As he tried to distance himself from the spheres, Gero Schäfer intervened with a magnificent smile on his face, preventing his escape.
The spheres increased their speed and moved towards Ares at an incredible velocity, feeling that the magnetic force was so strong that it prevented him from moving.
'Shit! I can't move! How can it attract so much?' Ares thought in amazement.
Ares raised both hands, colliding with the two spheres of magnetism. Suddenly, two enormous rays of light shot out from his hands, aimed at the center of the spheres.
The spheres absorbed the rays of light, and gradually, Ares began to disappear.
The two spheres slowly collided with each other, generating a massive explosion that split the island in half.
"Hahaha, did you see that, Kayden?" Gero Schäfer said, laughing wildly.
Kayden, surprised from a distance, thinks, 'An impressive attack, but that won't be enough to defeat him.'
In the large rift formed by the division of the island, the sea begins to churn, and a figure appears with tattered clothes and a body covered in blood.
He has the appearance of a demon and is enveloped in intense golden light, emitting a terrifying aura.
Ares stares intently at Gero Schäfer.
"How is this possible?. How did you withstand that attack?" Gero Schäfer said, trembling.
"Well, it wasn't enough. I must say, your attack caught me by surprise. I never imagined an old man like you could display such immense power. And it seems that's not your limit," replied Ares arrogantly in the sky.
Ares' energy continues to grow as the island trembles more and more.
Trembling in his position, Gero Schäfer realizes the magnitude of Ares' power, knowing there is no escape.
"Don't kill me, I'm a member of Frame," said Gero Schäfer fearfully.
The golden light above them begins to rapidly expand, covering the entire island.
The sky of the island started to be tinged with gold, and a mantle of light rays created a cloud above them.
'Frame?... Hmm... Spatial separation won't withstand Ares' attack. It's highly likely that the island will disappear,' said Kayden in the distance.
"There won't be anything left," said Ares from the sky.
(Rain of light rays)
A rain of light rays fell from the sky, completely destroying the island. The fragments of the island slowly sank, disappearing into the sea.
Ares descended upon a person covered in a blue light.
"How are you? Don't you think you went a bit too far? Destroying an entire island?" said Kayden calmly.
Ares responded indifferently, "Well, it was just a mishap in battle. Besides, since we were in hiding, it won't affect anyone."
However, Kayden seemed more concerned about something else. "Did you hear what Gero Schäfer said?" he asked.
"Yes, is he a member of Frame?" Ares replied.
"Exactly," confirmed Kayden.
But Kayden didn't seem worried. "No need to worry. Nobody knows who is a member of Frame. If they attack us, we'll wipe them off the map."
With great confidence, he added, "Moreover, it would be a good opportunity to accept my challenge and face one of the top 10 from Frame."
Ares seemed to agree, "Yes, a war would be good. We could fight against more powerful awakened individuals."
"Well, let's leave this place. It's priceless," concluded Kayden.
And so, the two individuals disappeared from the location.
