[15] "Devil v/s Angel"

[One week later]

[In different parts of the world]

Braulio commented, "Once again, it's 1 against 2. He's crazier than his master. Does he only accept battles where he's at a disadvantage?"

Ezequiel responded, "He's a complete destroyer, his awakened power of light is as immense as that of an emperor, but he represents death with a thirst for killing anyone who stands in his way."

Ruben added, "He has healing abilities, super speed, and light manipulation. He's a fully awakened being in every aspect, and he has no apparent weaknesses."

Roger warned, "We cannot allow him to continue growing. In a few years, he could kill anyone he wants without a care, and no one will be able to stop him."

Bernardo added, "Wherever there's disaster, chaos, and death, he appears."

At the World Academy of Awakened, the situation was not good. Six people were seated around a table, discussing.

Lucy, visibly angry, said, "I survived."

Matthew asked, "What did those two fools do? They couldn't even win 2 against 1."

Frank admitted, "We underestimated him. He's much stronger than we thought."

The Vice Director commented, "He might have a power comparable to those in the top 50, perhaps."

Terry said, "Next time, he won't get away unscathed."

Lucy ordered, "Contact all the world's top-ranked individuals willing to undertake a mission to kill someone. This time, he must end up dead or severely wounded and incurable. There's no other possibility."

Frank showed his evident anger and rage, "Do everything possible to get as many as you can, so we ensure he disappears forever."

Matthew asked, "Do we have any candidates?"

Lucy responded, "Yes, these are the potential candidates: TOP 70 Fulgencio Haro; TOP 69 Yolanda Mera; TOP 68 Erik Colomèrs; TOP 67 Lucia Rivero; TOP 66 Aurelio Garles; TOP 65 Avelina Sáenz; TOP 64 Jacobo Barrio; TOP 63 Asier Bosch; TOP 62 Joel Betancourt; TOP 61 Álvaro Vizcaíno; and TOP 60 Claudio Corrales."

Matthew said, "Do everything possible to get as many as you can, so we ensure he disappears forever."

Garis Luteroine, concerned about the situation, reflected, 'This is becoming very troublesome. Karen responded, "I heard a rumor that the top 14 is looking for him. Apparently, he has caused quite a stir in their territory."

Mark asked, "Has he accepted the challenge from that demon named Kayden Break?"

Timothy warned, "He's insane. All the opponents who have fought against him have been seriously injured or even killed. They are risking their organization for a petty provocation."

Lance asked, "If he manages to defeat the top 14, what will happen? Will he continue challenging other awakened individuals? Will he challenge those in the top 10?"

Timothy replied, "No one accepts his challenges. There are even rumors that he fights awakened individuals from around the world every day just for fun."

Timothy added, "We are about to witness a new storm. Moreover, there have been rumors that Kayden has powers comparable to those in the top 10. Will those in the top 10 accept his challenge if he challenges them in the future, or will they avoid him?"

Suddenly, a sort of spatial isolation covered the five figures.

Timothy looked confused at the spatial isolation and looked around.

"Who could it be?" Lance said in surprise.

Suddenly, a powerful attack took the five awakened individuals by surprise, completely destroying the building.

The five appeared slightly injured all over their bodies as they watched a young man descend from the sky with a diabolical smile.

Lance recognized the newcomer and said, "Is that you, Luz?"

Karen, on the other hand, identified the figure in front of them. "It's Ares."

Timothy, angry, asked, "What are you doing here?"

Mark questioned, "Why are you attacking us?"

Ares laughed and said, "I want to fight you. I heard that you are experts in killing awakened individuals from the world ranking, and I want to see what famous people like you are capable of."

Emily thought to herself, "This maniac. According to the rumors, he's crazier than his master. Now I can confirm if it's true."

Emily responded to Ares, "We are Devil Blood. Do you think we are so easy to defeat? Don't think you can leave here so easily."

Karen added with a powerful killing intent, "Brat, you'll know the trouble you've gotten yourself into. Not just anyone can offend us."

Mark finished by saying, "You'll die here."

"Wave of Death!" Timothy said, releasing a powerful blood-red aura that formed an immense wave of blood directed towards Ares. However, he formed a shield of light that clashed with the attack, causing great destruction.

"Hahaha, how easy," Timothy mocked.

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard, and the entire place shook as a massive golden aura shot in all directions within the red aura.

"Is that all you've got? Disappointing," said Ares, preparing to counterattack with his "Celestial Punishment."

The dark night lit up with golden light as an enormous number of light beams descended from the sky towards the five individuals.

"But do you think I'll let you attack so easily?" Emily said, preparing her counterattack with her "Blood Cannon."

A large amount of blood appeared at Emily's feet and began to rise towards Ares' attack.

The two powerful attacks collided, creating a terrifying destructive shockwave that toppled several buildings within a 20-meter radius.

'Those three couldn't even withstand the shockwave,' said Karen, injured and covered by a shattered blood shield.

"You can't even withstand a measly shockwave? You've disappointed me. I thought that by joining forces, you would be of help, but you're just weaklings," Emily calmly stated, completely unharmed.

"Resisting my attack and being in perfect condition is surprising. Hahaha, I'm going to have a great fight with you, Emily," Ares said with a crazy smile.

"Step back, Karen. You won't survive if you're too close to us, especially with this maniac who won't let you live," Emily said, advancing towards Ares.

"Yes," Karen said, quickly moving away.

Emily jumped, and a powerful red aura appeared on her left fist, while Ares followed suit, jumping and generating a strong golden aura on his right hand.

Their attacks collided, creating a large shockwave that caused flashes and a loud buzzing sound.

Emily descended from the sky and looked at her hand with an evident bleeding wound. "It's been a while since I've been injured. It was quite surprising, Ares Seo."

"Hahaha, it's fun. Let's continue our fight," Ares said, looking at his numbed hand from the impact.

Both of them ran together to the center of the battlefield and clashed their fists, creating a massive wave of destruction.

Explosions reverberated throughout the place.

Intense flashes of light and deafening buzzing filled the air as Ares and Emily exchanged dozens of terrifying blows that destroyed the surrounding structures.

"Let's stop playing around," Ares said excitedly. "Let's settle the confrontation with our most powerful attacks."

"I was thinking the same thing, I was getting bored," Emily replied, releasing an immense red aura. "(Descent of the Devil)," she shouted as a large amount of blood appeared behind her, forming a demon with two enormous horns on its head, wielding a sword and displaying a diabolical smile.

Ares also unleashed his attack: "(Manifestation of the Angel)." A large number of light beams emerged from him as an angel formed above him, with six beautiful wings on its back, holding a gigantic lance in its right hand and a shield in its left hand.

"It's my victory," Ares roared with confidence.

"Don't even dream about it," Emily shouted defiantly.

The roars of an angel and a demon resonated in the area before their attacks collided, creating a terrifying shockwave.

After a few moments, Emily lay on the ground, unconscious with wounds and cuts all over her body. Ares, on the other hand, had severe injuries on his right arm.

"Phew... phew... HAHAHA, what a great confrontation. You deserve to live, Emily. I, Ares, acknowledge that you are a worthy opponent. Whenever you want to challenge me, I will accept your challenge," Ares said, content.

Then, Ares disappeared from the scene, and the buildings in the area returned to their good condition as if nothing had happened.

Karen appeared next to Emily's unconscious body.

"I'm glad he didn't kill you. I'll take you to get healed and recover. There's no way I'll let Emily challenge that maniac again," Karen said hurriedly as she picked up Emily and left the place with astonishing speed.

[Several days after the confrontation]

[POV Ares]

Leaping from building to building on a luminous night, Ares felt an increasingly intense premonition.

He had sensed something ominous for days, but now he was certain that something was about to happen. While he had fully healed from the wounds he sustained in his battle with Emily, he wasn't sure if he was ready to face another top-ranked awakened so soon.

Could it be someone challenging him? He couldn't be sure, but he decided to continue training to be prepared for whatever came his way.

However, his attention was suddenly drawn to a strange phenomenon that encompassed the entire city, spatial isolation.

Amazed, Ares watched as six figures descended from the sky, releasing massive amounts of energy. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. He found himself face to face with six incredibly powerful individuals, all of them wearing sinister smiles as they stared directly at him.
