[135] "Amyeong"

The figure materialized, and before Jiwoo stood a slender man dressed in black. A mask of the same shade concealed much of his face, while his white hair starkly contrasted with his right eye of identical hue and the left one, which plunged into a deep black.

Jiwoo immediately recognized the man before him, and his thoughts raced. 'It's him...'

Amyeong's icy eyes bore into Jiwoo, who immediately assumed a defensive stance.

Amyeong cracked a smile, although his expression was hidden behind the mask. He spoke, breaking the silence. "Last time, we couldn't talk..." He paused before continuing. "Ready to fight at any moment, I can see Kayden's influence on you."

"Who are you?" Jiwoo inquired with seriousness.

Amyeong removed the mask and uttered, "I know your master and your brother." In an instant, his figure vanished.

Jiwoo's eyes widened in astonishment, thinking quickly, 'Super Speed…' as a shadow in front of him transformed into a human figure and launched a punch at him.

The blow hit the air, momentarily confusing Amyeong. He turned and watched as Jiwoo appeared a few meters away. "You're fast... I didn't realize your incredible speed last time," Amyeong admitted.

Jiwoo remained silent, focusing solely on observing him with a serious expression.

Amyeong shook his head and slid his hands into his pockets, conveying an air of indifference. Firmly, he declared, "You're pathetic for your age. You'll be known in the world as Kayden Break's disciple and Ares's younger brother, and... you only possess this strength at your age?"

"You're a disgrace," Amyeong concluded with disdain.

The words momentarily bewildered Jiwoo, and Amyeong seized the moment to strike him in the stomach, sending him backward in the air.

Jiwoo quickly got up and found himself facing several figures that appeared before him, launching attacks filled with murderous intent. Agilely, he dodged the attacks as best as he could, though not without receiving small cuts on his cheek and body.

Seeing that he couldn't stop the ferocity of the attacks, Jiwoo concentrated electricity into both hands. The electrical charge surrounded his hands and extended towards Amyeong, who instantly retreated. However, after a few tense seconds, the electricity did not materialize into any attack, and Jiwoo's wounds began to heal slowly.

Amyeong frowned and smirked. "I see you fooled me..." he commented. Then he turned his head and spoke with even more disdain, "I have too high expectations for you, but you can't even master electricity like your master does. Despite having your brother's healing factor... you disappoint me."

"You don't deserve to be Kayden's disciple. At your age, your brother could take on the awakened in the top 100 of the world rankings and defeat them. You can barely handle Awakened your age... you're a disgrace," Amyeong declared coldly before vanishing from Jiwoo's sight and grabbing him by the neck, lifting him in the air.

Amyeong's fingers tightened around Jiwoo's neck as he held his gaze. "It would be so easy to kill you," he threatened.

Jiwoo didn't take his eyes off Amyeong's icy stare.

Amyeong released Jiwoo and turned, looking towards the forest. "You can come out; your stealth technique sucks," he stated. However, no one emerged, and a smile crossed Amyeong's face before he disappeared.

Deep within the forest, a muscular man with his face concealed by a balaclava and dressed in black observed Amyeong's appearance behind him. He immediately launched a lethal attack that cut through the air, but his eyes widened in shock as he realized his own hand had been severed and fell to the ground.

"Aaaargh," the man screamed as he held his wounded arm, blood dripping from it. Before he could react, Amyeong reappeared and, with swift and precise movements, severed his other three limbs.

Amyeong removed the balaclava from the man, revealing a relatively elderly individual with white hair, pale skin, and gray eyes – the WAA professor.

Blood dribbled from the man's mouth, and he struggled to breathe as he gazed at Amyeong, filled with fear and terror. With a barely audible voice, he uttered, "Amyeong..."

"I see that even with your academy's director present, you're still carrying out covert actions without anyone noticing. However, you're truly pathetic if you think you could harm Kayden's disciple," Amyeong commented coldly. He grabbed the WAA professor's hair and dragged him toward Jiwoo, leaving four lines of blood in his wake.

Jiwoo clutched his neck, displaying a pained expression on his face, and his eyes widened in shock at the scene unfolding before him, a terrifying chill running down his spine, but he didn't step back.

Amyeong approached and tossed the mutilated body of the WAA professor in front of Jiwoo.

Jiwoo stared at it intently, and with a trembling voice, he murmured, "Is he...?"

The WAA professor weakly stated, "Help me," his face reflecting desperation and anguish.

"Yes, he's the WAA professor," Amyeong confirmed.

Jiwoo felt another shiver as he observed the wretched state of the WAA professor. He looked at Amyeong with terror, who spoke to him seriously. "This is how you can end up if you're not strong enough." There was a brief silence before Amyeong continued gravely, "The Awakened are discarded like trash if you can't protect yourself."

Struggling to breathe due to the blood accumulating in his mouth, the professor pleaded with Jiwoo, "Help me..."

Amyeong added, "He was sent to kill you."

Surprise overcame Jiwoo, and he stammered, "What...?"

"Exactly what you heard," Amyeong replied.

Jiwoo silently contemplated the dying man in front of him.

"Kill him," Amyeong instructed.

Jiwoo's face grew even paler, and he looked at Amyeong with fear.

"Finish him," Amyeong said coldly.

With a trembling voice, Jiwoo responded, "I can't..."

"You won't?" Amyeong questioned.

Jiwoo clenched his fist, found his confidence, and affirmed, "I won't kill him..."

However, in an instant, Amyeong crushed the WAA professor's head, splattering blood onto Jiwoo's face.

"You want Kayden and Ares to die..." Amyeong declared with a murderous and icy gaze.

Jiwoo looked at Amyeong, his face paler than ever, but he didn't utter a word.

"They have numerous enemies, but they've grown stronger and have no weaknesses. However, now you... you're their weakness, their vulnerability. Their enemies will use you to bring them down, and you accept that fate," Amyeong stated firmly.

"You can't kill someone who tried to kill you. Do you think you can face the enemies who will come for you with such a weak mindset?" Amyeong's voice resounded loud and firm.

Completely bewildered, Jiwoo fell to his knees, lost in thought. After a few seconds, with his face still pale from the shock, he clenched his fists and grabbed a handful of sand from the ground.

At that moment, Amyeong kicked him in the stomach, causing Jiwoo to roll in the sand and vomit blood. Then, he was grabbed by the throat and lifted off the ground.

"Should I kill you, then?" Amyeong remarked.

Images of happy moments with Kayden and Ares flashed through Jiwoo's mind. His eyes filled with determination and seriousness as he stared at Amyeong firmly and declared, "No... I will live and protect what I cherish."

Jiwoo strengthened the arm that was being held, and a surge of electricity erupted, electrocuting Amyeong and causing him to release his grip. Quickly, Jiwoo stepped back, maintaining a safe distance, and thought, 'Electric Max Speed.'

Amyeong watched as Jiwoo materialized in front of him, his fist enveloped in electricity. He swiftly blocked Jiwoo's punch with his hand, creating a deep crater and a shockwave that rustled the leaves of the trees and the surrounding sand.

Jiwoo was stunned to see his attack halted by Amyeong. From a different perspective, Amyeong observed as his arm up to the elbow was completely scorched by the electricity.

"Not bad," Amyeong remarked as he released Jiwoo's fist. His arm healed within seconds.

Jiwoo was amazed by what he had just witnessed and realized, 'Regeneration...'

"It's time for me to go," Amyeong stated, while in his thoughts he pondered, 'I've fulfilled my purpose. Whether he can surpass this or not is his problem.'

Jiwoo watched Amyeong disappear, and after a few moments of daze, he reacted. He wiped the blood from his mouth and began to walk slowly, pale, toward his room.
