[13] "In Unfamiliar Territory"

The young man with white hair sat at the top of a mountain, watching the sunset while enjoying some tacos. His deep eyes reflected the tranquility of the moment.

Ares savored each bite with delight. After all, he had earned it.

He had managed to defeat the top 80 and traveled from Brazil to Mexico to take a break. He was exhausted after his first battle, in which he had sustained injuries.

'I really needed this time to enjoy my leisure,' Ares thought as he finished his meal. 'It was a tough battle, but I'm glad I came out victorious. I hope I'm ready for what's to come.'

[FLASHBACK]

Hugo looked at Ares and started talking to him. "You've become very famous lately for defeating Top 85 and 82. There's a rumor going around that you're a battle addict, just like your master."

Ares laughed crazily and replied, "I enjoy fighting, but I don't think I'm an addict. It's very entertaining."

Hugo remained silent as he thought to himself, "Another lunatic, an awakened one who doesn't care about fighting. He's a reckless person who shouldn't live. In our world, any defeat means losing everything we have. This is my moment to jump into fame."

(Spatial Isolation)

Ares took a battle stance and said, "You talk too much. Let's begin the combat."

Then, Ares created a storm of light rays that surprised Hugo. The latter said arrogantly, "I'm different from the opponents you've faced, Ares."

Next, Hugo created a levitation field across the area, rendering the light rays static. Ares was surprised and said, "Huh? I use levitation so my attacks won't be hindered."

Hugo pointed his hand towards the static rays in the sky and made them descend, crashing into the buildings. Then, he created a levitation field called "Dead Weight," increasing the weight of the area.

Ares realized that this was a troublesome enemy and he would have to exert much more energy than usual to move.

Top 80 attacked with compression bursts towards Ares, who defended himself with light rays and counterattacked with more light rays. Hugo used the levitation field to halt the attacks and redirect them towards the buildings, causing damage.

Ares swiftly dodged the attacks and appeared behind Top 80 to strike him multiple times in close combat.

Top 80 evaded the attacks and applied more pressure to the levitation field.

Ares realized he had to break through the field to prevent Top 80 from escaping to another location.

He leaped towards him and attacked with the "Devastating Strike," concentrating light in his fist and piercing through the levitation field.

Then, he created an explosion of levitation, releasing an immense aura that crushed everything in its path.

When the explosion subsided, Ares descended from the sky and saw the lifeless body of Top 80, blood dripping around the debris with a fist-sized hole in his chest.

Ares himself was injured, blood dripping from his body. He realized that his ability was powerful, and even his healing factor would take a few days to fully recover.

'A powerful attack...' he muttered to himself.

[Pov of Kayden]

He sat on his bed and reflected on what he had just heard about Ares. He knew Ares was a highly promising awakened individual, and the organizations didn't want him to progress so easily.

He wondered what measures these organizations would take to stop him.

However, Kayden had his own set of problems. He knew that the world-ranking individuals only accepted his challenges when he began killing their henchmen. He felt frustrated because it seemed like they only showed up when he had caused enough damage.

Kayden had made a decision. If these guys wouldn't appear when he challenged them fairly, then he would destroy their organizations.

He had set his sights on the organizations ranked 17th and 15th in the world, and he was willing to do whatever it took to dismantle them.

He knew it wouldn't be easy, as he would have to face some of the most powerful awakened individuals in the world. However, he believed he was capable of doing it. He had trained hard for years and had greatly improved his skills.
