[114] "New technique"

[A few hours later]

Jiwoo lashed out with all his strength and speed at Han Seongik, but the latter seemed to be in full control of the situation, blocking his attacks with ease.

'Hmm, his punches aren't that powerful, but he makes up for it with his speed...' mused Han Seongik as he nimbly dodged Jiwoo's blows and counterattacked.

He watched his opponent closely, noting how his fighting style had evolved significantly since he first saw him fight. 'His new fighting style is perfectly suited to take full advantage of his abilities,' he thought.

Frowning, Han Seongik continued to study Jiwoo's precise movements as he dodged his attacks with pinpoint accuracy. 'He uses minimal body movements and efficiently manages his energy to increase speed only when necessary, avoiding spending it in vain,' he realized, amazed.

'Incredible, how did he come to this conclusion?' wondered Han Seongik, eyes wide. 'It's clearly a style that completely suits him, but...' his thought hung in suspense.

'Enough, rest,' Han Seongik said in a serene voice.

Jiwoo stopped, breathing heavily, and dropped to the ground, trying to catch his breath.

"You've changed a lot, Jiwoo," commented Han Seongik, watching Jiwoo seriously.

"Really?", Jiwoo asked hesitantly.

"Yes," Han Seongik stated firmly and added. "How did you come to the conclusion of your new style?"

Jiwoo pondered for a moment before answering. "While training, I always ran out of energy quickly. Since I have little awakened energy and can't increase it in short periods of time, I asked Mr. Kayden how I could become faster without expending much energy. He didn't give me the answer, but he told me that it could be done and that I should find my own style."

"Then, I had many daily practice fights with other young men and tried to experience new things during those fights to look for answers to my question."

"Mr. Kayden taught me that being faster is not just about increasing energy to increase my speed, but other factors also come into play. Gradually, I became aware of those factors and honed them until I managed to change my fighting style completely," Jiwoo explained with determination in his eyes.

With a broad smile, Jiwoo concluded his explanation. "Upon reaching this conclusion, Mr. Kayden and my brother congratulated me."

Han Seongik was surprised, but quickly his face lit up with a sincere smile, and he commented. "Your talent amazes me more and more...to come to that conclusion at such a young age is wonderful, Jiwoo."

Jiwoo modestly replied. "It's no big deal... Many people help me become stronger, it's not just me."

Han Seongik nodded approvingly and said. "It's true, you have a lot of support. But still, it's your dedication and effort that got you this far."

I noticed that your punches are not strong, but we try to make up for it with your speed" added Han Seongik with a gentle smile.

Jiwoo nodded his head, while scratching the back of his neck thoughtfully. "Yes, that's right. Mr. Kayden is a specialist in long-distance combat. And my brother made it clear to me that he would not provide me with assistance; that I was to pass this test on my own."

Han Seongik listened carefully to Jiwoo's words and nodded understandingly. "I understand," he said empathetically. "Sometimes, we face challenges that we must overcome on our own to grow and discover our potential. It's a difficult path, but it's also one that helps us forge our strength."

Han Seongik commented. "Kayden is a powerful desperado and a specialist in long-distance combat. To solve your weaknesses, he must experiment and learn with a fighting style that he is not an expert in'."

"I understand," Jiwoo said.

"I can help you. As you well know, I am a close combat specialist, and I can help you overcome that weakness," Han Seongik commented with his hands carefully placed behind his back and a calm voice.

"Really?" exclaimed Jiwoo with enthusiasm shining in his eyes.

"Yes, I can teach you one of my techniques," assured Han Seongik, with a reassuring smile.

Jiwoo nervously scratches his cheek as he considers the proposal and, in a hesitant voice, says. "But sir... I don't think it's the right thing to do. I thank you very much for your offer, but I must decline."

"Are you sure?" asked Han Seongik with a hint of persistence in his voice.

"Yes, thank you very much," replied Jiwoo sincerely, "I know your technique would be of great help to me, but Mr. Kayden warned me about the complications of sharing techniques with people who are not part of your organization."

"Relax, you have nothing to worry about," Han Seongik assured with a reassuring smile. "The technique I will teach you is not Baekho's. In fact, it is something I created myself, and only I possess it."

"No one? But isn't your disciple the current leader of Baekho?" asked Jiwoo with a tone of surprise and disbelief in his voice.

"That's right, the current president of Baekho is my disciple, but I have retired and have nothing to do with the organization. This technique is something I created recently, and I haven't had time to pass it on to anyone, not even my disciple," Han Seongik explained with sincerity and some nostalgia in his words.

Surprise flashed across Jiwoo's face, and he expressed. "So, does that mean I would be in a worse situation, since I'm not even your disciple?"

Han Seongik laughed with a spark of innocence and replied. "No, don't worry about that. I think you are exceptionally talented and could master this technique quickly. Besides, I'm sure it will benefit you much more than anyone else. I consider you someone I trust, and I know this technique will be in good hands with you."

Jiwoo was amazed by Han Seongik's kindness, and a broad smile came across his face. Then, he stood up and bowed in respect, expressing. "Thank you very much, direct. I am excited to learn from you."

Han Seongik responded with a polite smile, but his attitude changed a little, showing a touch of smugness. "Of course, do you even know how strong I am?" he said as he lunged at himself.

"Yes! Mr. Kayden told me that you're ranked in the top 50 in the world rankings, but your power is much greater than that!" exclaimed Jiwoo with glints of admiration in his eyes.

Han Seongik smiled, pleased to hear the praise and asked curiously. "Jojojojo... I see that still Kayden has respect for elders like me by praising me like that. And what did Ares say about me?"

Jiwoo, with a worried expression, holds his hand to his head, as his nerves surfaced in his words. "It's just... it's just that he's too old and too weak," he comments uneasily.

Hearing this, Han Seongik pales and mutters awkwardly. "Am I really that old... and weak?"

"Are you okay, Director?" asked Jiwoo with a worried tone.

Han Seongik comes out of his daze and coughs before speaking. "Cough... Cough... we better start training and make that didn't happen..."

"Yes," Jiwoo said excitedly.

"Get into meditation position, close your eyes and concentrate," Han Seongik instructed.

Jiwoo nodded and got into meditation position, closing his eyes and concentrating completely.

Han Seongik approached Jiwoo, standing a few steps behind him, and a soft aura came out of his body, entering Jiwoo's. "This technique will help you make your punches stronger.... Concentrate on feeling and remembering the sensation, and how my energy moves in your body," he explained earnestly.

"Yes, Sir," Jiwoo replied earnestly.

"Just concentrate on learning the technique, you don't need to waste your concentration on answering me," Han Seongik commented in a serene but firm voice.

Silence reigned in the place as Jiwoo remained concentrated, letting Han Seongik's energy flow into his body. Every movement and vibration, every sensation of the energy coursing through his Jiwoo caught it.

Han Seongik spoke again. "Try to follow my energy with your own."

With great calm and ease, Jiwoo begins to tune into Han Seongik's energy flowing slowly through his body.

Han Seongik is shocked and bewildered as he thinks. 'How can he do it so easily, this technique is difficult to master? Is this the level of his talents? They seem to be on another level, they are monsters, but only with this exceptional talent, could such strength be achieved in such a short time, especially at such a young age'.

It is clear that they are family and that they are trained by the same people. They are true prodigies, each one of them.

As time progresses, Jiwoo becomes more and more adept at following Han Seongik's energy in his body. Gradually, he manages to do it on his own, until he masters it completely and no longer requires Han Seongik's assistance.....

[In the morning]

Jiwoo enters his room and is surprised to see Wooin, Subin and Jisuk sleeping, while Kayden has a stern expression and Kartein and Ares are also asleep.

"You came back," Kayden says seriously, then adds, "Where were you?"

"I'm sorry, Mr. Kayden," replies Jiwoo, "I met with the Director, and he informed me that Duke challenged me and that the showdown will be in a week."

Kayden nods and settles back on the couch, calmly saying. "So they already acted, it was quicker than I thought."

"The Director has helped me train and taught me a technique, that's why I came back alone now in the morning and didn't spend the night with you," Jiwoo explains.

Kayden looks seriously at Jiwoo and asks. "What did he teach you?"

"He taught me how to channel my energy differently so that my punches are more powerful," Jiwoo comments.

"So he taught you a Baekho technique?" replies Kayden earnestly.

"No, he said it was a technique he created by himself recently, based on his own experience, and he hasn't even taught it to his disciple yet", mentions Jiwoo.

Kayden is astonished and frowns, muttering, "A technique he hasn't even shared with his disciple?"

'I'll talk to him soon to find out more about what he taught me,' Kayden thinks to himself.

"And how do you find the technique, does it benefit you?" asks Kayden.

"Yes," replies Jiwoo with a smile, "With his technique, my punches will be much stronger and I won't be as affected by the punches I land anymore."

"That's to be expected, he specializes in close combat, just like you. His technique should be of great help to you," Kayden replies calmly.

"Yeah, I'll get to training," Jiwoo says determinedly.

Kayden raises an eyebrow and advises, "Rest, it's important that your body is recovered. You said you trained, so relax and circulate your strength control to recover soon while you sleep."

Jiwoo nods and, with a smile, says, "Have good dreams, Mr. Kayden."
