[08] "Times of fire and light"

At the top of a huge building stood a person with white hair and crystalline green eyes, looking towards the horizon.

"This will be my first official fight against a member of the top 100, Julen Tome. According to the rumors I've heard and what I know, he has the awakened power of fire. Many awakened have that power, but being a person in the world ranking, he must have developed that power on another scale," said Ares calmly.

A few minutes later, another person descended from the sky, with blonde hair and deep black eyes. He was dressed in formal blue clothing and a large scar covered his entire left eye.

"A little kid dares to challenge me. Don't you know your place in this world, being someone ranked in the top 100 of the world ranking?" said Julen with contempt.

"I know my strength very well and that's why I've come to claim my place," replied Ares confidently.

Ares put his hands behind his back and released a large amount of light.

(Spatial Isolation)

Julen exclaimed in surprise, "Spatial Isolation?"

"This will help us not to worry about the outside," Ares said with a big smile.

Julen thought to himself, 'This kid can use spatial isolation. It's not as easy as I thought, but I'll still defeat him.'

Ares raised his right hand towards the top 100, firing several beams of light from the right, left, and center towards him.

Julen exclaimed, "Power of light?"

A gigantic flame appeared around Julen, covering him from the attack. The explosion cracked the top of the building where they were located.

Julen counterattacked with dozens of large fireballs, while Ares defended himself with a shield of light and fired beams of light to neutralize the fireballs and make them disappear before they exploded.

"I have to attack," said Ares.

Julen released a strong red aura as hundreds of fire arrows formed and headed towards Ares. Ares generated several beams of light that collided with the arrows and destroyed the top of the building.

'How is it possible that this kid is so strong? What age does he have and already possesses that power?' said Julen, struggling to dodge the beams of light and trying to counterattack.

'I have to attack. It's very important to take the lead in a confrontation and not let the enemy have time to react and defend themselves calmly,' analyzed Ares.

A terrifying golden aura emanated from Ares' body as he rose into the sky, destroying several buildings in his path with powerful beams of light fired outwards.

"What is this enormous power?" said Julen, frightened, looking up at the sky.

Ares raised his arm and lowered his hand, laughing maniacally. "(Celestial Punishment!)" A huge amount of beams of light appeared above Ares and descended from the sky at great speed towards Julen.

He looked in fear at the attack and shouted, "What?! (Solar Flare)!" A huge flame appeared, melting the concrete and colliding with the beam of light attack.

Little by little, the dust began to disappear, revealing a figure kneeling in a building split in two, and a young man descending from the sky with his arms crossed behind his back, showing incredible arrogance and calmness.

"ARGH...ARGH...This must be a joke," said Julen, kneeling with his body full of serious burns.

"Oh...you're alive. Quite surprising," said Ares, laughing.

Julen asked, "Uff...how old are you? ARGH..."

"About to turn 17," replied Ares.

Julen, surprised, said, "Having that age and that enormous power, the world will be amazed."

"Shall we continue with the fight or do you surrender?" asked Ares calmly.

"Coff...coff...I don't surrender...coff..." thought Julen to himself. 'I can't believe I lost to this kid.'

Kayden descends from the sky and stands next to Ares.

"You did not do bad, Ares," said Kayden.

"Kayden Break?" said Julen, scared to see the person in front of him.

Kayden stares at him and says, "You recognized me."

"Thank you, master. It wasn't that difficult," said Ares with a proud voice.

"Master?" Julen wonders worriedly. "Is this boy Kayden's disciple?"

"You're not mistaken, he is my student," confirms Kayden.

"I admit my defeat," says Julen, aware that he is seriously injured. 'I hope this maniac doesn't kill me. Besides, I'm too injured to try to fight against that monster.'

'The boss lost and is seriously injured, besides, that kid is Kayden's disciple,' Marian said, surprised, watching from a distance.

"My congratulations, Ares. This is your first victory in challenging those in the world rankings. Shall we go?" Kayden asked.

"Yes, let's go," Ares replied.

"Even though you won, don't stop circulating your strength control, kid. Keep practicing at all times," Kayden advised.

"I'm sorry, Kayden," Ares replied.

Kayden walked away and turned to look at Julen, telling him, "I don't care if you spread this information, as long as it's treated as a rumor. If it's known that I have a disciple, the consequences could be severe."

"Okay..." Julen replied, scared and looking at the ground.
