[05] "The rescue of Kayden and his recovery at Ares' house."

[A few years later, in the Netherlands, Amsterdam]

A teenager runs down the street towards where he feels a couple of Awakened are fighting in the Netherlands, Amsterdam.

'I only arrived a week ago in the Netherlands and I feel a very strong power... damn, why did I have to encounter other Awakened? Mother, I'm sorry, but I have to protect them,' said Ares, very worried.

'I have to find out what's going on. It's very dangerous not to know what happened,' Ares added.

Suddenly, many screams from people were heard, and a large explosion shook the entire sector, destroying parts of the surrounding buildings.

Ares hid behind a building, seeing dozens of dead people on the ground in front of a male individual with long hair and blue eyes.

'Kayden? What are you doing here?' Ares said, surprised to see the person on the ground and unconscious.

It was Kayden, who was lying there with several large wounds visible.

Ares approached him and checked that all his opponents were dead and that there were no more awakened around. He realized that Kayden's condition was very serious.

'I can't leave him here. He made a lot of noise and I feel like other awakened will come in this direction, they'll be here in a couple of minutes, and his condition isn't very good…' Ares said as he carried Kayden on his back and quickly moved away from the place.

[At Ares' house]

Ares opened the door to the house while carrying Kayden, who was bloody and injured.

The noise alarmed his mother, who came down the stairs and spoke with a worried voice. "Son, is that you? Why are you so late?"

Ares replied, "Yes, mom, it's me. I had a little trouble on my way back home."

The female figure looked at Ares and Kayden and shouted, "Ares, who is he? Why is he bleeding?"

Ares tried to reassure her. "Relax, I don't know who he is. I found him while he was fighting with other people with superpowers. 'He thought to himself, "I can't let my mother know too much about Kayden.'

Ares' mother, Yujeong, reacted with alarm. "What do you mean calm down? You brought a nearly dead man who was fighting with other people. Do you know how dangerous this world is? We've talked about this before."

Ares felt guilty. "I'm sorry, mom, but he was unconscious. I wasn't going to leave him there. If I can heal him a little..."

Yujeong responded authoritatively. "Fine, take care of him, but we can't stay here for long. As soon as he recovers, we will go to another country."

Ares asked his mother to go get a couple of bandages while he put his hands on Kayden's wounds. A golden light began to cover the serious wounds, stopping the bleeding in 20 minutes.

Ares explained, "His wounds have stopped bleeding thanks to my healing factor. But he's much more injured than I thought. I have to cover his wounds with bandages and make him rest for a couple of months to fully recover. Apparently, Kayden had a big battle. But he shouldn't be famous right now. He looks very young, and Jiwoo is still very young. He may be challenging those in the top 100 or 200 for the first time, or he may not have even started challenging them yet."

[A few days later]

I woke up in an unfamiliar room, confused and disoriented. I realized that I had been healed and remembered killing the insects of an organization before passing out. I wondered who had healed me and heard two people talking near me.

I decide to get up from the bed and approach the door to see if there are possible enemies. I go down the stairs and see a woman asking questions to a teenager. The three figures turn and look at me.

Yujeong asked with concern, "When will he wake up? Has he been unconscious for several days?"

Ares responded uncertainly, "I don't know... his injuries are very serious. He may wake up now or maybe in a week."

Before Ares' mother could respond, footsteps were heard and a voice asked, "Who are they? Have they healed me?"

It was Kayden, who had awakened.

Yujeong introduced herself. "You're finally awake. My name is Kang Yujeong, and this is my son Ares Seo. He healed you."

Ares nodded. "That's right, I found you very injured surrounded by many dead people."

Kayden thanked them. "Thank you very much... This debt will be paid in the future. Are you both healed as well?"

Yujeong replied. "I'm not, but my son is."

"Through my healing powers, I healed you," explained Ares. "But you still need more treatment and rest. You're not fully healed yet."

Kayden nodded. "Oh... An awakened and a normal person."

Ares indicated a chair and said, "Take a seat, you need to rest."

Kayden sat down and an uncomfortable silence ensued as everyone looked at each other.

Finally, Yujeong proposed, "You've been unconscious for a few days. As you're conscious now, we want to move from this place and go to another location. Will you come with us so that my son can continue your treatment, or will you leave?"

Ares answered before Kayden could say anything. "We plan to go to Japan for a while until you recover."

Kayden thought for a moment and finally agreed. "Mmm... Alright, I'll go with you to Japan. There aren't very strong awakened ones there. How long will it take me to fully heal?"

Ares reassured him, "You'll be fully healed in about 3 months."

Yujeong added, "We'll leave in a week. You can use the room where you woke up to sleep."

Kayden thanked them again. "Thank you for taking care of me. The debt to you will be repaid sooner or later."

The three of them went to sleep, each in their own room, after a long day.

[One week later]

Kayden observes Ares training in the basement and notices many openings in his fighting technique that could be exploited in a real fight. "Kid, you're making a lot of mistakes in a fight. You shouldn't let your opponent see your weaknesses, raise your guard and move faster," Kayden advises him.

Kayden notices that Ares practices martial arts and suggests that he create his own fighting style based on his powers. "I can see that you can control light, so your fighting style should be long-range instead of close combat," says Kayden.

Ares responds that his healing factor improves his physical qualities and that he practices both styles to be more well-rounded.

Kayden is surprised by Ares' mindset and ideas, but points out that he still has many openings in his fighting technique. "Look, raise your guard, use your legs more, and be faster when attacking. You're pretty fast, but you're too static," Kayden instructs him.

Ares follows Kayden's instructions and starts attacking faster and moving more around the punching bag.

Kayden is excited to see the improvement in Ares' technique and advises him to keep using his legs more and moving his hips. "Rotate your arm and body faster to have more impact power in your punches," he adds.
