4 [04] "Ares against the school principal."
[3 months after the beginning of classes.]
A white-haired boy with clear green eyes sat with his arms crossed, very attentive and thoughtful, as he watched the man who was about to speak to the whole class.
An older man with blue-tinted glasses and long white hair and beard stood in front of the class and said, "Students, I hope you've had a good start to the school year. My name is Brett Haynes, and I will give you the dates when each guardian must come for an interview with me."

The director handed them a sheet with the dates for each student's meeting and added, "I hope you don't miss it." Then, he left without looking directly at the students.
Ares observed him without fear. 'I'm going to kill you soon, old fool', he thought to himself.
'In these three months, I have confirmed that the awakened one is Director Brett Haynes. He is an old man with telekinetic powers, but he is very careless and uses his abilities without worrying about cameras or other people who may see them. He is not very strong, which leads me to believe that he has not trained in an organization. However, I made a mistake by letting a little of my energy out at school, which alerted him and led him to investigate without reaching a satisfactory conclusion. But if he continues like this, sooner or later he will discover that I am the awakened one.'
'I am planning to confront him in an unfamiliar place. I will have to fight in plain sight, which I don't like, but I have planned to quickly end the battle and leave the country with my mother and Jiwoo. I have convinced them to go on vacation to New Zealand for a minimum of 3 months, so that Jiwoo can enjoy a peaceful place where we don't have to worry about any problems that may arise in a moment of reckoning.'

I am sitting with my legs crossed in a meditation pose. Today is the day I am going to kill the principal. He has suspicions that a student is the awakened one, so I can't delay any longer. Everything is ready and planned, I am going to kill him before he has the chance to act.
A couple of hours ago, I left him a letter telling him to meet me in the north, in a place where the entire area is a forest and mountains forming a funnel. This makes it impossible to see anything from the outside unless you climb a high incline. Right now, I'm hiding near the spot where the confrontation will take place. I'm supposed to have him meet me at midnight, and it's only 10 o'clock now. However, I arrived early so I could rest and be in perfect condition, without fatigue.
I am convinced that the director will come quickly here and find himself a little tired, which will make it much easier to defeat him. He spent a lot of time trying to find me, but he couldn't. This will be his only chance if he wants to meet me.

[Two hours later and 10 minutes]
Ares stood up and directed his gaze towards a mountain, where he saw a figure running towards him.
Brett stared intently at the figure dressed in black, standing 150 cm tall, unable to see his face clearly, only his deep crystal green eyes that were uncovered.
"I finally found you... uff... uff... It was really difficult to find you," said Brett, struggling to catch his breath.
Ares smiled, "You're very foolish... even more than I thought. Coming here without knowing your opponent's powers is very stupid."
Brett replied angrily, "Who are you calling foolish, kid? I'm going to torture you slowly so that you know your place in this world."
Brett raised his hand and unleashed a black light that destroyed the trees around Ares.
Ares took the full force of the attack, which kicked up a lot of dust.
"Hahahaha. I hope you didn't die that easily, little boy. You have to learn to never trust another Awakened. Hahahaha," said Brett with a crazy demeanor.
Brett looked towards Ares as the dust cleared, revealing Ares completely unharmed and surrounded by a golden light.
Brett was taken aback, "What? No damage? What powers does he have?"
Ares looked at him and laughed, "Hahaha, is that all you've got, old man? And you dared to search for me with so much passion? You can't even break my shield of light."
Brett was surprised, "How can a kid like you have this kind of power at your age?" 'Awakened powers of light?'
Ares replied, "This is called talent, old man. It's something you'll never have in your life. I'll show you what a real powerful attack should be like."
Ares emitted a golden aura that frightened Brett and caused slight cracks to appear in the ground around him.
Brett thought, "How is it possible for a kid his age to have such a large aura? Is he really a student at my institution?"
Ares slowly raised one hand towards Brett, while many beams of light generated in the sky and fell towards his opponent, illuminating the sky.
Ares spoke with an arrogant tone, "(Heavenly Punishment)."
Brett raised both his arms, forming a black barrier, while shouting in fear, "No!"
"Die, old man," Ares said with a devilish smile.
The beams of light fell on Brett and destroyed his shield, impacting the full force of the attack on his body. The ground beneath Brett was scorched, and everything was filled with noise. There was nothing left of him, only his blood could be seen.
Ares took a deep breath and lowered his hands, his body trembling with exhaustion. "That attack took more energy than I thought... Thank God I managed to eliminate him in one blow."
Ares looked around and tried to detect any sign of where Brett had gone. "I have to leave now. It's only a matter of time before other Awakened realize there was a battle here." He paused, squinting his eyes.
"And besides, I need to catch my flight to New Zealand."
Without another word, Ares turned around and ran off at a dizzying speed. As he ran, his figure gradually faded into the darkness, leaving behind a desolate and burnt forest, illuminated only by the gentle glow of the moon.
[Two hours later, at the site of the confrontation]
Two figures appeared at high speed, exploring the devastated area.
A female voice said, "Mr. Kelly, there was a confrontation here not long ago. There are still traces of energy."
"I know, Elizabeth. Just look at where there is blood and everything is burned. Who dares to enter my sector and fight here?" said Kelly, visibly angry.
Elizabeth asked, "Do you think it was someone with fire powers?"
"No, the way they burned the ground is different. It's like when a light bulb explodes," Kelly responded.
Elizabeth looked surprised. "Light? That power?"
"Yes, but who has those powers? Currently, we don't know anyone in this sector," Kelly said, frowning.
"Nobody... Could it be someone from another country?" Elizabeth suggested.
"It's possible... Due to my position as one of the top 100 awakened individuals in Canada, I don't know anyone in this country who has those powers," Kelly said.
"What do we do, sir?" Elizabeth asked, clearly worried.
"Let's quickly return to our organization and start investigating who it is. We have to find them," Kelly said determinedly.
Elizabeth replied and quickly walked away from the scene. "Yes, sir."
Kelly was left alone, staring fixedly at the burnt ground and the blood. "Brett... I hope it's not you who's dead."

[At the airport at the same time]
Ares thought to himself, 'Phew... Phew... Right now, I'm at the top of the plane and nothing bad has happened. I'm relieved.'
Yujeong asked him, "Son, why did you want to pay for a first-class ticket? It's very expensive."
Ares replied with a smile, "Don't worry, mom. I told you I would make money. I'm a genius, hahaha. It's not hard to make more money."
Yujeong replied, "You're becoming more and more mysterious, son... Take care of your brother while I go get something to eat."
Ares took Jiwoo in his arms and said, "Of course, mother. Go and take it easy."
Then, he gazed down at Jiwoo, who was sleeping comfortably in his arms, and thought to himself, 'My cute little brother will grow up to surprise the world together with me.'
