Before the car could fully stop, my mother burst out of the front door and ran down the stairs like a bat out of hell. I could hear her scream from inside the car and even though I was exhausted I could not help but laugh. 

As soon as my body was out of the car, her body collided with mine as she hugged me tightly. "Eddie! Oh I've missed you so much my boy," she kissed my cheeks, my forehead and the tip of my nose. She always did that to Amanda and I when she had not seen us in a long time. It only hit me then how much I missed it. 

"Mummy. I missed you too," I laughed as she hugged me tightly again and yes I still called my mother 'mummy' sue me. I was a mamas boy. 

"Come come. I made you something to eat I can imagine how exhausted you must be," she pulled my hand as she led me up the large marble stairs leading to the mansion.
