Fame and Fortune!

I got out of the dungeon, and as soon as the light of the outside world greeted me, a warm and welcoming light, then the footsteps of hundreds of players resounded as they approach me.

"Please join our Giant's Hand guild! We'll offer you 20,000 gold and let you have rare equipment!"

"No, join the Mt Hua sect! We will give you a lot of skill books, and we'll offer you a unique grade weapon!"

"Join the Tang Clan, and we'll make you into the best assassin the world has ever known!"

"Join our Tiamat's Wrath guild, and we'll let you raid our dungeons for free, and whenever you want!"

"The Lion's Mane Guild will offer one of our Legendary Titles!"

They were all shocked when they heard Lion's Mane guild offering a legendary title. Even I'm shocked, but they pale compared to my mythic ranked titles. But with this, the entire auction for me to join their guilds spiked up, as their offers ranged from 500k gold, Mystic grade equipment, dungeon ownerships, titles, and last, a position in the guild.

They were all great really, but when I saw the familiar red hair and visor at the back of the crowd, trying to get to me.

"E-excuse me, but the Rising Sun guild offers you the vice-guild master seat!"

"What?!"

The highest offer between the guilds was the seat of the Vice-Guild master. I started walking into the crowd and came face to face with Jeanne. Having a guild won't hurt, but not now. I don't want to get roped into their shenanigans.

"I'd want the position of the guild master."

"What?"

It stupefied the recruiters who went here on the behalf of their superiors, the seat of vice-master has been denied, and what he's aiming for is the seat of the guild master, this young player is too arrogant. Is probably what they're thinking, just by the looks on their faces.

A dragon-like humanoid went up to me. His scales are red and he sent me an invitation for a 1 v 1. One of the many Dragonoid races, but what makes him special is that he came from the Tiamat's Wrath guild, and is one captain of their guild.

If I remember correctly, he's their 13th strongest. They have not disclosed yet his class, but his level is public, which is level 150, which means he already unlocked an ultimate skill from his class.

[Amir challenges you to a one-versus-one!]

Amir smirked, thinking that I got cold feet after he challenged me, but what surprised me is that they sent a red Dragonoid like Amir, was it leaked that I used flames as my primary form of attack, if so then it would make sense that they would send Amir, but there's one thing they don't know.

"I'll accept, but if you lose, give me that legendary title you were yapping on about."

"Your arrogance knows no bounds, fine I accept your deal!"

The crowd then distanced themselves as a barrier formed around us, and Amir pulled out a shield and mace. He's wearing heavy armor, that screams that he's the tank of the team, but he's wearing a lot of accessories, and he has a legendary title.

I didn't unsheathe my sword and just stretched my body. Amir growled at my lax behavior.

Amir charged at me, disregarding his defense and looking down at me. He didn't even activate a skill, he just charged in. I placed my hand in front of me and opened my palm.

A lion made of blue flames came out. When I upgraded the skill to master rank, the lion became much more majestic, as the image of the lion became much clearer than ever. Amir laughed out loud as he charged at me.

"Do you think fire can affect me? You've so much to learn after joining our guild brat!"

Amir charged into the blue flames, and the damage number came out. If he's a tank and captain at the level of 150, he might've some accessories and good equipment, so I think his health is somewhere around 100 thousand, and his vitality is at least 500.

Hmm, and it looks like my damage is somewhere around 10k-12k since he's a Dragonoid I'm dealing 100% additional damage.

He shouted out, as he burned inside the lion. He tried getting out, but the flame was on him, and I just moved further away, facing the crowd.

"Now, who wants to follow in this worm's footsteps?"

He ignored the pain and charged at me, but I turned around and unsheathe my golden sword, and slashed his head off the body with the blue flames also on the blade of my sword.

The barrier went down, and everyone looked at me in awe. Then it was Jean who first got to me, her eyes brimming with excitement after witnessing the battle.

"I'll accept your condition."

This is not going as planned. I thought by showing my power, and what I want, these recruiters will go away. Though it worked for some, Jeanne was still persistent, persistent enough to offer me the seat of the guild master. Now I can't think of any excuses.

"So, follow us."

She held onto my hand and used what seem to be a blue stone, crushing it within her hand and returning to the base.

We're now sitting inside the guild master's room, and the guild master of the rising sun is looking at me, then looking back at Jeanne, whose smile is beaming, though I can't see her face because of her visor, I can't do anything now, since I'm at the heart of the guild, and in front of the guild master.

The guild master's name is Roma, a level 389 player. He started 10 years earlier than me, and he established the Rising Sun guild after 3 years of playing. His character has golden hair and ruby-red eyes. From what I've heard, his class is a Saint of The Everlasting Light, which is a legendary grade class and the 4th hidden class advancement in the Sun Priest class.

"Alright, I agree."

"What?!"

I shouted out, the guild master stepping down just for me. What's happening and why does it look like Jeanne is happy about it?

"You'll be the guild master of our branch guild, the Sunfire guild."

And now, my mind cleared, and finally noticed her plan.

"As you know, the Rising Sun guild doesn't have any backer, so we became the backer for the guilds being managed by the eight rays, the 8 rays being the 8 captains of the Rising Sun guild, so Jeanne here messaged me about your preposterous request, but then Jeanne said she'll back down from her position and become vice-guild master, and make you the guild master."

I looked at Jeanne with a confused look, and then a message appeared right in front of me.

[You're invited to the Sunfire Guild!]

I weighed down the merits inside my head and decided.

"Captain Jeanne, you can keep your position."

"What?"

"I'll just start out like how everyone starts out, from the bottom to the top."

[You're now officially part of the Sunfire Guild!]

Jeanne cheered and hugged me. I didn't know how to react and just kept my hands to myself, then the guild master coughed.

"Now, since you're a really powerful player for your level, I'll give you special permission to explore the guild's library, guild's treasury, and with it, you can get one unique grade item and one skillbook. Oh, and you can have the independence of a captain."

The guild master gave me a badge that resembles the sun with 8 rays.

"Come, I'll show you around the main guild!"

Jeanne pulled me by the arm and we exited the room. The guild master waved goodbye at us and sighed in relief.

"Hehe, looks like we meet again, Clarent."
