A Lich's Dungeon

Entering the dungeon, what greeted me was a cold, and lifeless breeze, skulls with candles inside them placed on a pedestal lit up the crypt, and bones of different races scattered across the ground.

This is the first floor, which is supposed to throw players off when they first enter this dungeon. It's a long winding path with many low-level monsters, namely skeletons and zombies, the reason it can throw off players who go here is that it's incredibly long, from the forums that I read it's said the shortest time a level 69 player traveled from the start to finish is 5 hours, it makes players lax and makes them think the rest of the dungeon is also like this.

"Skraaa!!"

A skeleton rose from the ground with a battered long sword in its hand, and from afar I could hear many footsteps. The effects of [Divine Blood] are doing their job properly. I activated the skill [Fiery Wrath of Alcor], and blue flames emerged around me and reached out to the undead, incinerating them in a touch.

I placed my hand on the left side of the wall and started dashing at full speed. If a level 68 player can finish the first floor in 5 hours, then I shall do it in 1 hour. The ashes and embers left behind by the undead would part way as I ran through them at incredible speeds.

"Uraaagh!!"

A skeleton knight! It's clad in plate armor, and its weapon is enhanced with magic. This is a sign that I'm getting closer to the end of the floor. I swung my sword at the skeleton knight, and it raised its sword to greet my attack, but his sword snapped in two and I slashed the skeleton knight in half.

"That's one. I guess I should head this way, then."

I started running again, killing every monster along the way.

So 30 minutes has passed, and there was a giant door right in front of me.

"Damn, I didn't know it'll only take me 30 minutes."

And if I recall correctly, it broadcasts my clear time to the entire server, but I can also make it either anonymous or make myself known to the world. I'll choose the latter.

I opened the door and was transported to the 2nd level of the dungeon. Looking around, it didn't look much because of the darkness, but the sounds of steel crashing onto each other, the sounds of flames roaring, the gears grinding, and the saws buzzing, tell me that this floor is an obstacle course.

Although I don't have the light spell, I could still light up the place with the blue flames. The pathway was lit up in a blue hue, and the path in front of me became clear, with swinging blades.

The first crescent blade swung sideways, and the next after that had two crescent blades side by side, swinging to the front and back. There are more behind it. Behind it was a moving block, crushing anything that gets underneath it.

I paused and observed the timing of the crusher and blades, then I noticed the problem.

"Its activation is at random intervals?!"

There's no use in observing it. The only thing that has some intervals is the swinging blades. Though they don't swing at the same time, each blade still has a rhythm, and there are two modes to the crushing block, when it rose and is about to descend either it instantly slams back down, or there's a random time which it'll go back down.

I waited until the crushing block have descended and when the first blade swung to the furthest right; I ran through it, and when I entered the area where the 2 blades were, I dodged to the right side as the right blade swung back down, and I sensed danger.

I could feel the temperature change as flames roared and shot out, singing the tip of my hair. I quickly went in between the crescent blade as the right crescent blade went back up, and when the flames were about to reach me again, the crescent blade swung back down and blocked the roaring torrent of flames for a brief second.

I looked back and saw the left blade was about to swing back down, and the stone block finally went up with the sounds of gears cranking up. My senses warned me again after I ran into that opening. I ducked and went prone on the floor as dozens of arrows whooshed over me, hitting the wall. Then it just kept shooting arrows. I crawled instead. When I reached a point, my senses warned me again. I rolled to my sides as steel spears shot up from the ground, poking holes through the floor, and wherever I roll the spears were to shoot out.

I stood up and rolled forwards and I could finally see the end of the stone crusher, then the sounds of gears cranking alerted me, as the stone block was about to descend and crush anything under it, I used the blue flames to block the arrows, and ran with all of my speed, jumping out of the way as the stone block crashed onto the floor.

"Sh*t!"

I cussed out as I bent backward, as large buzz saws almost cut me in half, then it moved back when I stood right back up. Another set of traps greeted me. Not only is it another set of traps, but there are 3 ways I could go.

"I can see why only 3 people clear the 2nd floor, but this won't discourage me, let's go!!!"

It took me 4 long annoying hours of flame throwers, buzz saws, swinging blades, guillotines, spike traps, arrows, arrows laced with poison, magic circle traps, pitfalls, bear traps, crushing ceilings and walls, fake exits, trapped fake exits, puzzles, water traps, poison gas, and more.

Some traps I blocked it using my blue flames, but most of them I did without using the blue flames. If I did, then it would be too easy. I opened the door to the third floor, and when I did, cold air greeted me, as a familiar hill was in front of me.

[Using your memories as a catalyst!]

[Find the exit!]

Behind me was the forest near 'Alcor' and what emerged from it were the 500 ogres that I fought, though this time they were undead ogres. From the 3 users, they said the 3rd floor contained the memories of the person, and every single monster they've fought will appear there, and that you need to find the exit to the next area.

The blue flames wrapped around me and it took the shape of a lion as it roared out to the zombie ogres. I charged at them with my golden sword in hand, and I started swinging like a madman.

It took only 1 swing to take one of them down, and with my speed and damage against them, it only took a minute for me to mow all of them down, killing all of them.

[You've leveled up!]

[You've leveled up!]

[+1 to Strength, +2 to Agility, +1 to Magic Power!]

Although my class changed, it looks like the additional stats only amount to this much, but the fact it took 500 zombie ogres just for me to level up 3 times boggles me, a double-digit level player should level up easier even when they're level 50, this should've leveled me up at least 15 or 20 times, and at most probably 30 times.

I heard from the community that based on the rarity of the class, the rarer the class the harder it becomes to level up and the stronger it is, although it seems unfair, common, uncommon, and magical ranked classes grow much faster and are on par with the rarer class on higher levels. But does this make sense, though? 500 ogres and I only leveled up 3 times.

"Kuwooogh!!"

[You've resisted the roar of the undead twin-headed troll!]

If all the monsters I've slain are here, then it'll make sense that the troll would be here as well. I heard the trees being destroyed as the undead twin-headed troll charged through the forest, aiming at me with its axe. Even my boosted damage against the undead wouldn't be enough to kill it.

I ran away, and past the undead twin-headed troll. I ran as fast as I can and entered Alcor, where thousands of undead greeted me, and there at the end of this army, I saw a familiar death knight with a rusted great sword in hand.

"Burn everything away!"

The blue flames which took the form of a lion roared out and flooded the entire town with blue flames. These are thousands of enemies. Then in just 1 second, the death knight was in front of me with electricity surrounding its body.

"Welcome back, master Zemar!"

It swung its great sword, and I tried blocking its attack with my golden sword.
