71 Foresight

/Eden POV\

It seems like i was right.

After stopping to eat ice cream, Aya and I ran into a small group of people with Gold adventurer plates.

The leader was a man in armor with a comically large sword.

"Overcompensating?" I asked the first question on my mind once they blocked our path.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" He was confused.

"Pfft- Hahaha!" Aya laughed, drawing even more confusion, and some anger, from the man.

"Nothing. What did you want with us?" I wanted to see what path fate sent us on.

"Rejoice! The great alliance of guilds is offering spots in our upcoming raid to newbies. You'll get many treasures as well as opportunities to join a big guild!" The guy had a smug smile on his face as if he expected us to tearfully thank him for this offer.

["Look at that darling, how nice of them to give us jobs as a human meat shields."]

I smiled hearing Aya's voice in my head, it's been awhile since we've communicated that way.

"Sounds like fun, let's go."

He smiled and gave us directions to the meeting place.

I could see the disdain in his eyes, this should be a fun trip.

Arriving at the meeting hall we saw many adventurers and workers, we were able to recognize some from the anime.

Aya literally pointed out everyone she recognized, causing them to stare at her. She had no shame and continued pointing.

After a few minutes the woman i was waiting for walked in.

Red dress, blonde hair, it was Shuka Karino. She walked in and went straight to the leader of the alliance.

"Why is she here?" Aya was surprised when she saw her.

"Courtesy of Omni. I wonder how her powers work considering Darwin's game doesn't exist here."

We started going over different possibilities before settling on 'Omni could do whatever she wanted.'

During our conversation, Shuka looked over at us and was staring. I winked and Aya smiled.

Just then, the alliance leader gathered everyone's attention by tapping a glass.

"Hello everyone! Members of my guild have found ancient ruins with untold treasures, but also countless dangers. This has the potential to become the biggest raid in our Kingdoms history! We are generous enough to share this opportunity with those who aren't associated with a guild!"

A lot of nonsense came out of his mouth but everyone ate it up, the sound of the cheering could probably be heard from down the street.

The alliance leader quieted them down before introducing Shuka.

There wasn't many cheers, in fact it was pretty quiet. They seemed scared of her.

Before it got too awkward a bell rang, signifying the start of the raid.

We all headed outside, getting in carriages for the travel.

They spared no expense. I guess they were pretty confident in this raid going well.

Hahaha.

"Ah, she's leaving like that?" Looking where Aya pointed i saw Shuka using her chains to travel, clearing the path ahead of the carriages of any monsters.

"That's pretty cool. Do you want to follow?" I asked Aya.

"I would, but look who's here! Foresight!" Aya pointed to a team who was currently boarding a small carriage.

"They still somehow found their way here? Unfortunate." It was the pitiful team that took place in the raid from the anime.

"Darling, i want to go talk to Arche. You can follow Shuka, okay?" I knew there's no way Aya would miss this opportunity. I still remember how she cried when the scene of Arche's sisters waiting for her showed.

"Alright, have fun." Aya smiled and ran over to their carriage.

I laughed at how childish she acted, it was cute.

"Fly." I recited the name of a 3rd tier spell as using magic is pretty cool.

I went and followed Shuka.

/Aya POV\

I made it to the carriage as they were still boarding.

"Hmm? Hello, how can we help you?" The Cleric, Roberdyck, was the first to speak.

"Can i join you all for the trip?" I asked.

"Sorry, but-"

"Sure!"

The leader took a look at the copper plate around my neck and was going to reject me but Imina agreed.

I smiled at her and we began talking.

Arche was sitting in a corner of the carriage with her eyes closed.

*Gasp* "Copper plate with tier 3 spells?"

The gasps and chatter of the others around us interrupted my conversation with Imina.

Looking towards the commotion i saw darling following Shuka while flying.

'Show off.'

Smiling, i started talking to Imina again.

"Isn't he with you? So he's a magic caster, huh?" Hekkeran, the leader, asked me.

"Yeah, he was going ahead to help clear the path."

The cleric nodded in respect.

"So, Aya, was it? What made you want to join the raid?" Imina asked.

"We happened to be invited and darling thought it'd be fun to witness." I told the truth, it would be fun to see what happens.

"So, you're risking your life for some fun?" Hekkeran sounded a little upset, understandable considering they were risking their life because they needed money.

"Well, we don't need the money, we aren't interested in joining any of those guilds, so yeah i guess you can say that."

He did not like that, but whatever. I wasn't interested in arguing with him.

["Aya! Uhh, the kids woke up, what do i feed them?!"]

Just then i heard Omni's voice in my head.

["I kept some milk for them stored in the room, it's in a space safe so it doesn't expire or anything."]

Hearing Omni's panic was funny.

["You'll get used to it, you'll probably be a mother soon as well."] Darling would probably get Omni pregnant next, though Yue's been trying pretty hard.

Parallel thought is a gift, during that conversation with Omni i was able to still pay attention to the carriage.

Imina was just arguing with Hekkeran, telling him to mind his business.

I was a little confused, aren't they together? She should be on his side.

I could tell he has strong feelings for her but it doesn't seem to be the replicated.

I guess we changed a lot since we've been here.

/Eden POV\

I've been following behind Shuka, before i caught up to her i wanted to see something.

Looking into the distance i saw the graveyard where someone i wanted to see would be.

No magic needed, my eyesight was enough to see as far as i wanted to.

I used some of my innate abilities to see through mountains and buildings, i eventually laid my eyes on the cemetery and seeing the beginning of their plan.

Clementine just started working with the old dude, she was currently walking away from someone she just killed.

Curious…

*Flash* I looked at her with pure killing intent.

I lowered it since i didn't want her to die.

Watching her freeze and immediately get into a defensive position. She'll be on guard for awhile.

I'll see her later.
