The chase continued in the vast underground abyss, just below the immense dome that covered the inhabitants of this hidden world. The skies above them were nothing more than a distant memory, replaced by a perpetual darkness that engulfed everything. The air was thick with an oppressive heat, suffocating and relentless. The landscape was a mix of eerie beauty and treacherous terrain.

In those dark skies however, the skies were occupied by the stated inhabitants. Thirty-four flying monstrous creatures that looked like a mix of mutated eagle and vultures were chasing after one odd demon.

That demon being, none other than our friendly neighborhood demon— Kael.

Kael was clearly enjoying himself, evident from the wide grin plastered across his face. Despite the relentless pursuit of the flying creatures, who sought to feast upon his flesh, he seemed unfazed, as if engaged in a playful game of tag. He effortlessly circled around, his arms flapping in a carefree manner, giving the impression of someone having the time of their life, even in the face of danger.

The monsters screeched in frustration, but Kael just laughed and kept flying. He was satisfied by his speed which have gone from 52 > 59, his strength have also gone from 35 > 40.

Eventually, after what felt like hours of playing, Kael decided to call it quits.

"Alright, alright, I think I've had enough fun for today," Kael said, stopping his flight while turning to the birds, smiling and wiping his fake sweat from his forehead. "You guys can go back to your bird business now." he said with a 'shoo shoo' gesture.

The monsters let out a chilling screech in perfect unison, hurtling towards Kael with newfound velocity.

"Yare yare."

As the birdies swooped down, their claws and beaks bared, Kael's eyes locked onto their every move. Once the demons approached the 4 meters mark, their fates were decided.

Kael whipped his tails, and before they knew it, the two birds that were at the very front, and was the first two who entered his range was pierced right between their eyes. All they've seen was a black blur and before they knew it, darkness descended upon them.

The tails did not stop however, extending and advancing with terrifying speed, piercing yet another two at the back. Their souls left afloat while their lifeless body fell.

Snatching up three souls in a flash, he clutched one close and spoke in a tempting tone.

"You guys want it? Take it." He chucked the soul right into the middle of the monsters, grinning as he expected them to plunge into a wild brawl to get their hands on it.

However, the monsters remained motionless, their piercing gazes fixed upon him, their expressions bordering on disdain, as if regarding him as a mere fool.

"Oh, of course!" Kael exclaimed, smacking his forehead in realization. In the midst of the chaos, he had momentarily forgotten that while monster do hunt demons, the monsters had their sights set on the demons body, eager to devour them.

It dawned on him that these creatures possessed the ability to absorb the demonic aura of the demons they feasted upon. As they accumulated enough of this essence, they could undergo a transformation, becoming demons in their own right.

Speaking of bodies... Doesn't he have, like, a whole bunch of them?!

"Muehahaha, yeah, my bad," he chuckled awkwardly. The birds stared at him with puzzled expressions, questioning his sanity. First, he tossed a soul, which was already pretty strange because demons usually go crazy over that stuff. And now, he was laughing maniacally, and then... out of nowhere, the demon had another demon in his hands! Well, not really a demon, just a lifeless corpse.

But that was all it took. The birds fixated their frenzied eyes on the lifeless body, swiftly diving towards Kael, eager to claim their prize. However, in a sudden move, Kael hurled the corpse right at them.

"Ah, now we're talking." Kael grinned with satisfaction, finally witnessing the outcome he had hoped for. The monsters wasted no time, diving headlong into a wild brawl, each one vying to seize the coveted prize.

He then opened his system to create a bomb, not just a normal bomb though. He quickly created it using [NAB];

[Mana Grenade:

Description: The Mana Grenade is a compact and portable explosive device infused with a concentrated amount of mana. Upon contact with a solid surface or target, it triggers an immediate explosion of raw magical energy. The blast radius is moderate, and it can cause significant damage to anything caught within its range.]

This cost me 20 souls, leaving me with 33 souls and of course he didn't forgot to add the mod [Doesn't affect the host—ME.]

As he held the item in his hands, he felt its weight and took a moment to examine it. To his amazement, it was a captivating sight. The circular glass was transparent, revealing a swirling blue gaseous substance contained within.

With precise aim, he swiftly hurled the object into the heart of the chaotic monster brawl, watching as it soared through the air and landed with precision.

*BOOM*

A symphonious boom reverberated through the air, its echoes dancing across the surroundings. A faint shockwave rippled outward, touching everything in its path. Yet, miraculously, as if enveloped in an invisible shield, he remained unscathed.

*Whistle*

"Indeed, art is an explosion." he murmured, nodding to himself in satisfaction. As he surveyed the aftermath of his explosive masterpiece, the scene was filled with the sight of charred bodies descending to the ground like macabre raindrops. Meanwhile, ethereal souls floated solemnly in the air, a haunting reminder of the lives that had been consumed in the fiery display.

He wasted no time as he swiftly swooped in on the untouched souls, snatching them up and storing them in his system. A grin spread across his face as he watched his soul stash jump from 33 to 64.

With a sense of satisfaction coursing through him, he took to the sky and soared back to his humble cave. It was a sanctuary that offered solace and respite from the chaos of the Upper Abyss. Nestled within its comforting embrace, he planned to indulge in one last restful slumber before embarking on his next adventure.
