Beginning

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to my very first show," Derrick said as he did a small bow. An awkward silence greeted him but he was not deterred by this. He rose his head before looking at his only audience, two little children looking at him like he was Superman himself.

"I see we have regulars only today. That's fine, it means they get to watch a new kind of trick," he said, making them two clap in a frenzy.

"As you can see, I have nothing in my hands," he said as he showed them his empty palms. They nodded in agreement. "However, with a sleight of my hands..." A coin suddenly appeared in between his first and middle finger of his left hand.

"Whoa!" the girl exclaimed in wonder while the boy was just left speechless.

"If you think that's cool, check this out," Daniel had a grin on his face as coins appeared in between all his fingers. The two children's jaws were almost falling off seeing this. Daniel clasped and unclasped his fingers, showing he only had one coin in hand.

"Where did they go?" the boy asked, almost walking onto the stage and searching him, trying to find them.

"What was that, Jay? I didn't hear you?" Daniel asked, hand on his ear.

"Where are the...bleergh!" the boy was in the middle of shouting when seven coins suddenly fell out of his mouth one by one. The girl clapped joyfully while the boy had a thousand yard look, staring at the mucus covered coins that he was sure should not be in his stomach.

"That should teach you, a magician never tells his secret," Daniel chided him lightly but Jay was not listening. Tears glistened in his eyes before he started bawling his eyes out.

"There, there! He was just teasing you!" the girl tried to comfort him but he just cried even more. Daniel looked at the mess he created and felt guilty.

"Okay, okay, no need to cry," he sighed as he tried to bargain with the child. "Look, as compensation, how about a super duper rare magic spell, how does that sound?" The boy slowly ceases sobbing as he nodded.

"Okay, this is super are so you better keep quiet and watch me do it," Daniel warned him. The boy heeded his words, stopped crying as he looked up. "Okay, here goes!"

"By Merlin's beard, I the great Pazuzu now command you beyond the realms, rise and heed my words!" Daniel chanted loudly. The single coin on his palm suddenly started trembling before wobbly rising up to an inch from his his palm as it rotated slowly.

"Woah!" the two were thoroughly awes by the spectacle that they inched forward, trying to see the trick up close. Daniel smiled warmly before letting the coin fell on his open palm.

"I haven't mastered it yet but I will show you once I do," Daniel promised them. The two beamed in joy. "Okay, this ends my magic show for today. Tomorrow I will show even better tricks so you better be prepared." The two thanked him before running off gleefully. Daniel watched them till they disappeared then turned to the one he was here for.

"Now then, what exactly were you going to do to those two brats?" he asked in a carefree way, looking above him. In a blue ball was a swirling cloud that was actually a demon.

"You think this can stop me, magician, you are mistaken. I will rip out of it and rip you to shreds! Then I am going to feast on your soul and I will take my time while I enjoy its screams!" the demon roared at him.

"Sheesh, so scary!" Daniel said in a monotone before and like a bug exploding, the demon just burst and fizzled out of existence! A second later, it came back and boy was it scared. "Not so talkative? What happened to your threats?"

SPLAT!

A second later, the demon was back!

SPLAT!

And it was back!

"Stop, stop, please stop, I beg of you, stop!" the demon roared pitifully once it felt it's atoms getting disintegrated. Normally, a normal human would not even feel when this happened but as a higher order being, it had self supremacy, every fibre of its body was under its complete control. So it felt as it was getting disintegrated out of existence each and every time!

"I am disappointed, thought you had much more in you, big guy," Daniel teased the demon who could only try to act cute. Being erased from existence in the most painful way was quite frightening, not even the most savage pits of hell would have prepared it for the pain.

"So tell me why exactly you have been stalking those brats for three days," Daniel asked.

"Yes, yes, their parents just sold their souls to a prince of hell for a chance of becoming billionaires. I had to make sure they were not harmed before He collects," the demon answered, truthfully. Right now, he didn't care about loyalty, his life was more important. Daniel sighed in regret when he heard this.

"Three months in this world and I am already dealing with a Prince of Hell," he said to himself as he a silver dollar appeared in his hand. The ball holding the demon burst open making the demon want to flee but Daniel held it place just with thought.

"Please, please don't kill me!" it begged pitifully. Normally killing a demon would just result in it appearing in hell. But Daniel would erase it from existence, frightening it so much it could only cower in Daniel's presence.

"Tell this Prince I want to have a bargain," Daniel said and let it go. The demon did not loiter around, immediately opened a gate to hell on the side of a building and jumped in. The gate closed on itself as soon as it went in.

Daniel continued sitting as he pondered. Three months ago, he arrived in this world, DC. He had died in his previous life, quite horribly too. He met a ROB who gave him three wishes. Daniel was a slacker, he didn't want the hassle of going from weak to strong and now that he had the chance to cheat, he decided to go big. So, he asked to have all the powers of the Marquis of Death at his strongest. He then asked to have the power of adult Franklin Richards and lastly, the martial potential of Cosmic Garou.

After transmigrating, the first day was spent in making sure his power was in check. Of course with his power, twenty four hours might as well be eternity and he spent it well. He had complete knowledge of what he was and how to grow and grow he did. In one day that he counted in attaseconds, it might as well be forever by the time he decided to end it. He was satisfied at the moment, he was sure even True form Darkseid would not try to mess with him just for the sake of it. He was at a level of a sixth dimensional beings and it felt great.

Just then, he felt space being bent before a figure appeared in front of him. It was a middle aged man dressed in an Armani three piece suit, wealthy and very much possessed. A possessed person would have this aura on him and people who have encountered demons would know immediately because of how foul they smelled.

"So you are the mortal that's brave enough to try and bargain with me, Mammon!" the man spoke in a distorted voice.

"Mammon, the Prince of Greed huh? Nice to meet you and yes, I am he," Daniel spoke up nonchalantly. As a demon who has experienced countless demon exorcists, his demeanor sent alarm ringing in Mammon's head.

"You have me at a disadvantaged, I have no idea who you are," Mammon spoke up. Daniel just gave him a mysterious smile. To a demon, names have great power, especially so to a Prince of Hell. Giving one your name was inviting countless troubles for yourself.

"I called you here for this," Daniel said as he showed him the silver dollar. Mammon looked at it then back at Daniel in disdain.

"You expect to pay for their souls with a silver dollar? It might be expensive to you mortals but not to me," Mammon scoffed in disdain.

"Oh, forgive me, I was expecting to deal with a Prince intuned to his cosmic senses, not a clown. So let me start over," Daniel chuckled mockingly making Mammon grit his teeth in anger. If he wasn't sure what Daniel was, he would have killed him over and over again. "This coin contains an entire universe, your universe if you agree to relinquish the hold you have on those two souls."

"LIAR!" Mammon burst out, causing a portion of his power to leak out, causing the entire of New York to experience a sudden Magnitude 2 earthquake.

"Oh, why do you think so?" Daniel asked, eyeing him with a raised brow. Mammon was rendered speechless by his sudden change in demeanor. While before he was a carefree lamb for slaughter, he had changed to a python waiting to strike. He was familiar with this for this was how he himself behaved when a bug would try and mock him. The most alarming thing was that he was not even feeling any kind of danger from him which made him question whether he was a paper tiger or he was an existence much more powerful than he was!

"If what you say is true, then I will gladly relinquish the hold I have on their souls," Mammon said, btrying to word it correctly so that Daniel would not get even more offended. Prevention is better than cure after all. Daniel smiled before flicking the coin at him. Mammon was about to catch it when the coin just floated stationary in the air. Mammon frowned as he tried to dislodge it, without any success. No matter how much power he used, the coin did not budge.

"It weighs twice the wight out universe is currently. The more our universe expands and gains more weight, the more the coin will continue weighing. That is until you give me the contract. Then it is just another coin in your purse," Daniel explained. Mammon looked at him with horror before quickly making the contract. While he would use this moment to cheat someone else, he wasn't so daring at the moment. He worded every sentence correctly before signing it and handing it to Daniel who double checked it.

"Nice doing business with you. Now, you'll forget about this whole ordeal, good bye," Daniel said. Mammon and the coin disappeared as soon as he finished speaking, leaving Daniel alone. He nodded at himself, satisfied, before lifting the illusion around him. Wearing his homeless clothes, picked his bag and walked off.
