Stone Hearted Deception: Gorgons Gambit

"In the enchanted realm of diverse races, where royals and nobles coexist within the towering walls of a prestigious castle-like school, Violet Clementine, heir to the Gorgons, faces the daunting prospect of her first tournament. Excitement mingles with an inexplicable sense of dread in her chest, prompting Violet to seek guidance from her wise grandmother, Nana. In a quiet chamber adorned with ancient scrolls and mystical texts, Violet pours her concerns to Nana. 'The tournament is approaching, Nana, and I can't shake this feeling of unease. What could be wrong?' Nana, a seasoned Gorgon with silver hair cascading down her shoulders, imparts wisdom honed through centuries. 'Child, the weight you feel is the burden of your heritage. The eyes of our people will be upon you, but remember, you are not alone.' As Violet grapples with the responsibilities that come with being the Gorgon heir, her best friend, Aria, a harpy with wings that span the colors of the sky, becomes a source of support. 'Violet, we make a great team. Let's face the challenges of the tournament together,' Aria encourages, their friendship a beacon of unity in the looming competition. The training battles unfold on the field, revealing the diverse abilities of the royals. Violet's serpent-like gaze and mastery over elements collide with Aria's fiery pyrokinesis and hypnotic tactics. As the duo navigates the complexities of their powers, alliances form, preparing them for the true test—the tournament. Amidst the training sessions and newfound camaraderie, betrayal lurks in the shadows. A fellow student, James, succumbs to the allure of power, betraying Violet. Heartbroken, she finds an unexpected ally in James's former employer, sparking a chain of events that will reshape loyalties and unveil hidden agendas. As the clouds of uncertainty gather over the enchanted school, Violet confronts not only external challenges but also the intricacies of leadership and the resilience of her own heart. The tournament becomes a crucible, testing the unity of races, the strength of friendships, and the destiny of a realm. 'Stone Hearted Deception: Gorgons Gambit' is a high school drama woven with royalty, nobles, and the enchanting dynamics of mythical races. Will Violet rise above the shadows of betrayal and lead her people with courage, or will the looming darkness shatter the delicate bonds formed within the castle walls?"

I'm not sure what to think of this story. It's a muggle alchemist invited to teach at a Hogwarts-like school in a Harry-Potteresque world while unknowingly being the subject of a dimensional livestream. Fair premise. There's still only three chapters. The sudden inclusion of the MC into what appears to be a multi-dimensional secret sociey is the most interesting thing that happened so far, haha! The novel has potential. This reader hopes it does not lean too much on the Harry Potter references though, but that is possibly because I've read so much HP fanfic over the years and am burnt out. Still, great intro, author! Keep on writing!
