Interview With .........

[Sorry, that's not very polite of me. Let's start over if I may...]

Understanding that minutes of silence just went by and he was staring at the young man, Morty decided to take a step back and reset the atmosphere since Mr. Oscars apparently gave this man the last section of his 60 minutes.

[How did you do the, no, what I mean is what are you doin...no]

Stumbling over his words, Morty went silent again and closed his eyes taking in a few deep breaths. 'The eyes of this guy seem to have been through a lot...even those who have technically experienced thousands of years of life cannot compare to it...' wanting to get an understanding of his situation, Morty inquires of the individual...

[Do you know why you are here?]

His red eyes bore into me for a few seconds before a mesmerizingly deep voice spoke out "I'm here to hold up my end of a bargain"...

[Bargain? What do you mean?]

"I mean what I said...the Father of Chakra, as I now know him to be asked me to ascend to the land of the gods to answer some questions. I don't know why he wants me to do this, but I agreed due to the conditions offered by him..."

[Can you speak about those conditions or is it confidential?]

After pondering for a moment, the still young man finally nodded his head in acquiescence and said "Yes, I suppose I can... In exchange for answering your questions, I was given two guarantees. I was first ensured my younger brother would live safely until he has the strength to protect himself in The Shinobi World. Secondly, I was guaranteed the ability to watch my younger brother's life from the pure land...he means the world to me you know..."

[I see...and this interview? will yo]

"No, I will not remember this interview. My memories of this event as well as the Father of Chakra will be stripped away once I return..."

Morty watched the man's eyes which had small dots circling the center, he felt like the boy could read his every thought and knew what he would say before he spoke out...deciding to simply put forth a general direction and let the man talk, he spoke again...

[Please, take some time and tell me who you are...what have you done in your life?]

The young man tensed before finally taking his eyes from Morty and glancing around the room. After a few seconds, his eyes returned to Morty, and, the red in his eyes slowly faded replaced with deep black pupils, black as night. He took a breath and began to reluctantly tell some of his story...

"In some ways, it began when I saw the fighting, the blood, and gore on the battlefield.... death, sadness, crying, and excitement...the pure pursuit of survival tainted with international and political strife...

No. It began at the shinobi academy, I went to learn ninjutsu of the sort they talk about in stories. Power like Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama...I wanted to learn answers to ten thousand questions that my overly active mind thought up...

But what I found at the academy, during and after, was nothing like I thought...I was disappointed...in life, in shinobi...in the creation of child weapons....yes, I was truly disappointed.

But I suspect my true beginning lies in what produced my incessant need for strength...harsh training, sleepless nights...pain. Unexpected enemies, allies yet killers, betrayal and hatred...darkness.

I have been known by many names...Son, brother, cousin, and friend. I have been called Captian of Anbu, the genius of Konoha, missing-nin, traitor, murderer, copy crow, and "Crimson" of the Akatsuki.

I have earned those names, bought and paid for them...but I was brought up as Itachi, Uchiha Itachi..."

The boy paused after the last line, his eyes turned scarlet again as the atmosphere became tense once more. Suddenly, Itachi smiled with his eyes and said "but sadly, your time is up"...

Without leaving Morty a chance to speak Itachi burst into hundreds of crows who flew out of the building leaving a flabbergasted Morty behind...

Finally, Morty smiled and said...

"This is going to be one D@mn popular interview..."
