Conflict

When Ian and Gabe were brought to The Rooks headquarters, the sacks covering their heads were removed, leaving them sitting in chairs while tied up...

Surrounding the now able-to-see friends, were men dressed in black robes sporting half-face crow masks...the room was bathed in candlelight giving off an ancient and dark feeling.

This outfit sparked intense flames of hatred deep in Ian's eyes, these feelings were from Rango, who over the past decades has been at war with the filthy assassins in Altissia and Dome City. He's been killed twice already, although he eventually calmed down as he remembered that he also killed two of their members. They were his greatest accomplishments...

Regaining his presence at the moment, Ian looked around at all of the members surrounding them....eventually, the leader of the Rooks removed his mask. Every member in the room followed his example and both Ian and Gabe were shocked at the fact that many of the faces around them were familiar, they were each students who possessed very powerful abilities...

Just then, Ian heard his friend whisper to him..."Dude, we're totally in...." he ended his happy whisper with a slap to Ian's shoulder.

The Rook leader started to pace the room, being very attentive to the five people who were now "initiates" to The Rooks (of which Gabe and Ian were two).....after a few seconds, the leader began to speak...

"Each year, a handful of the top students at Tower Prep are tapped for membership, into The Rooks.....your chance to become part of that legacy is now."

"....I am the highest ranking member of The Rooks, call me Odin..."

Ian felt his eyes sparkle with mirth as these guys were obviously a joke compared to the assassin group created in their image, so making a joke right now seemed fitting...

"um, I thought your name was Jeremy?..."Ian asked, resulting in incredulous stares from everyone in the room, as silence descended.

Jeremy (Odin) decided that the best option was to ignore the slight dig and continue...

"...I am also your pledge master, although the five of you have been chosen to join our brotherhood, you are at the moment worthless squabs...you must now undergo a series of initiations. IF you prove yourself worthy, you will be reborn as a Rook, one of the Elite..."

Odin took a chalice from a Rook engraved box, poured some red liquid into the glass, and without anyone noticing, added something from a silver vial into the liquid...

"We begin each meeting the way generations before we have, by taking a blood oath.....LIVE BY THE WING, DIE BY THE TALON"

The leader took the cup, and after every member in the room took a sip, the cup was shoved in Gabe's face..."Drink the blood and take the vow..."

"....uh, hah... live by the wing and die by the talon, haha!...*sip*....mmm, tastes like grape juice..."

.......

Outside of Oscar's multiverse, on a planet within the Virtual Reality called BSV, a group of unhappy individuals sat in a meeting room...

"That boy is taking over, we need to put a stop to this!..."

Another man agreed with the first..." at first it was fine, a true novelty. But with this new "education" approach of introduction, he doesn't plan on sticking to the fantastical worlds. He alone has the potential to create a universe in which all of the populace wish to reside, we can't let that happen..."

"Then what's to be done?... We can't touch the boy at all..."

The one at the centermost of the meeting asked...."has there been any luck in finding where Raven Oscar moved last year? My informants said he relocated to a safe house with his capsule...he obviously predicted future actions taken against him..."

"There is no luck sir, we have been putting every resource we can into finding him, and the Blue Star planet's monitoring network is functioning at the highest capacity....but the AI hasn't located anyone with his description or any suspicious activity of the sort we're looking for..."

There was a long pause before the leader replied..."change of plans, we will be looking manually, get a team together to do the manual search of likely regions..."

The room had a surprising reaction..." you don't trust the blockchain's AI sir?...." one of the men asked.

"I don't know..." the leader responded uncertainly..." but things aren't adding up, let's reconvene in a year to go over the results.....we'll find him..."
