ok guys the story is good, a bit dumb mc i guess, thinks he owes a debt of some kind to every girl character he meets( some childhood friend/ princess who unfriended on the spot when he was weak and then suddenly misses him when he is becoming strong and the dumb mc of course helps her in every ocassion, some rich merchant princess who has absolute no use to him but acts like her knight in every of her troubles, some wolf princess who follows him without being asked for few days and suddenly becomes long lost lovers after coming back, gets in trouble then expects to be rescued as if its his duty. His whole life would be spent being pawns of other people. Recommend me some stories without these dumb MCs, where the mc doesn't feel the need to rescue every damsel in distress like long lost lovers

Writing Quality-4: Story Development-0: Character Design-2: Updating Stability-4: World Background-5 This is posted at chapter 500. Frustrating, Frustrating, and Frustrating all starting with capitalized letters. The author wrote this on the premise of slow development and a long story, and slow development it certainly has. There is PERHAPS a negligible change in the mc that amounts to literally nothing after 500 chapters. Which costed me around 5000 coins aka 100 USD(based on current average chapter cost). All just to end up only a quarter of the way through the punishment. This novel is supposedly going to the 2k chapter area, and I DO NOT think this slow plot is worth 400 dollars(others may). Second, I think the tags are a little misgiving, this is after reading other reviews. The tags "romance" and "weaktostrong" are the ones I speak of. The "romance" doesn't mean anything to the plot and only seems to be flirting or trope situations. The "weaktostrong" part is misgiving because the mc may increase in power level but he always remains the weakling/wimp. Now, the writing quality of this novel is wonderful with very few mistakes and plotholes. Story development has been described above although it may not be 100% accurate as I'm using reviews to fill the rest of the story in for myself. Next, the character design for the mc is horrible in my personal opinion. While I loved almost all the side characters and their detailed backgrounds. Finally, World Background and I'm amazed at how thought out it is. It stood toe to toe with my favorite novel on this portion, as the amount of detail and connections everything has is great. Overall, this could've been my favorite novel without a doubt. Sadly the mc is to disappointing with to few improvements, mentally and physically. The emotional roller-coaster it took me on was not balanced out enough and anger took over. I must sadly say I have dropped this novel. The lost potential that was lost is substantial my fellow novel readers.

In one sentence I would just tell anyone to keep reading. This novel has layers that peel back over time. The main character is fairly simple as far as protagonists go but he is a tragic, relatable and regularly evolving character. The side characters have depth that doesn’t always appear immediately (don’t jump to conclusions). So just don’t make early judgments and enjoy what is an ever evolving story with a sprinkling of historical fact and fiction.

Avan is my favorite writer, his writing style and the story hook me the most from other fantasy novel. I am sure this novel will be great to read as well

Well, let's start, exist various types of MC's: the silly MC when becomes stronger get intelligence; The silly MC, who becomes stronger, but not intelligence. But THIS MC, man I never had seen a ****y like that. 1- He is so much afraid of fight, he doesn't try to affront them. 2- He has no thoughts about his actions, like : If I do it, my friend'll die? 3- He doesn't learn about the mistakes that he does.

TL;DR The story overall is good, but you will die of frustration while reading. I will keep updating the review as and when I read more chapters. The story and progression is itself good. But if the story part is 50%, you will have 50% frustration with all the relationships of MC, his sheer dumbness etc. I probably will revisit or something later, but for now I'm pausing it for a while. For anyone who is busy in their own life or has another novel they are reading, I don't suggest this unless you are okay with above. If you only have subpar novels, this is much better as story wise it's actually a solid book in the way author connects different mythologies to magic and outer world etc. But I didn't see anyone like MC till the chapter I am in the comments. Author keeps saying it's a slow progression but even after 600 chapters, he still doesn't think for himself, has no spine, super frustrating character. MC is not smart or talented in ANY way. He is just lucky because he gets a few encounters without cause because there were many others with much better talents.

This book is an absolute beauty of a work, I started reading the book on Ficool books [till they shut the app down] then continued reading it on Webnovel. I love the story line, the settings [Moving from Medieval (Earth) to tech advanced (The Magnus Academy & every other place that's not Earth basically)], the main character Emery & all the assisting characters. So I have read up to chapter 1474 and this is my review so far. I like the story a lot but I do think it stalls a lot…spoiler warning…like right now. I do think there are also times the author drags things on for far to long. Now our MC does make a lot of stupid decisions and YES HE IS A SIMP. Ultimately it’s a good story but if you don’t have the patience then this will be a hard book to read examples like a single battle will take over almost hundred chapter that’s just a little to long for my liking but it’s whatever.

This is really good, our mc is hardworking and naive but I think the author should do something about his talent. The most important thing is please don't make him end up with lioness princess.

Its good but the writing kinda Gets a little weird in the beginning idk how to explain it in detail but when reading it it just feels off and the author keeps saying that The story gets better at chap 300 but why do we have to wait that long shouldnt the story be good from the start

so to start of i really like the world building and i can't complain about it but this idiot dumb mc it's so bad i can't stand him idk if i can continue this i am currently on ch 50 but mc is so unreasonable bad and weak, at this point i just want him to die like many other readers i dont know if i can continue but i hope mc is gonna be more reasonable and selfish. the world background is so good it's such a waste :(

Great story, just a single problem. For the first around 100-200 chapters the MC is absolutley awful. You have to pay before even chapter 50 so good luck getting through over 100 chapters with a hated main character while hemorrhaging coins for the vague promise of a good story after you spend around 1000 coins, then to read that you just need to fork over 10 times as much. I admire anyone who can get through that, I certainly cant. This story would be top 10 fairly easy if the first 200 chapters werent just unenjoyable to read, and 3/4 of that is paid content as well. Almost no-one will fork over so much cash just to read bad content before they can get to the good stuff. Oh by the way, dont even think of skipping. You need all the background to even understand the later story. In conclusion? Great story, absolutley do not read. I mean you can read the 46 (as of now) free chapters but good luck voluntarily paying for a bad experience.

I tried to give the novel ago again, running out of stuff to read, back to 265 where I was, its a well crafted book an the basis that you remove the main character. He doesn't show any signs of improvement he portrayed as naive spineless and cowardlyand someone who likes to read and search for knowledge which entails he shoukd not be as stupid and naive and spineless as he is, knowledge widens your perspective, he shouldn't be so naive or spineless. He bends over backwards for people he barley knows and the love interests, zero reason to do so. And he wants to prove he's special and constantly looks for validation when there's no need for it, it's obvious all his problems are based on him as a character which he himself should realise because he always runs into unneeded problems through trying to help others when he has superficial relationships with them at best, it shows zero realism there isn't an explanation for his personality as yes his Parent was killed but that would lead to either being frightened a burning need for revenge or nonchalance on the fact that yes he's dead let's focus on constant self improvement acclamation and to have a wide variety of mastered professions and skills to help in all situations so that you can earn the lone ranger path.

So when i first started reading this book i picked it up cause i had nothing to read, but as this i continued to read through those beginning chapters. It quickly became one of those novels that i wait to update everyday just so I can get my fix. I recommend this novel for anyone looking for a novel that has untold potential.

Maybe there is not enough chapter yet to judge but i think this story is the best magic related story on this site the characters are great and i like the historical refrence like with Klea(it’s the only one i know in the groupe),the only bad thing is that MC as a bad talent and hence take a lot of time compared to other to learn spell and mastery over his different Affinity but it will surely change throughout the rest of the story
