Chapter 9 - Contract with Rias

Hm, so…this is strange. Recently I have been feeling different…it has to be this parallel thinking. It was fine when I created the Minotaur body. It changed when I created the Oni body.

Now, the others thought that Oni body was destroyed. I know, it only grew weaker, and it resurfaced later on, that is when it happened. My thoughts were divided…all of a sudden, I could think of three things at the same time. It was like talking to myself, only now it wasn't a voice after the other but three at the same time. It was strange to say the least.

Those weren't the only strange thing happening to me. My mist had strengthened for sure. Now, my mist had as much power as the minotaur and the oni body combined, and it was easier for me to use both demonic energy, spiritual energy and ki. I even got this knowledge from the energy in the world of how people used it. It got me to thinking, did I really recreate Shuri's soul? Or did I call it out from hell.

It was something I couldn't answer. What I did get was another soul from that kitty. It wasn't even near her. I was able to bring it over by willing it. I wanted to get the souls from the boy too, but they were connected with something, and I couldn't drag them to me.

Still, I got something out of it, and I started arranging for Third Floor and Fourth Floor. From what I learned, from this soul that I didn't like was that he was the last master of Koneko and her sister.

It wasn't a simple story. For one, he learned about the Ranking of Devils in this world. According to the Level System that I am using. Level 1 to 100 was Low Rank Devil.

Btw, Level 1 to Level 10 is for humans. Level 101 to Level 400 is for Mid-Rank Devil.

Then 401 to 1200 or maybe 1500. That is High Ranking Devil. I still haven't met the strongest High-Rank Devil or Ultimate Rank Devil to know which section to divide them in.

For others to get a better idea, Humans are humans, with first ten levels including weak to strongest humans. Then 11 to 100 are devils who can break buildings.

Then from 101 to 400 would be buildings to multiple buildings to blocks to multiple blocks.

Above that would be, town, city, mountains, with Level 1500 being able to destroy largest of mountains.

Currently, at Level 800, Rias was somewhere about the City Level. Now that is where my trouble started. According to this soul, there are Ultimate Devils, then Satans, and above them are Super Devils.

He was part of a big network trying to create Super Devils, they were all part of this research. Koneko's mother fell in love with the human scientist working on the project and had two daughters. Years later, she died when she participated in a dangerous experiment, along with Koneko's father.

From there, Koneko and her sister were sent to this Demons family, and he turned Koneko's sister into a Devil. He experimented on her, and that girl became strong, even stronger than him. One day, he wanted a fresh Nekomata to work on after all the research he did on the sister.

As a result, Koneko's sister killed him, and escaped, that led to Koneko having the trauma of her life and getting scared of her powers. She didn't want to use them. Whereas I want her to use them.

Why?

Its simple.

I learned that if she activates her powers, she gains cat ears and cat tails. Now, as soon as I learned of that, I could hear the screaming sounds of desires buried inside me.

"I WANT THE GIRL WITH CAT EARS!!!! REAL CAT GIRL!"

And things like that. Now, with Koneko, and Akeno, and Shuri, whom all I had ways to get to or I already have gotten to.

There was Rias in the family, and then there was the boy with many souls connected to him. I knew how to win over the boy to my side. Rias was harder to get to.

Once the lust passes, she was going to be angry, but as long as I get to her whole peerage, there was a chance for me to get to her. But I still don't understand what is it that she desires. I am rather good at reading what people desire and what their problem is…and yet…Rias Gremory is appearing to be a mystery to me.

After thinking it for a short, very short time. I decided to bring Rias to the top floor. Since I could control everything in my domain, I cleaned her without having to touch her with my mist and get my mist dirty.

I am touchier than I thought I would be. Anyway…I provided her with some energy, waiting for her to wake up.

"I know you are awake."

And she opened her eyes, reluctantly, looking at the mist covering half the bed.

I wonder what she is thinking about when she seems my body. Technically, I am still mist, and I have gained a humanoid…outline, I think? I am still long way from coming together.

"What are you?"

"Ghost. Probably. I am not sure. I haven't decided my name…I am Amalgamation of Desires. Of people during the moment of their death."

"I see," Rias tucked her crimson hair behind her ear, looking at me when I looked into her eyes and realised what she was thinking.

"Oh, that might work. If you use your Evil Piece to revive Shuri and take her away from here."

Rias furrowed her brows, "Did you read my mind?"

"I don't know…you have been a mystery to me. I already know almost everything about the other members of your Peerage. I know the souls connected to that boy are being held in some type of prison, and not underworld. Then I know about Koneko and her sister and how her sister murdered their last master to protect her, and I know …oh, I already have Akeno unless you decide to take Shuri."

"Wait, wait, what was that about Kiba and the souls? And Koneko's sister!" Rias looked at me with wide eyes, and I realised that she might not have been privy to such deep information. I think her brother, the Demon King, whom I learned about from the soul of Koneko's last master might only have been suspicious. Or he was really kind. Or both.

"Hm," I feel like I have a very big grin on my face. From what I can tell, Rias Gremory is a girl who is very big on her Peerage, treats them like family. She would do anything for her family…now that I think about it…I don't even understand…what do I want from her? Why do I even want her…or the peerage…oh, right…the desires…if I get all purified…will I find me?

Before I knew it…I had my hand raised, trying to reach out for her when I realised what I was doing…I took my palm back…and looked into her confused eyes, "I am…an Amalgamation of Desire. If all the desires are satisfied or purified…then I want to know what would be under it all? Will I die…or will I live? I took this building…and until this moment…I didn't realise I had a desire of my own. You are a Devil…then let's sign a contract. Help me…clear the 33 Floors…and help me purify all the worldly desires. In return…I will help you release you and your peerage from your shackles."

"Purify…33 Floors? That's impossible," Rias shivered, thinking about her experience just now. She could believe she lost her virginity like that. Her first time was meant to be special and yet, she was craving for more. She wasn't even angry at him.

"You don't have to do it alone. All you need to do is spread the world. Also, you guys should be able to Clear Second Floor in a week or so with Akeno's help. Shuri and I can help her. I know how to get Third Floor Cleared Faster…mm, mm. I have the plan. I would love it if you agreed to it."

Rias watched the mist, and she could tell that it was jubilant, and that happiness spread to her. She gave it a strange look, and a little smile, "you are happy…?"

"I have a desire…and I have hope. I wonder if all floors are clear…I will become a 'Person?' …I want to know."

"I can work with you…there is a reason why I need to grow stronger too," Rias clenched her fist, remembering something, "Now, tell me about this Prison and Koneko's sister's story?"

"Oh, something like this happened."

And I started to repeat the story I was told and heard the story about the boy from the church.
