Chapter 54: Shurikenjutsu

Sasuke gazed at Itachi and added, "Oh yes, I remember Shisui was the one to teach shurikenjutsu to you." Shisui replied, "Hmm. I have not seen your skills, Sasuke, since you were little. I am looking forward to improvement."

Sasuke eyes widen in annoyance. "Let us not bring up the past."

Shisui slyly remarked, "Why not? I remember you always following Itachi." He then imitated Sasuke's childlike voice. "Nii-san, let us train together." Shisui then mimicked Itachi and poked the air. "Next time, Sasuke."

Sasuke's cheeks reddening from remembering this, he retorted, "Shut up." Itachi smiled and gazed at Sasuke. Shisui chuckled and said, "You have really grown up, Sasuke."

Itachi added, "You have given us a new chance in life, Sasuke. I am grateful for this opportunity." Sasuke gazed down, but his smile couldn't stop forming.

Sasuke replied, "Hn. Follow me, there are tons of targets already set up."

Shisui and Itachi smiled and followed Sasuke behind. They arrived in a forest with tons of targets that had a red dot in the centre.

Shisui stepped into the center with a confident smile. "I will go first, then." He drew a kunai from his holster and proceeded to create an impressive display. Waving his hands with practiced finesse, he conjured kunai from each fingertip. Sasuke couldn't resist a wry comment, "Show off."

Shisui's agile form sprang into action, executing a perfect backflip. He moved with impressive speed, foregoing the use of his Sharingan. The kunai sliced through the air, a symphony of sharp swishes and faint whistles filling the atmosphere. Their flight was almost too rapid for the eye to follow.

The kunai found their intended targets with precision, striking the center with resounding thuds that echoed across the training ground. Shisui touched down gracefully, like a falling leaf, leaving a trail of dust in her wake. He couldn't help but remark to Sasuke and Itachi, "That was quite enjoyable."

Sasuke arched an eyebrow, a faint smirk on his lips. "I suppose we're abstaining the Sharingan for now?" Shisui nodded in agreement. "Indeed, considering the proximity of the targets. We can reserve the Sharingan for longer distances."

Itachi and Sasuke took their places in the center, their movements a fluid, precise dance. Itachi's form was a blur as he soared into the air, gracefully releasing kunai. His landings were as deliberate as his throws. Sasuke followed suit, his own aerial display demonstrating his ability. He sent his kunai flying, the impact reverberating with a satisfying thud on the targets.

Shisui's voice carried excitement as he suggested, "How about we up the level?" Anchored firmly to the ground, he conjured a set of ten shurikens between his skilled fingers. A swift flick set the shurikens gleaming as they sliced through the air. The metallic clash echoed as five of the shurikens deflected off one another, altering their course. With calculated precision, the projectiles elegantly navigated past an intervening tree, finding their intended targets with satisfying hits.

Sasuke acknowledged with a hum, his admiration evident and compimented. "Hmm, pretty nice."

Tension hung in the air as the trio, unwilling to back down, embraced the challenge. Adopting Shisui's prior movements, Sasuke and Itachi took up different positions. They launched sets of ten shurikens at once, their lightning-fast movements creating a breathtaking display.

WIth metallic sounds of clashing, there shurikens harmonized with each other as their trajectory altered and found there final marks.

"This is becoming too easy," Shisui remarked, receiving nods of agreement from Sasuke and Itachi alike. A new challenge beckoned as Shisui produced five kunais. His Sharingan activated, casting its crimson hue, and his gaze fixed far into the distance – a precise 300 meters. Swiftly, he flickered high into the air.

With precision, the kunais streaked through the air. They wove in an intricate patterns, altering their paths around intervening obstacles. In a deadly choreography, the kunais deflected one another until, with an audible thud, they embedded themselves into the center of the distant target.

Sasuke's chuckle conveyed his genuine awe. Yet, the Uchiha brothers were not to be outshone. Itachi replicated Shisui's feat, his similar movements. As he released the kunais, their trajectory adapted masterfully until they, too, struck their target with satisfaction.

Not wanting to be outdone, Sasuke launched himself into the air. Five kunais materialized around him, weaving a dazzling pattern through the dense woods. The glinting kunais navigated the natural obstacles, the final thud marking their triumphant conclusion as they hit the wooden target.

Looking at Shisui and Itachi with a dry expression, Sasuke remarked, "This is way too easy for us, don't you think? I have a matter to attend to, so I will see you all for breakfast."

Without hesitation, Sasuke activated his Shadow Manipulation technique, and his entire body began to turn into mist. As he gradually faded from view, he added, "By the way, on my way here, I saw mother, and she insisted that all of us attend breakfast. So try not to be late. See you in an hour."

Shisui chuckled and gazed at Itachi, "His abilities are way too convenient." Itachi nodded. "Did you learn the teleportation magic circle yet?"

Shisui beamed. "Yep. It is way too convenient to pass up this opportunity. Now I can move around with such ease. Though it's kind of weird since space-time ninjutsu is rare, most supernatural beings think this technique is a basic requirement." Itachi chuckled, realizing how true Shisui words were. The forest fell into an expectant hush before Shisui spoke, breaking the silence.

"Alright, Itachi. Let's make this even more interesting," he said, a mischievous glint in his eyes. And so, they continued their training.
