Chapter 44: Family Discussion

A few days had passed, and Amaterasu had been diligently working on her technique to revive their bodies. During this time, Minato and Kushina had been assisting Sasuke in improving the technique to travel between worlds.

Sasuke had been shuttling back and forth between the worlds, specifically focusing on the Whirlpool village. They were working on connecting the magic circle with fuinjutsu to the necessary space channels in order to arrive undetected in the DxD world.

Meanwhile, his mother, Karin, Izumi, and Yasaka had been busy helping Kushina fix up her home in the Whirlpool village, where she would be staying. They spent countless hours designing, buying furniture, and decorating the house with items from the DxD world.

Sasuke found himself in the role of a miserable courier, constantly transporting furniture between worlds. They kept changing the design of the house repeatedly, which annoyed him since he had no say in the matter. To make matters worse, Yasaka was the one providing the money for all the purchases, so he had to keep his mouth shut.

Another significant change was the arrival of Team Taka and Orochimaru in the DxD world. Sasuke had brought them there, and they settled in an abandoned compound next to Yasaka's home.

On the day Karin arrived, Yasaka immediately bonded with the red-headed girl. Sasuke couldn't help but wonder how they had become so close so quickly. He observed them giggling and smiling, unsure if Yasaka had informed Karin about joining the harem.

In a meeting room, the Uchiha family, including the newest member, Yasaka, gathered for a family meeting.

Sasuke spoke up, "Amaterasu informed me that by tomorrow she will be able to revive everyone." Mikoto expressed her relief, "Finally, helping Kushina fix her home was the only way to relieve my boredom." Sasuke smiled back at his mother and replied, "Well, no worries anymore. We can finally go explore this world together as a family. I have only been in Japan."

Itachi added, "I didn't expect this world to be so much larger than the Shinobi world. Even the human world alone is already larger. And then there's the supernatural side, which is just as vast with countless realms."

Fugaku chimed in, "Yes, if we're going to settle here, we'll need to investigate more about the supernatural side beyond the Yokai. We all know that our clan will be seen as a nuisance due to our eyes and being humans."

Sasuke let out a sigh, saying, "Yes, when the God's Summit happens, it's best if we show them not to mess with us. There are so many techniques related to mana that can aid us and improve our ninjutsu."

Shisui agreed, "I'm on board with that. Ever since learning about mana, I've discovered numerous ways to enhance the Body Flicker technique."

Sasuke raised the question, "So, who will be the clan head?" He quickly added, "Not it." Shisui, not wanting to be left behind, promptly replied, "Not it."

Itachi's mouth hung halfway open, clearly beaten by Shisui's quick response. He shot a glare at Shisui before turning to his father, who was conveniently avoiding eye contact and whistling innocently.

The rest of the family members looked at Fugaku, awaiting his decision. Sasuke spoke up, "Father has been the clan head for a while now. It's time for him to relax and spend time with mother. We no longer have politics to deal with; it's just us, a family. You can take on the role of clan head to represent us, Itachi."

Sasuke continued, "If you're hesitant, you can become the clan head to guide the future Uchiha on the right path. No more arrogance, we can prevent the mistakes of the past and create a better future for our clan."

Itachi let out a sigh and reluctantly agreed, "Fine, I will make the Uchiha the most powerful clan in this world. We will ensure that no one dares to mess with us. I will instill in the future generations a sense of humility and teach them to consider the well-being of not just the Uchiha, but also the humans and Yokai. However, I must admit that getting close to other supernatural species might prove too extreme for us. I know in this world, having peace with everyone will be difficult."

Fugaku looked at his son Itachi and praised him, "You have always been a smart and capable child, Itachi. I trust that you will guide the Uchiha clan to glory. I am relieved to know that the future of our clan is in such capable hands."

Mikoto joined in, saying, "Son, always remember that we are here to listen to your ideas, no matter how extreme they may seem. We understand your ambitions and your desire for peace. In this world, I want our family to experience true peace and enjoy our time together, including any future grandchildren. And Shisui, you are like a son to us as well. So, don't keep us waiting—introduce us to your girlfriend soon!"

Shisui smiled gratefully. He had been friends and also their older cousin with this family for years, and now he felt a great sense of relief. He was no longer burdened by the responsibilities of being a mediator for the clan and Konoha; he was finally free from that weight.

Yasaka, observing her new family, found them all quite endearing. She felt fortunate to have met Sasuke and to be welcomed into his family. The future held promise and happiness for them all.

Mikoto turned her attention to Sasuke and brought up the topic of his harem. She said, "So, Sasuke, Yasaka told me about your harem." Sasuke coughed in embarrassment, and Shisui couldn't help but laugh at his expense.

Mikoto gave Sasuke a thumbs-up and said, "Mother approves. Just make sure you bring home some good daughters-in-law like Yasaka. Amaterasu and Karin are nice people too. Remember to respect their choices and treat them well."

Sasuke let out a sigh and replied, "Yes, mother. I'm still not completely sure about it, but those three have been a great help to me. I will make sure to treat them well." He nudged Shisui with his elbow and whispered, "Shouldn't the clan head have a harem too?" Shisui grinned mischievously and turned to Mikoto, asking, "What about Itachi, Aunt Mikoto?"

Mikoto corrected him, "Call me Mom, Shisui. I approve as well, but it's ultimately up to Izumi." Izumi shyly sat in her seat, her cheeks slightly flushed. She spoke softly, "Yasaka mentioned it to me, and... and I am not sure. I know Itachi is a great person, and he would never leave me."

Sasuke and Shisui looked at Itachi, waiting for his response. Itachi glared at them both, his teeth gritted. He finally said to Izumi, "I see, Izumi. Let's discuss this further in the future."
