1 Chapter 1

In the midst of the dark night sky, the moonlight was shining brightly on my face. And behind this stunning moon, which was surrounded by many stars, people could be seen merrily strolling down the streets. Some of these individuals appeared to be intoxicated, while others were gathered in groups, engaging in conversation while sometimes laughing.

It was a serene scene that demonstrated how wonderful the metropolis in which these people were presently residing had the potential to be; alternatively, it was possible that these cheerful people were only suppressing their feelings of anguish and distress.

The child had just woken up, as evidenced by the fact that his eyes were still a little blurry and confused as he looked up at the ceiling of his apartment while he was resting on a large bed that appeared to be magnificent. This took place in an opulent apartment that was located some distance from the city's central business district.

This young man looked about the room he was currently in, but the view that he was taking in at the time just served to make him even more perplexed than he already was.

The only other things he discovered in this room were a wooden table with a computer in the corner, a closet that was only partially open, indicating that this boy had only recently used it, a stand with some books he was unfamiliar with, and a television with a console that appeared to be broken as a result of its worn out state. All of these things were in spite of the luxurious bed that was in this room.

"In whatever place am I? As Altair began to take in his surroundings, he couldn't help but wonder what was going on.

He got up from the bed and walked towards a window he spotted in the room he was currently in, and as soon as he stuck his head out the window, he saw that everything was dark, and the only thing that was illuminated was the moon, along with a few streetlamps. He then went back to the bed and went back to the room he had been in before.

Because Altair had no idea where he was or what time it was, he began to feel a little anxious about his situation.

Altair blinked his eyes a few times as he tried to get rid of the peculiar screen that had suddenly materialised in front of his sight. "Isn't this like those stories where a hero is reincarnated in another world and given a system to help him?" "Isn't this like those stories where a hero is reincarnated in another world?"

After that, Altair came to the conclusion that he had been transported to a different world, albeit one that shared many characteristics with the one in which he had previously lived. At the very least, he had the impression that this was the case; nevertheless, he was only able to verify this with greater assurance when he walked outside his room or investigated it on the internet.

"Perhaps it worked out for the best... Because I was never anybody important or valuable in my previous life, I have no reason to believe that this life will be any different, though I do hope that it will be...''

Altair kept his gaze fixed on the display that was in front of him and noticed that there was a fresh message waiting for him there.

[There is a tutorial available; would you want to get started?]

[Yes] [No]

Even if he already had some knowledge of systems, he would still have to go through this tutorial even though he knew it was a cliche because any protagonist who received a system would always go through a tutorial describing the functions of the system. Altair knew this because every time a protagonist received a system, the protagonist would always go through a tutorial explaining the functions of the system.

He accepted it despite the fact that it was a cliche since he was interested in discovering whether or not this system was comparable to others that he had read about in his previous life. Since he doesn't recall getting ran over by a truck or anything similar, he is also curious as to why he was brought into this world. In addition, he would like to know the reason why he was brought into this world.

The only thing he can recall is arriving home from work exhausted after an exceptionally taxing day and immediately going to take a shower before starting to watch some anime. Other than that, he has no recollection of what happened.

Did I just lose my life from watching anime? If that were the case, it would be incredibly ironic and comical all at the same time. Altair's face broke into a self-deprecating grin at the thought.

[It has been determined that the host has a lot of questions; in this situation, I will be addressing your inquiries; thus, what is it that you want to know, host?]

"So I am a 'Host'... Alright, I would like to know where I am currently, and when I say where I am, I want to know the world," the speaker said. This question is so overused, but he was aware that it was of the utmost significance since he had a feeling that things were about to get a little more tricky from this point forward.

[In response to the host's question... At this very moment, you are immersed in the realm of High

[Education DxD]

[You are in the city of Kuoh, which is located in Japan] [The country of Japan is where you are]

"...and so it goes in this world..." Altair, who was currently deep in thought about the universe he was currently in, let out a small sigh as he continued to think about it.

While he was thinking, he saw his reflection in the window in which he was standing. His golden-colored eyes reflected a slight sadness that could not be hidden, as if that person had gone through a great deal of suffering in his life. His red hair swayed due to the wind that entered through the window of his room.

He could also see the clothes he was wearing, which at first glance would have appeared simple and unremarkable. However, when he ran his fingers over the fabric of the clothes, he could tell that the fabric was of a high quality, which indicated that it had probably been very expensive to produce.

Altair chose to put his concerns to the side and concentrate on the here and now since he realised that this was the most important thing he could accomplish at the present time.

Since you are a system that has been linked to my person, I am going to presume that you are able to display me my present status, is that correct?

[You've got it right—that's the most fundamental part of your system. I will provide you with an update on your situation very away.

As soon as the computer programme had finished its sentence, a massive screen materialised in front of Altair, which caused him to be temporarily taken aback. This display didn't have anything particularly remarkable on it, but the fact that it displayed such accurate information about his body was a pleasant surprise for him, despite the fact that he had anticipated seeing such data.
