31 Chapter 29

Underworld, in an unknown place in Lucifaad.

In a dimly lit room, which only a beam of light passes through, are two figures.

On the floor is an old man kneeling towards a figure whose back is to him.

"You will have your granddaughter back, Janitor-san. Just one more song and I guarantee you and she will be free," the unknown figure didn't seem to see any threat over the old man as his back was totally unprotected.

"You," The old janitor ground his teeth in frustration, before holding back what he really meant and, "You promised that if I kept an eye on those two and helped you...You'd let h~"

"And you will have your freedom. If today's event is successful, we may not even need your work anymore," the unknown figure chuckles lightly, "If all goes well one or two ducklings will be killed and someone will not be happy about it."

The janitor has a complex expression and after much indecision, he says, "Does that girl really need to die? You just told me to keep an eye on her and not that~"

"Who do you think you're talking to?" the figure finally turns around, revealing a man who appears to be in his mid-50s, "I am a conselour and representative of House Valefor. I know what is best for my race. The new Satan is too soft. They will drive us all to extinction."

The janitor just stays silent. It pained him to know that he would be guilty of the death of a girl, who although a devil --- She was almost the same age as his granddaughter.

The previous plan was just to provoke the new satans and the church with false extraction rituals, trying to start a conflict. But after hearing from Janitor months ago, who atoned for the conversation of the two heiresses...

They took advantage of them being reckless and would make sure a new war started.

Sirzechs or serafall would be none too happy about their sisters' deaths. The chances of them making a big mistake were high.

This was the same school Janitor, who had cast a suspicious glance at Motohoma's back, right at the beginning when he'd gone in search of the library.

...

"Your majesty," In a hologram spoke Sharpy Sexy feather. "We're stuck in Tokyo in the real world. It seems that somehow the master is so far away, yet so close."

I frowned at that.

The dimension I entered is similar to Tokyo, probably a very close parallel dimension. Similar to how the devils create rate game battlegrounds.

"Er-- There's also a lot of church members outside here, my lord," Sharp Sexy Feather said a little tensely. "It's getting harder and harder to avoid them."

What was the church doing? It must have something to do with fallen angels.

What the hell had happened to this world? This situation reminded me of Kokabiel, but neither the time nor the circumstances were the same. Is this an AU? I hoped not.

Anyway, there I was... About to make a decision that I hope I was right to make. My instincts told me the big show was approaching.

...

With a straight and heavenly posture, the angel categorized in the cadre class stretches his 10 wings and looks at those teenagers.

The holy glow emanating from him hurts them a little bit, especially coming from the spear he holds.

This was the abyss of difference between them, his aura alone was enough to damage them.

"W-Why are you doing this?" Rias asked, trying to buy as much time as possible and hoping to find a miracle.

In a way you can think of the redhead in the sexy, feminine version of 'King' from another anime. Both are otakus and very lucky. Rias hope that her skill works today.

"Oh? You want to know more," he says, amused to see the little girl's attempts to deceive him.

As such an old angel, it was clear he wouldn't be made a fool of by a girl who from his perspective was still in diapers.

"Very well, I'll tell you since this will be your last day. Consider this an apology gift."

Rias frowns but decides to use the time she bought to think of a way out.

"Buchou," Akeno said.

Rias nods to the two teenagers and they seem to understand what she was planning.

"I don't think I can explain it to you if I don't talk about myself first," He smiles mysteriously and continues, "Let's talk about the beginning, from the creation in the heavens. We angels are very simple beings. Created for a single purpose. Tools that it has only one purpose. We gladly carry out and serve our purpose, or at least it was meant to be."

The spear in his hand emitted a very strong golden glow, making Rias have trouble concentrating. The redhead's face and the others were damp with sweat.

"I was the angel in charge of carrying the tears of those who cry. Such a mundane task that I always did with great pleasure and zeal," he said with a mysterious smile, but deep down he carried a lot of pain, "It was sad to see humanity cry I felt conflicted because wiping their tears was a joy, my only function and at the same time so sad~"

He looks at his own palm and clenches it.

"I hated to see them cry, but at the same time I loved to wipe away tears. My existence was in conflict until I realized--- If I killed whoever caused the tears, it was no different than wiping out, was it? " He raises his hand to his face and from there a small tear trickles down.

The teardrop lingers on his fingertip and he looks at his own tear glumly.

"Unfortunately no matter how many humans I killed, there would always be those who caused more pain and misfortune and more and more tears shed. My wings turned black in this purpose of mine. To create a world where tears no longer exist. Until I met my 'mentor'," He said the last part in a sneering voice.

Kiba had seen a strange black butterfly flying close to them, somehow it didn't seem to be something mundane. This was my familiar sneaking up on them to execute my plan.

"Kokabiel was a great mentor to me. He taught me that the world we live in needs to be rebuilt, with us the fallen in charge. For a world without tears I would do that. For the good of all. For the good of humanity. I wouldn't have to see them suffer anymore," Cassiel is furious in his last moments, remembering what he witnessed 500 years ago. "Unfortunately, Kokabiel has become a coward. And although he taught me a lot, I had to do what he no longer has the courage to do."

Cassiel pauses briefly with a thoughtful expression as he looks in a certain direction.

Strange, Turiel still hasn't come back? Was the bug really that strong? thought Cassiel.

"Anyway. I will kill you all now. Sorry, Gremory hime. Your deaths will be remembered. I'm sure your brother and I will shed many tears in your honor," He raises his spear toward them and says, "This is the lost spear of St. George. A weapon coveted and sought after by the church for several centuries. When the red devil finds his little sister death with a sacred spear from the church --- He sure won't be happy with them."

St. George's spear was even more powerful than his sword, which was under Miguel's jurisdiction.

Cassiel's holy power glowed even more potently and the spear roared in power and small golden sparks swirled around its tip.

"Now Akeno," shouted Rias.

"Yes," Akeno was gathering energy for a spell that gave way to a glow in the heavens. A large magic circle formed over Cassiel and lightning fell towards him.

Kiba wasted no time and took the opportunity to cut the support of a large metal banner that was a few meters away from them.

With the banner dropping a large cloud of dust would form, providing a distraction for them to run away.

Or that's how they thought.

Akeno's magic didn't buy them the time they needed.

Even the brunette putting all her power into that attack.

The lightning bolt didn't even come within five meters of Cassiel and was reduced in size until it became a harmless spark.

"Too bad kids," He says wistfully as he brings the spear up over his shoulder, aiming to throw it.

Saint George's spear roared. The spear that according to legend has slain countless dragons and devils.

It was at the main moment that...

A high-pitched whistling sound sounded. (AN: Touma's Imagine Breaker sound.)

Cassiel and the spear will instantly lose their holy glow.

As if it were a lit candle that had received a single blow and went out.

"What happened, Fallen Angel-san? Did the electricity go out? You glowed so brightly I thought you would turn into a Christmas tree," said a masked man, who is static in the sky, both hands behind his back and emanates the presence of an emperor.

"Big bad wolf," Rias said with bright eyes in the masked man's direction.

Akeno and Kiba similarly look curiously and hopefully at that figure.

How had he dissipated his power? That power reminded him a little of the white emperor, but it was still different. Cassiel felt as if his power had been broken at its weakest point.

"And who would you be?" asked Cassiel in a controlled tone.

"Professor Who, the one and only," The masked man takes off his top hat and bows briefly in a theatrical greeting ceremony.

Although I made a grand entrance and dissipated his power in one fell swoop… It was just a bluff.

What I used is something that is far from being usable in battle.

It's a mixture of [Appraise magic], [Index] and a useless first sphere magic called [Dispel]...

I named the combination of these spells [All useless].

Harnessing the processing power of Index along with Appraise magic to get real-time spell information from my enemies around me... it uses dispel to hit the weak spot of magic/aura/senjutsu or any other supernatural energy to dissipate.

Every magic or technique has a weak point, the only difficulty was finding the right spot to hit.

No ordinary human could do the math necessary to use dispel in combat, so the index power was what would do wonders.

This is not a new idea, but an old one that I've only just started to get going. It was even Hikimage who taught me [Dispel].

Unfortunately the technique is not finished. It took me several minutes hidden analyzing just to be able to launch a blow.

"I'm Cassiel, but you've probably heard me before," he said assessing me. "Where is Turiel?"

"Turiel? So that was his name," I whisper as if I finally understand something and withdraw my arms from behind my back. In my right hand is the head of the said fallen angel, before I throw it to the ground. "He died before he told me his name. I'll remember him no matter how disappointing it was."

I used [Mirror of Adonis] subtly to give me an air of royalty and immensity.

Of course the manipulation was very subtle.

If I were to try to create an exaggerated image of my power, his senses would perceive my illusion. I just let a little aura leak out, as if I was unconsciously releasing it.

Cassiel found it very strange, as in addition to my power to dissipate his powers, he looks at my image flying and watches my back...

No wings or magic items and yet I was flying.

"No further ado," I Float a little lower to match his flight height and say, "You gave me your name and I'll remember it too."

*Lub-dub*

Cassiel's eyes widened, the holy glow again burst from his body in self-preservation. His heart raced and he yelled, "WAIT."

"Umm?" I stop briefly in a relaxed manner.

Even with the aura he exuded I was outwardly unshakable, like I was taking a ride in the amusement park.

But in the background...

I was sweating internally and firmly hoped that everything would work out.

"You are a deity, aren't you?" he asked tensely.

I just stay silent.

"So you don't deny it," he says with a tense face.

Even the weakest deities a 10-winged angel would not be enough to deal with them.

Rias, Akeno and Kiba had stunned looks at that information.

"It wasn't hard to connect the things," Cassiel says with a tight smile. "Only few beings can fly as easily as you can without a wing or magic item. And gods are included in this group. Of course this might not be the case --- but you can't hide that faint aura that emanates from your body," he said smiling because he thought he felt what I was hiding.

This also explains why he dissipated my holy power so easily, he must be a deity and a strong one at that, thought Cassiel.

As an older angel, Cassiel did not fear death.

But he also didn't want to die before realizing his dream and knowing the world without tears.

I needed to buy some time and that's why I was talking so much.

I needed a few more seconds to get another hit with [All useless].

"Why do you protect these children?" asked Cassiel pointing the spear in the direction of Rias and company. "We don't need to be enemies."

"I thought your goal was war," I said with a shrug. "Aren't you glad to have your first enemy?"

"You," He says through a gnashing of teeth and it was in his moment of rage that...

Now, I thought.

The butterflies that were flying close to Rias and company exploded en masse as they multiplied and surrounded them.

A teleportation magic circle was formed under their feet.

"W-What?" shouted Kiba as he was covered by a cloud of black butterflies that had a purple glow.

Likewise, Kuoh's two One-sama were surrounded and a teleportation glow appeared at their feet.

This dimension made teleportation difficult and it would take 3 seconds to complete.

3 seconds that I would have to hold the fallen angel.

This was my adventure.

Proof that I could outshine enemies superior to me.

"Cruel Sun," I yelled as I launched a huge, very hot fireball in his direction.

"Huh? That level of power? You underestimate me," He swung his spear diagonally and the fireball split into countless sparks of fire.

"Huh?" He doesn't see my figure nearby, but he soon notices that the devil's heiress was escaping.

He raises his spear, stretches his wings and launches himself towards them in a flight.

*High-pitched hissing sound* [All useless]

This time not only was his holy power erased, but the magic of his wing that kept him in the air were dissipated.

Due to the previous thrust and the loss of flight of the wings, his body becomes unbalanced in the air and he falls towards the ground like a meteor.

BANG!!!!

His blast falling to the ground caused fissure marks all over the floor.

he landed just a few feet away from the devils, and of course, this small fall didn't hurt him.

Rising quickly from the crater, he sees the cloud of butterflies and smiles.

"DISAPPEAR!!!" he swings the spear and a golden laser beam several meters in diameter shoots out of its tip, at least as wide as a large football stadium.

Annihilating the butterflies, Rias, Kiba and Akeno together.

That laser beam warped the Tokyo landscape from this false dimension, leaving a trail of at least 5KM destruction.

High in the heavens, I look at that scene of destruction solemnly.

It felt like an apocalypse happening on earth.

But what Cassiel didn't discover was...

The butterflies were just a curtain of distraction.

Behind me, floating, were the three teenage devils, bound and gagged while the teleportation circle was still at their feet.

Yes, I had used double teleportation.

I kept their outer teleport circle, while using another to switch their positions to another place within the false dimension. The teleport difficulty was just to get out.

This required a high level of knowledge of magic and control.

I smiled from above because he was already looking in my direction, the senses of a 10-wing fallen angel is quick to point out something wrong, however...

0 seconds.

The three devils were successfully teleported.

It had been a humiliation for Cassiel to lose his targets this way.

I smiled because I was milliseconds away from getting out of there.

That's where I made a big mistake.

The teleport delay was only milliseconds, but...

It was enough for a figure to emerge from behind me, which pulled back its arms and threw a powerful punch.

*BANG*

I flew like a broken kite towards the ground.

---------------

Warning: Index activated all protection, body enhancement, anti-fall spells, etc.

Damage found on the GM's body: Internal bleeding, four broken ribs and a skull fracture.

--------------

"Cough, Cough," I coughed up blood still on the floor.

Overhead was the figure of Cassiel smiling at having successfully managed to injure me, whom he considered a phony.

He wanted to make me cry.

He wanted to see the color of my tears.

After this humiliation he didn't mind making me cry.

It was almost losing consciousness on the floor that I thought about my life.

Since I came into this world, everything seemed like a runaway train. I often wondered why I was given this chance or why so many strange and inexplicable things were around me.

Certain points seemed disconnected.

Inexplicable encounters, powers of origin also inexplicable and even benefits that seemed to fall into my hands as if they leapt towards me.

This was prepared.

I didn't regret coming here.

Even now almost dying I felt at peace.

I felt that everything was as I always wanted.

This was the big big climax, I felt it.

Like fine art or music in an opera.

"Ahhh! So beautiful," I sighed with blood running into my mouth.

Strangely, those same images of the two blond teenagers popped into my mind.

I see that same blond boy staring at me in that bed, with his sister still shocked and crying over his brief resurrection.

It was in this reverie that a foot placed itself beside me.

It was the figure of a well-known giant that stood beside me.

"W-Who are you?" asked Cassiel when she saw a 'giant' all covered in a cloth cloak beside me.

He hadn't seen that big being approaching. He had been very sneaky.

I sit on the floor, still bleeding.

Ignoring me, Cassiel Analyzes that iconic figure until he remembers something, "You!!!"

"I know you!" Cassiel said in a pause.

"You are the heiress to the house of Da Vinci." said Cassiel towards the giant.

"Wrong," I say, getting to my feet and...

I was still weak and staggering, but...

"I am the heir to the house of Da Vinci," I say loud and clear.

"I'm Hikimage," I say once more.

The giant figure shudders, before a female voice says, "Oni-sama, you remembered."

I smiled wearily but bleeding, "Yes."

The figure of those two teenagers painted in that painting...

"It's good to see you again, Angelie."

"Little brother," the 'giant' figure says excitedly.

I have planned this day for a long time.
